What are the types of off page SEO?
Nice question. Inspite of all algorithm updates and penalty by Google, doing off-page SEO still takes its value and brings benefits.Submitting is easy ; but gaining high authority links based on your website theme is hard.Let’s forget about the basic stuffs that worked in the past, here i am going to share few tactics and tips to get you suceed with your off-page SEO project.Note :I’ve excluded .edu link building and guest posting from the list, since intentional backlinks are gained from these tactics are becoming less signNow.And I haven’t talked about social media marketing and Q&A that are the most discussed here.Don’t trust all directories/ yellow pages / classified ads!Even the most legit directory Dmoz is shut down.Don’t ever go for directory submissions, unless if you’re submitting to location based directories or niche directories.Google has penalized lots of directories and be aware before submitting to any. It’s like getting ourselves fall in trap and it finally makes you to disavow such links. Before submitting to local/niche directories, try searching it through Google using site command. If you can’t find any results, then it’s certainly penalized. The same applies to yellow pages or classified ads submissions. As google algorithm is getting rolled all the time, these sites are in extreme danger of getting affected. We should be wise and alerted enough to stop ourselves from getting into it.PDF / PPT / Image sharing sites always take their prominenceWhen you notice through your search console, you could see the list of ppt and pdf files that are bringing you organic traffic. This can’t be shown in Google analytics, however you could add them as events for PDF / PPT click tracking.Did you know you can optimize your PDF files for search? The same can be done in PPT as well. All you need to do is to -> Go to file -> Properties -> EditEdit the necessary SEO properties like filenames, title, description, keywords and so on to optimize it for organic search. Also, it bring out visibility, submit it to sites like SlideShare.net , Scribd - Read books, audiobooks, and more and so on.Share all the images you product to Flickr, a Yahoo company, Photobucket - Photo and image hosting, free photo galleries, photo editing and all image sharing sites with linkback to your website to get more visibility in google image search.Content re-purpose:Write one content - either a blog or a white paper.Repurpose to all possible formats and do off-page promotion.Blog promotion - Submit to blog directoriesConvert it into ppt - Promote to slideshare like sitesConvert it into PDF - Promote to PDF sharing sitesConvert it into e-book - Promote it to bookmarking sites. Also helps in lead generationConvert it into video - Promote it to youtube, vimeoWrite different snippets, almost 10 combinations (~1000 words) about the e-book and use it to promote in the above platforms. You need to add elaborate description to get your youtube videos, slideshare ppt and images to rank best in the search engines.Content republishing:Content re-publishing is the most effective tactic to gain backlinks, establish brand awareness and build followers in many platforms. Some of the most popular re-publishing platforms are Medium – Read, write and share stories that matter, Linkedin pulse, google plus and so on.In medium, you can find an option as “Import story” to republish your already published content.Though there’s no such option in LinkedIn pulse, you can add “Orignally published in {YOUR BLOG LINK”} at the end of the blog.Just republishing in these platforms are not enough.Your content should provide quality enough to get it picked by LinkedIn editors. They will move your post to the respective channels with thousands of followers on it.Another hack to get recognized by linkedin editors is to send a tweet marking “tip @LinkedInEditors”Similarly, there are lots of channels in medium as well. Contact the admin and get your blog to be featured, if it really deserves it.Gain high authority backlinks:There are lots of ways you can get / grab high quality backlinks from.