How do I bypass the two-step verification of my Google Account?
Try it1. Go to Sign in - Google Accounts and click on Security. 2. Under 2-step verification section click on the "Settings" button. 3. Now under the "Application-specific passwords" section select "Manage application -specific passwords" (you might be required to enter your password again for security purposes). 4. Now just enter a descriptive name for the application you want to use the password for (in this case probably something like "Live Writer" and click the "Generate password" button. 5. Copy the newly generated password, then use it as your Google account password on Live Writer instead of your real password. I hope this helps.www.icognix.net

What are the funniest differences between Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Melayu?
Differences are just differences. Funny or not is subjective. What is funny for us may not be the same for others. So, basically, there is no criterion we could use to determine the funniest differences between two languages (or dialects). What we can do, however, is to observe the differences and tell how do they differ, and how it is funny—from our own perspective. And that is what will I do in this answer. Bear in mind that this answer is based on perspective of an Indonesian teenager, who lacks exposure from the form of language used in Malaysia.I am a visual person; I get distracted by pics or texts quite easily. This includes public signages. If I find something weird or “just not right” on a signage, I will look back at it twice or thrice. And this kind of thing happens every time I visit Malaysia.Let’s start with signages in the airport.I giggle slightly at Tuntutan Bagasi, which means “Baggage Reclamation”. It sounds too literal for me. Indonesian use Pengambilan Bagasi which meaning is more like “Baggage Pickup”. We usually use tuntutan for lawsuit, with its root tuntut means:to claim, to sue, to demand, to assert, to strive (in order to achieve something). When I saw Tuntutan Bagasi, I was like, why would a baggage sue someone?Another signage that burst me into laughter is this:In Malay, it means something like “CAUTION: Lift under maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience.” (literally “Any inconvenience are deeply regretted”).But in Indonesian it will be translated as “CAUTION: Lift (i.e. name of an event) is being held. All the difficulties are annoying indeed.”Whereas:diselenggarakan = maintained (M), (event) being held, organized (I)kesulitan = difficulty, discomfort, inconvenience (M), difficulty (I)dikesali = regretted (M), annoyed by (I)Both Indonesian and Malay root word selenggara can mean “to organize, to manage”, but the Malay one have broader meaning, including “to maintain” as in above example. In my head, the last sentence of the example sounds like they are complaining (or, curhat) rather than apologizing. And this sign on the street:This sign translates as “CAUTION: Construction ahead”. Pembinaan have the root word bina, which means “to build, to construct” in Malay. Hence, pembinaan means (physical) construction.Indonesian bina, on the other hand, carries the wider meaning of “to nurture, to build, to develop, to cultivate” but not “to construct”. Indonesian pembinaan is usually associated with human development. We talk about pembinaan of inmates, of national unity, of character, but never of roads or buildings.[1]Another classic example of funny difference is Pintu Kecemasan.Literally it means “door of emergency” in Malaysia, but “door of anxiety” in Indonesia. While its Indonesian version Pintu Darurat maybe sounds too dramatic for Malaysian—darurat is “state of emergency” in Malaysia.Tandas Orang Kurang Upaya (“Disabled Toilet” in Malaysia) means Finished is the Person who Doesn’t Make Enough Effort or Said the Person who Doesn't Make Enough Effort in Indonesian—if we use word-by-word translation.Tandas means “toilet” in Malay. But Indonesian tandas is an adjective and having two different meanings: 1) (completely) finished and 2) assertive, decisive (of a statement).[2] Sometimes it is also used as a verb meaning “to assert” or “to say”.Orang Kurang Upaya sounds too rude for us Indonesians, because kurang carries the connotation of “inadequate” rather than simply “less” as in Malay. Furthermore, upaya means “resource” in Malay—a noun. In Indonesian, it has been used interchangably with usaha, which is a verb meaning “effort”. Indonesian use penyandang disabilitas (person with disability), which includes a loanword.I am fully aware that these examples I have explained may not be funny at all for non-Indonesian Malay speakers. Like I said before, this is based on Indonesian perspective. To my fellow Indonesians, stop thinking that other Malay varieties sounds kampungan, weird or rude. Can’t you realize that our diction could sounds absurd for them as well? For example, this Indonesian song:Excuse my language, but I need to tell that the song’s title means “your d*ck” or “you’re a d*ck” in Malay, depending on context.[3] In Indonesian, this phrase means “I need you” and always used in romantic context. That’s just… hilarious.EDIT: Thanks to Faruq Farquhar for correcting some word translations.Footnotes[1] Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI)[2] Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI)[3] butuh - Wiktionary

How do I get 50,000 downloads for my mobile app?
