Technically, no.  If you sign a release stating that you have received money, then you are agreeing that you have already received the money.  The exact phrasing of the agreement is key here, though.  If you have specific questions about your rights and liabilities, you should secure the services of a licensed attorney to review all the relevant details.Given the details, it would have been trivial for the lawyer to amend the agreement to state that the money would be sent upon receipt of the signed agreement.

HiEven I had same question before opening an account but after I questioned them about this I got to know clearly.Yes you can just sign and send the  forms to Zerodha. The reason they ask you to just sign is to make sure that the account opening process doesn't get delayed by the errors we make while filling forms. If there is a error you may have to resend it  If you are confident enough to fill you can go ahead and fill as per documents. or if you can ask them to send the filled forms,they also do that provided you send them necessary documents. Once the account is opened they send you the soft copy of your application via email for your reference. Hope it helped.

I liked the information immensely and saved it the very moment. I would exactly copy his words with some reformatting.Negotiate the price and settle with the buyer. Get the formats of sale certificate, Form no.29 and 30 from the vendors near the R.T.O. office, in duplicate. Ensure that insurance and emission test certificates are valid. If not, get them renewed. Obtain clearance certificate and no objection certificate from the bank/financier, if any loan had been availed and the vehicle is hypothecated or carries the hire purchase clause in the R.C. Get the sale to proceed by way of crossed account payee demand draft, if the amount exceeds Rs.20000/- and preferably even for a lesser amount. Obtain the copy of the identity proof and address proof of the buyer. Ask the buyer to present the documents to the R.T.O. and get the transfer of motor vehicle completed. Nowadays it is done the same day or the very next day. Take care to avoid week-end sales or in a period dotted with holidays, to ensure quick transfer. Obtain a copy of the RC with transfer endorsement incorporated. You may, if you can, accompany the buyer to the R.T.O. to complete the transaction expeditiously, if so desired. Prepare an acknowledgement for having received the vehicle. Mention in this, the vehicle brand, model, registration number, engine number, chassis number, the mileage recorded, each and every document handed over, the numbers of keys. If you are in service and as per service conditions, you are required to report to the employer any sale/purchase transactions above a certain limit, do so, in the format prescribed by your employer. If you are not a salaried person, but an income tax assessee and claiming depreciation on the motor vehicle, then report in your income tax return also.File all the documents above duly punched and securely fastened in a flat file superscribing it with motor vehicle number and keep in a safe place. Most of the people in India, simply hand over the papers and vehicles upon receipt of sale proceeds that too by cash, and do not bother to see whether the transfer requirements under the Motor Vehicles Act are complied with. The buyers too are slack. Mostly either or both depend upon agents and touts. In many cases, blank signed forms are given. There are a few incompetent companies (or in-house software at your office) which do store the password directly. If a company is able to send you back your password in an email or over the  phone, that's a sure sign that the company's software is very insecure.The reason passwords are never stored directly in the database is that anybody who gets access to the database would then have access to all the  passwords of all the users. That would be disastrous, since not only would accounts of millions of people be compromised in an instant, but  also remember that many, many people use the same password across websites, so somebody who gets your Quora password might also be able to get into your Gmail and Facebook and other accounts.Instead, your password is stored using what I would call "one-way encryption."  (Technically, this is called a one-way function, or a cryptographically  secure hash function. Basically, "one-way encryption" is an encryption method in which it is easy to  encode stuff, but very difficult (read: almost impossible) to decrypt it. Now, if you enter your username and password, the system finds the database record based on your username, and finds the encrypted version of your password there. It then takes the password that you entered, encrypts it using the one-way function (and this takes negligible time), and checks whether the encrypted form matches what is stored in the database. If yes, you're allowed into the system, otherwise you are not. If, any admin, or malicious user gets their hands on the database the encrypted passwords are of no use to them. It is still practically impossible to decrypt the stored encrypted entries and get passwords out of them. Thus, your password is safe even if the database is compromised.However, it is still possible for the hacker to try and guess what your password is. The basic idea is very simple: Guess what that user's password might be. Use the one-way function to verify whether the guess was correct or not. This takes 1 microsecond. This means that they can check a million guesses in 1 second. In other words, and they can try all the common English words, all common proper names of people and animals, with and without caplitalization, and with and without one or two digits appended to the end - all in a few minutes. Thus, if your password happens to be Jebediah23, it will get cracked in a few minutes if not less. Now realize that if I get my hands upon the database of encrypted passwords of a big site like LinkedIn - I have access to millions of encrypted passwords. In this database, I can guarantee that there will literally be hundreds of thousands of users with passwords that are English words or names, possibly with a digit or two appended at the end. In a few minutes, by simply trying all English words, names, etc., I can crack hundreds of thousands of passwords. In that case,  instead of an encrypted password, the website stores an "authorization token"  that is provided by Facebook/Google/etc to the website specifically for this user. This authorization token can be used only by this website to check whether this particular user is logged in. This is done by the website contacting Facebook/Google's servers at the time of each login. If a  hacker gets access to this authorization token, it is of no use to her,  since it cannot be used by anybody other than this website. This is because the website itself has a secret key provided to it by Facebook/Google, and this secret key is not usually stored in the database.