(i) HARO:HARO is the place where press requests for quotes / ideas. On getting your quote approved, you’ll get a valid high authority backlink and brand awareness too. Here’s a sample queryWhat you get in return is something like the screenshot below.Steps to do -> Just sign up with Help A Reporter to get press requests right to your inbox.(ii) Citation checking :This is a simple, but a quick way to gain backlinks.Go to google alertsSet up an alert for your brand name and its modifications (space, common misspellings etc)You’ll receive alerts to your inbox.Keep monitoring it daily and if you find any brand name unlinked, all you have to do is contact the author and get a valid backlink to your website.Simple right? Here’s a sample email template.(iii) Broken / dead link building:Find out your broken / lost backlinks.Go to SEO Backlink Checker & Competitor Research Tools and check the backlinks reportYou could find the ones that are dead now. It’s easy to get link from an already linked site than to convince a new website for backlink. If you really find this post useful, show your like by upvoting this :-)

Which is the best central university for an M.Com, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Central University of Karnataka, or Central
As all these universities have been made by central government according to act established by parliament 2009,so these all are new universities. As i would like to suggest something about the course of central universities,no doubt each n every course is very good to study n designed in a proper manner not only for M.Com but for every subject. But still i would like to suggest not to study here bcz i’ve pursued my graduation from here n quit post graduation as i was an integrated msc student upto 2018–19 sessionThe reason is:System still pursuing there. All the higher post pursuing person, they have nothing to do with students. For each n evry small to small work, u’ll be completely harassed by the system. You will be completely tored by the system personnel and for each n every work, the whole system personnel like HOD, DEAN etc will tell u that i have no power to do for this and that. Even for a valid sign of HOD or DEAN, u will be harrased for 2–3 days. If u are suffering from any disease even they don’t care u…if u give application to HOD or DEAN for re-exam bcz of ur lying disease nd even after showing medical reports, they don’t care. I’m saying all these with my own experience happened with me in CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF RAJASTHAN, there 3 exam happen in a semester, 2 internal and a semester and i felt serious in 2nd internal as i was suffering from cervical problem. I was not able to pursue 2nd internal and for 15 days i was not able to balance my whole body but even after showing medical reports,DEAN of life science (which is the largest school having 3 departments) refused for conducting my internal exam and after that he abused me whatever he could did and finally said to me i have nothing to do with u…take your T.C and get out of university…we don’t care. Nd also i’d like to suggest for students applying for UG course all these will happen with u also and also NOW UG COURSE IS GONNA DESIGN BY AUTHORITY IN SUCH A MANNER THAT U CAN’T be able to take ur BSC only u will must carry ur msc other wise u’ll be not awarded even bsc…u will have to carry ur 5years.Now i’d like to talk about teaching and study. No doubt the course has been made to develop our skills in all d fields but the way of teaching is really worst. Professor teach in class by their own already formulated ppt and they don’t focus on the students but they just slide all the ppt.Environment: outside the university there is nothing…u even don’t get a good food and haven’t any environment of education as situated in a backward village. And finally i end up with food that u would be provided by university Mega mess is really superbu have never eaten this type of food. When seession starts, they provide meal like u’ll feel like ur home food and u’ll be umpressed and after 1 or 2 months it becomes hahhahahhahah….. i don’t want to explain if u will get admission there then feel all that…pleasure

What would be a fair/good stock option formula to attract and invite talent into a start up?