Let me tell you what I did to get 100,000 downloads for my first app without any marketing budget, within 99 days.It was my first app and since I was just a student ,that means I didn't had any money to advertise. However I managed 150$.1. The selling point for my app was the UI/UX. And for me the presentation was everything. I knew I was short on budget, and I wanted to convert every click into a download (i mean there is a high probability that if a person clicks on the link,he may not download it because of poor screenshots)So good, professional looking screenshots were Page on important.so for that I needed a photoshop professional(although I designed the app myself,I wasn't very good at photoshop) so I hired a guy from freelancing websites.I paid the guy 50$ for 5 screenshotsgood iconI then hired a guy for the video. Now if you don't know how most of the videos are made, you may end up paying 150-400$there are websites from where you can buy templates for virtually everything. So we purchased a 25$ template, hired a guy for 40$ to do the changes to it.So the whole video was done for 65$2 I got fake facebook likes(40,000 likes for 40$ people are real but they don't come to know when they liked the page, there are scripts for fake facebook likes) as we thought it can be used as an audience, but turns out it was a waste,as facebook has changed it algorithms, and a post's visibility only increases if it gets enough momentum(i.e comments and likes). And it is quite obvious that no one would be interested in a post from a page which they never liked themselves. The post never signNowed 40,000 people which was our intended target. 3. I got the description done, ourselves. There are websites for SEO (or ASO ,app search optimization)like sensor tower which can be used for figuring out which keyword to use.4. Added 1000+ friends on facebook from my college before the launch5. I launched the app.6. I gave credit to those people on how they were so supportive and accepted our random friend requests and then sneaked in the download link with very pretty images.People like to take credits for no reason ,just like they want to feel good and superior and want to be a part of something, without any reason,I just exploited it.7. The early downloads and reviews were quite important8. They reviewed and downloaded.About 200-300 of them.9. Just after I launched it,I changed my schedule and started sleeping 9 hrs in 2 days .i.e 4.5 hrs a day, with 3 hrs of sleeping shifts. i searched for lists of websites which review android apps.Sent them a copy pasted message and often making intentional mistakes while typing the subject like "Android 'ApP' Review",to get their attention as you are not the only one sending them emails. we tried to make it look as professional as we could. But tried to keep the message friendly.I posted them 100 each day.10. Spamming on facebook groups. The post here doesn't have to be professional and the screenshots should not look professional,if they are ,(these screenshots were differnt from the ones one the app page) you will give an impression that your app comes from a company and it won't appear as a personal request but like an advertisement which you don't want.I posted them 100 each day11. Sending messages to youtubers to review it and then posting on their new videos ,asking people to try it and asking the channel owner to review it.I posted them 100 each day or maybe more.12. Posting on reddit, forums, qoura etc.13. reviews from feverr.14. backlinks.15. update regularly. We did this for 20 days. The rest of the downloads were all organic(means they were due to people searching for a music player etc, rather than clicking somewhere)13. Now the app is getting 2000+ downloads per day on average (for the last 20 days). All of them are organic. As of now,(i.e 14th october, the app stands at 95,000 downloadsCurrenlty when you search for a "music player" our app ranks at the number 20.And it is the only app within the top 20 with a range of 50,000-100,000 range. All other apps have atleast 1/2 million downloads. With the maximum at 500 million.P.S if you want to have a look at the app, send me a message or write a comment :)

What are some interesting startups in the education space? Why are they interesting?