We are in a similar situation, but we already have seed money, enough to startup. To involve someone in your project is a hard decision, harder if there is no money. I would let the other part know your current situation, no lies, if you don't have money, say it, he/she could suit you if there is a proper agreement. First of all, is extremely difficult to convince a senior profile (more than 4 years working in the same area) to work without a salary in your company. Or future company. So, I would target crazy young ones, with nothing to lose and everything to win. If it is the case, you can find incredible talent amazingly cheap. If you are looking for experienced talent, I would proceed as follow:I would offer equity ONLY if a set of milestones are completed in a reasonable period of time. If not, everybody loses. If the whole team get along well, and you complete the milestones in 6 months, which I think is time enough to validate your idea, I would introduce them into the equity as follows:A) At the lowest price per share as possible, I mean, the same you paid, and the total amount should be equal to the sum of the 60% of the salary they would have in other companies so far. Or approximated to it. The idea is giving them the feeling of cofounder. And actually, is like if you were using their working hours as an investment. Example: Fictional money, Programmer A earns 100 coins per month in Goggle, you want him to work with you, You would give equity equivalent to 60 coins per month. Let's say you validate your idea in six months, (Validation means traction and early revenue). You would onw him/her 360 coins in equity. If you valued your company in 2000 coins (just the idea and a powerpoint saying how it would work), you would agree to give Programmer A 360/2000=18%. Note 1: I said 60% because the other 40% is the Opportunity cost of being part of the equity. Note 2: Valuing your idea+ppt in 2000 coins must be respected by the talent. Remember you need him, but there are others to ask. And as long as you don't have a high burn ratio -you didn't start producing it-, you shouldn't worry if the quest takes 1 or 2 months.B) If you don't want to give equity, which is respectable, I would sign an agreement where you as founder, will respond with your own money in future months, between 70%-80% of market salary for the next N months, the 20% left is another cost of opportunity, as the talent would be the Chief Whatever Officer of your company, if you are extremely sure that you would face the debt if things go wrong. C) You can Mix A) and B), not giving them equity at the first time and then you would sell equity to them at the "validate stage" price. Imagin that once you validate it, from 2000 coins, now your startup (idea+ppt+mockup+team+prototype+beta+users+few clients) is valued in 60.000, 30 times 6 months before. Your dilution would be way lower than 18%, and the talent would feel involve and backup by the company. It's all about the ability to take risk of your future partner. You are already taking risk from the very beginning.

Do angel investors invest in ideas?
Hey there. ;)Well, your question is very natural and common. I’m glad you asked it because you’ll be able to save a lot of time and frustration.Let me tell you right away that you should never address an investor to start a business. Makes sense? So, this is something that 10% or more of the wantrepreneurs typically don’t understand. If you’re trying to raise capital, that’s because you already have a business and is part of your overall growth strategy fundraising to scale faster. If that’s not the case, if you cannot pinpoint a clear bottleneck in a business that you already have, there’s really not that much use in addressing an investor. Now, I’m not saying there aren’t cases in which investors put their money on pre-revenue cases, because there are. But typically those are cases in which the founders are serial entrepreneurs and have some sort of track record experience. Basically, they know what they’re doing, and they are focused toward a single business model and idea. Besides, the market is often very sexy, we’re talking about some sort of skyrocketing industry. So, as a bottom line, I truly believe the answer is “no, investors don’t put their money on ideas”.So, what should you do, right? And here are a few steps that I’d like to share with you in case you want to develop any of those ideas (WITH FOCUS and consistency) without spending too much money - so that later on you can, then, raise the capital to build an operation:The first step you should always have in consideration – and we’ve already talked a little bit about it here – is to know your customers better than they know themselves. Now, this tends to be a highly repetitive point and can easily get boring, so let’s face the brutal facts: I’m not expecting you to get out there and randomly asking people on the streets what they think about your product. What I’m expecting you to do is brainstorming, researching online on forums, amazon reviews, and essentially, thinking and discussing a lot with your partners, friends or whoever you think is the right person, about your customer profile. Until you know this, there’s no business, so there’s no reason to raise money either. The second step is starting by the end version – seriously, I love this concept -, by Squeezing your Idea. This is an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) 2.0. Instead of prototyping something, just avoid doing anything at all that consumes money and time – if possible. Design the package, the layout of your future version, and show it to customers. That’s all it takes to start generating traction – also known as revenues. The third step is – naturally – getting traction. Once again, you should tell to yourself “ok, here’s what I’m going to do: until I have someone paying me in advance for this product, or clearly giving me a good indication that he loves the product, I won’t spend 1 minute developing it”. This is the type of reasoning I’d like you to have, being strategic in your way of doing things and building your startup. Focus on validating the idea first, test it through 1-page website and Google AdWords, use Crowdfunding, get pre-orders, you name it. Do whatever it takes to have at least a few sound “YES!” before you start developing the product. And fourth, imagining that you need a small amount of cash to getting started with your business and that it isn’t enough money to bother asking to an investor, you have several ways that I like to call “Shortcuts to Capital” that you can use to fund your startup for the initial months. For example, bootstrapping is typically one of the best, crowdfunding is also another way – either through donations or equity -, but definitely the best is the so-called Customer Funding. Basically, through subscription or drop shipping models, or even by in-person negotiation to have your own customers funding your business – read this article on this subject.Alright? Hope it helped. ;) If you need anything, feel free to PM me.All the bestPedroP.S. If you’re looking to raise capital for the first time, feel free to download my 10-step quick guide on the subject, I think it might help you lining up the dots to get started. Here’s the link: 10-Step Guide to Raising Money

How was your experience on a German student visa interview?
Today was my German Student Visa Interview, i.e. 01/07/2019.My appointment was at 10:45 A.M. at German Consulate, Mumbai. I had left home early at around 7:15 A.M., but alas, heavy rains made me a bit late, as I had planned that I would be signNowing the consulate by 10:00 A.M. in the worst case, but that didn’t happen, I signNowed just 2–3 minutes prior to my appointment and was about to miss the timing. So, please during heavy rains start extra half an hour early if you stay far away, like me, as I stay in Navi Mumbai. After the security checks, I handed over the asked documents at the counter, They were:1.Visa Interview Receipt2.Passport3.Demand Draft4.2 duly filled demand draft forms5.1 PhotoAfter submiting these required documents, I was given a token along with the guidelines about how to arrange the documents. I was also returned the documents except for photo, if I remember. I was also told to write my name, mobile number and passport number behind the demand draft. Please do not stick your photos on the application form. They will tell you when to do it.Then, I had to arrange the entire documents according to their guidelines at the waiting area. I was a bit nervous though, as I was alone and a single mistake in missing the document would affect my visa approval. So, anyways I was told to arrange the documents in order.First was Demand Draft, then 2 duly filled demand draft forms, then additional legal and contact information form. Then I had to make 2 copies of all the documents which I had carried with me. ‘I am just mentioning the documents, which they had asked for (they are not in order). They had asked for Application Form, Declaration on True and Correct Information Form, Admission Letter, Confirmation of payment of fees, Admission Contract, Embassy Letters, Health Insurance, Class 10 Marksheet, Class 12 Marksheet, Diploma Certificate (If applicable), Bachelor’s degree certificates (if applicable), Blocked Account information (if applicable), Bank Statements, Identity copies of sponsorers with their signs (Passport and PAN Card only), affidavit of sponsorship, cover letter (signed), motivation letter, IELTS/TOEFL certificate if applicable, German proficiency certificate and your passport copies. Make sure you sign all the copies of your passport. After arranging the above documents in the order as mentioned by them, you need to wait for sometime until you are called. Then you need to go to a counter for submitting your documents. The Visa Officer will first ask you to submit the passport with token, application form and photos. Then the Visa Officer will ask you to submit all the documents which are in 2 sets. Then that person will go through each and every document. Meanwhile, they will ask some general questions as well. The following questions were asked to me:What will you be studying in Germany? Which university?Where do you stay? What is your highest education qualification, how much did you score?Where is your university?Do you have a blocked account? What is the medium of instruction for your course?Tell me your motivation in one line. What is the duration of your stay in Germany? (If you are going for foundation course (Studeinkolleg), which I would be doing, you should also include the period you would spend in Germany after your foundation course. Like for me, one year is studeinkolleg, then 3 years of bachelor's, so it's a total of 4 years. This is vital as it will decide whether you are going there for a long period of time or not and this will decide you will come under which category, for long term visa it is category-D.Where would you be studying after Studeinkolleg?Do you know any German? After these questions, the visa officer was done with seeing the documents. The visa officer had not asked for my parent's bank statements, Income Tax Returns, Affidavit of sponsorship as I had already paid the fees well in advance, so my process was quite fastracked. They just asked 3 original certificates, viz. Class 10 mark sheet, Class 12 mark sheet and IELTS certificate in my case. After all these formalities, I was handed over the documents which were not needed by the visa officer. I was then told to fill a questionnaire and write a motivation letter on the back of the questionnaire. The motivation letter was supposed to include Why Germany as your study destination?, About your course and your future plans after your course. The