Here's one noteworthy peer-to-peer education model in Paris newly opened in November 2013 to students around the world, tuition FREE! — École 42 — The school, housed in a former government building used to educate teachers (ironically enough), was started by Xavier Niel. The founder and majority owner of French ISP Free, Niel is a billionaire many times over. He’s not well known in the U.S., but here he is revered as one of the country’s great entrepreneurial successes in tech. This French Tech School Has No Teachers, No Books, No tuition — And It Could Change EverythingAbove: Nicolas Sadirac, the director of the ambitious, free, French tech school Ecole 42. Image Credit: Dylan Tweney/VentureBeatNicolas Sadirac, a French entrepreneur and educator, is the school’s director. Before École 42 he ran Epitech, a well-regarded, private, for-profit school that trained software engineers.PARIS — École 42 might be one of the most ambitious experiments in engineering education. It has no teachers. No books. No MOOCs. No dorms, gyms, labs, or student centers. No tuition. And yet it plans to turn out highly qualified, motivated software engineers, each of whom has gone through an intensive two- to three-year program designed to teach them everything they need to know to become outstanding programmers. The school, housed in a former government building used to educate teachers (ironically enough), was started by Xavier Niel. The founder and majority owner of French ISP Free, Niel is a billionaire many times over. He’s not well known in the U.S., but here he is revered as one of the country’s great entrepreneurial successes in tech. He is also irrepressibly upbeat, smiling and laughing almost nonstop for the hour that he led a tour through École 42 earlier this week. (Who wouldn’t be, with that much wealth? Yet I have met much more dour billionaires before.) Niel started École 42 with a 70 million euro donation. He has no plans for it to make money, ever.“I know one business, and that’s how to make software,” Niel said. “I made a lot of money and I want to give something back to my country,” he explained. To make the school self-sustaining, he figures that future alumni will give back to their school, just as alumni of other schools do. If a few of them become very rich, as Niel has, perhaps they, too, will give millions to keep it going. The basic idea of École 42 is to throw all the students — 800 to 1,000 per year — into a single building in the heart of Paris, give them Macs with big Cinema displays, and throw increasingly difficult programming challenges at them. The students are given little direction about how to solve the problems, so they have to turn to each other — and to the Internet — to figure out the solutions. The challenges are surprisingly difficult. One student I talked with was coding a ray tracer and building an emulation of the 3-D dungeon in Castle Wolfenstein within his first few months at the school. Six months earlier, he had barely touched a computer and knew nothing of programming. He hadn’t even finished high school. In fact, 40% of École 42′s students haven’t finished high school. Others have graduated from Stanford or MIT or other prestigious institutions. But École 42 doesn’t care about their background — all it cares about is whether they can complete the projects and move on. The only requirement is that they be between the ages of 18 and 30.“We don’t ask anything about what they’ve done before,” Niel said.Yet École 42 is harder to get into than Harvard: Last year, 70,000 people attempted the online qualification test. 20,000 completed the test, and of those, 4,000 were invited to spend four weeks in Paris doing an intensive project that had them working upwards of 100 hours a week on various coding challenges. In the end, 890 students were selected for the school’s inaugural class, which began in November, 2013. (The average age is 22, and 11 percent of the first class is female.)890 students out of 70,000 applicants means an acceptance rate a little north of 1%, or if you only count those who completed the test, 4.5%. By contrast, Harvard accepts about 6% of its applicants. And, even with financial aid, it charges a whole lot more than ZERO for its classes. The upshot: If it works, the school’s course of education will produce coders who are incredibly self-motivated, well-rounded in all aspects of software engineering, and willing to work hard. (The four-week tryout alone, with its 100-hour weeks, blows away the French government’s official 35-hour-work week.)All of École 42′s projects are meant to be collaborative, so the students work in teams of two to five people. At first glance, the École’s classrooms look a little bit like a factory floor or a coding sweatshop, with row after row of Aeron-style chairs facing row after row of big monitors. But a closer look