questionnaire was quite simple and had just general questions. Only, 1 thing I would recommend you is that learn some names of few scientists of your field of study as that was asked on the questionnaire. After this, I was handed over the receipt of payment of Visa Fees, the passport was stamped with the date of visa interview and the type of visa category which in my case is a category-D and was told to get my passport stamped at the nearest VFS Centre, once I get my visa approved. It was also told that I should not contact the consulate for upto 90 days regarding my visa decision and that they will take up to 90 days for getting my visa approved. However, don’t get scared that they will take so many days, they give it usually within 3 weeks as well, as it was the case with some people. After that, I was told that all my documents have been accepted.Looking forward to getting a positive response and get my visa approved. But, I have a gut feeling that it would be accepted as I have already paid the fees and have not left any documentation incomplete.Tip: Don't staple any document, just use office pins/U-pins for distinguishing one document from one another. However while submitting the documents, remove all the pins. Carry 2 photocopies of all the documents and take extra copies of demand draft forms, declaration of true and complete information form, additional contact, and legal representation form as if there are any errors you can get them rectified over there. Do check the visa fees properly as I saw many people had committed this mistake and bought the DD of incorrect amounts, leading them to go back. Also bring as many documents as possible, as you never know what they may ask. They had not asked for air tickets, though I had booked it. So, it's your choice whether you want to book the air tickets before the visa interview or not.If you have any queries, do ask me.P.S. I am going to Germany for a bachelor’s, hence the one-year foundation course (Studeinkolleg). All the best for your Visa Interview.Edit: My visa got accepted on 04/07/2019, which is unbelievable.Do watch my YouTube videos related to German student visa as I have given the enitre process of obtaining the visa in detail. Please subscribe to my channel.

How crucial is experience in a startup company before trying to launch your own?
Thanks for the A2ALet's look at what's the key ability of the founders of a successful startup before we get to answer this question:Deep understanding of the domain : An understanding which doesn't come from google, which doesn't come from someone else giving you an idea or which doesn't come from " oh...this us Uber of X or X of India". It comes from getting first hand experience of the problem. By talking to various stake holders, as to why the problem is the way it is. Why has no one solved it so far. These experiences and curiosity leads to some insight, which is 'your' insight. This 'insight' is the foundation of your startup.Expertise needed to solve the problem : For example, If the problem requires building a hardware device to solve the problem, you must know how to build it, or you must get a co-founder (not employee) who knows/understands how to build the hardware device. Same applies, to s/w, biotech, medicine or for that matter anything else. Just having an idea, and hiring people to build the solution rarely succeed. Ability to market & sell : Don't mistake of believing that if the product is good it'd sell for it self. NOTHING EVER SELLS FOR ITSELF! Every product needs either marketing, or sales or (most of the time) both. If you don't know how to peddle your product, you have a huge hurdle to cross. Again, hiring is not a solution. There are many more key success criterion for a startup, like market dynamics, team etc, but let's focus on the above with respect to this question. Now, let's answer the original question, is it crucial to work for other startups before starting on your own? Yes & No. If you have what it takes (all of the above) - you are good to go. However, if you are still toying with an idea, then it is best to work for someone else in the meanwhile.Do yourself a favour, do a self assessment and find out if check all the 3 items, then approach an experienced entrepreneur or any other mentor that you trust, let him grill you - you'd know if you are ready to start. All the best

Which one is better: Hike or WhatsApp?