reveals that the layout is designed to facilitate small-group collaboration, with the monitors staggered so that students can easily talk to one another, on the diagonals between the monitors or side by side with the people next to them. Students can come and go as they please; the school is open 24 hours a day and has a well-appointed cafeteria in the basement (with a wine cellar that can hold 5,000 bottles, just in case the school needs to host any parties).Students share all of their code on Github (naturally). They communicate with one another, and receive challenges and tests, via the school’s intranet. Everything else they figure out on their own, whether it means learning trigonometry, figuring out the syntax for C code, or picking up techniques to index a database.Tests are essentially pass-fail: Your team either completes the project or it doesn’t. One administrator compared it to making a car: In other schools, getting a test 90% right means an A; but if you make a car with just three out of four wheels, it is a failure. At École 42, you don’t get points for making it part way there — you have to make a car with all four wheels. The no-teachers approach makes sense, as nearly anything you need to know about programming can now be found, for free, on the Internet. Motivated people can easily teach themselves any language they need to know in a few months of intensive work. But motivation is what’s hard to come by, and to sustain — ask anyone who has tried out Codecademy but not stuck with it. That has prompted the creation of “learn to code” bootcamps and schools around the world. École 42 takes a similar inspiration but allows the students to generate their own enthusiasm via collaborative (and somewhat competitive) teamwork.Sadirac and Niel say that some prestigious universities have already expressed interest in the school’s approach. The two are considering syndicating the model to create similar schools in other countries. But even if they never expand beyond Paris, École 42 could become a signNow force in software education. France already has a reputation for creating great engineers (in software as well as in many other fields). If École 42 adds another thousand highly-motivated, entrepreneurial software engineers to the mix every year, it could very quickly accelerate this country’s competitiveness in tech. And the model will force schools like Harvard to make an extra effort to justify their high tuitions. If you can get training like this for free, and you want to be a software engineer, why go to Harvard?(news link:) This French tech school has no teachers, no books, no tuition -- and it could change everything

What would be some great apps for the Apple Watch?
Deliveries is a good app, it has a complication which you can add to your watch face. A complication is a widget that can be placed in different areas of the watch face. Deliveries will show you how many days left or just gives you quick access to open it.Cheat sheet is good for Passwords or pins and also comes with a complication. If you are in the UK Natwest and Barclays apps are good as you can check your bank balance from your watch. With Natwest you can use the watch to get money from an ATM without needing to put your Bank Card in the ATM.Trello is good too on the watch. You can add voice notes to cards. One Note can also add voice notes.Try out the camera app for the odd occasion where you need to take a selfie at a distance and have the camera propped up, you can check your watch to see if you are in frame and set a countdown timer to take your picture.

Do Pakistani police try very hard to solve cases or ignore some? Will Pakistani police work over each and every detail and take
I was a Scottish Police Officer, tutoring a young Officer, of Pakistani origin. He told the following joke -The World Police Championships are held in Africa, and the task given is to arrest a lion. The US police team chew their gum, flex their muscles and says “"no problem”. They rush into the bush and soon after there is terrible screaming and howling. The Americans return, wounded and embarrassed, clawed to pieces, minus a lion. The British Police put down their tea, dust off their uniforms and march off into the bush. Soon after there is terrible screaming and howling. The British police return, in short order, wounded and embarrassed, clawed to pieces, minus a lion. And so it goes on, with every “elite” national team rushing off, returning wounded and clawed up.Finally the Karachi Cops are left. They smile and nod and saunter off into the bush, to the sniggers of the other nations. Sure enough, soon they all hear terrible screaming and howling. Eventually, the Pakistani cops return, bamboo batons in hand, dragging a badly bruised elephant behind them, which is crying “"I'm a lion! I’M A LION!!”This was his joke, not mine!!