Edit 2 (after 2+ years): They have almost destroyed this app, and only stickers and chat is available. Such a shame.Edit (after ~1.6 years): They have really messed up the app and removed some features and introduced unneeded features. Negative points for that now!P.S. I am not working/related to hike in any way except that I use it.Hike is better, hands down. You ask why?Hike has faster messaging speed than WhatsApp. WhatsApp takes high bandwidth for sending messages whereas hike can run on slow connections without any problem.Hike has more emojis than WhatsApp. Check it out!Hike has stickers for almost everything, which isn't there in WhatsApp.Hike has attachment limit of 100 MB, whereas WhatsApp's limit is only 16 MB.Hike allows you to share any type of file, not something we can do on WhatsApp.Hike has a news corner, which reduces rumour to some extent, and you're also updated as a bonus.Hike has 2-way voice and video calls, both of the features available on WhatsApp.Hike has conference call upto 100 people, a feature missing from WhatsApp.128-bit SSL security, selective hiding, etc. Better on privacy than WhatsApp.Hike allows you to hide chats, not something on WhatsApp.WhatsApp recently updated their privacy policy to hand out raw data like phone numbers, location, etc. to Facebook. BsignNow!Hike has an AI assistant called Natasha. You can chat with her like she is a human. WhatsApp doesn't have any assistant. You can use the assistant to get some facts, search Wikipedia, get jokes, get weather update, movie timings, search mobile number like Truecaller.Hike also has Truecaller like thing that pops up when unknown number is calling. Not something on WhatsApp.Hike allows you to chat and share files without internet! Whatsapp requires that damn data.Hike has coupons! Get discounts! Not on WhatsApp.Free SMS if someone is offline or not on hike. They make you April fool.GIF suggestions along with stickers.Hike has stories, by which you can share your moments with anyone.Hike has filters for photos. Try them!Hike allows groups to have 1000 members, definitely huge than WhatsApp.Hike has games, jokes (6–9 photos daily), thoughts, cricket scores, which aren't available on WhatsApp.Their support is quick. They chat with you using hike! And much more.Edit (thanks to upvoter)…Polls, split bills, wallet, recharge, UPI, blue packets and many new features have been introduced in newer versions. In short, it is an all-in-one app!

What are the most common methods of gathering customer input during various stages of software product development?
Here is a model I find interesting, especially when your customers (who serve clients) are internal which is mostly my situation. 1. Concept stage Usually its the "customer" that comes to us with a problem, issue or opportunity. It really is easy to jump into solving it the wrong way. We have started to look hard at validating the "problem" by asking the customer what success would look like, and take a view on $ value, brand impact, the cost of doing it and what we as Product Managers think based on industry insights, competition and our own road maps. At this point the customer feedback is whether we should continue or not, and in one years time, will what they said today hold up. Its a cliche, but finding something to say no to is really the result of brainstorming. 2. User Exp. and DesignNow I go away and do some concepts, and get some designs made up. Any key user exp. use cases are identified and these are handed to the customer to review. I might have got something inaccurate, or some new business rules (or usually gaps) are identified. We iterate. The feedback is whether the idea still sounds good, and direction for both parties is defined. Personally, I like to have a PPT to communicate what we are building. At this point, as we have something a bit more concrete and tangible, I like to open this up to more then just the customer to give feedback on. It could impact different departments or experts within the company. It might even be the wrong idea, and my concept of customer changes to stakeholder. I like to give a deadline and post deadline collate all feedback together (into an email) and send out so everyone can see everyone else's feedback. Its nice to be transparent. 3. EngKeep them informed of decisions that need to be made during the eng phase, with regular demos. I think the ability to demo, and then give the customer QA URLS is invaluable. Sometimes its best they play around on their own without being under pressure. Some books say inviting the customer to the daily scrums might be a good idea. I disagree, its usually down to your relationship with the customer in question, but inviting them really does help build trust and if they come, they do start to appreciate the eng process. 4. Sign offNew reqs. or change requests are evaluated and either added or de-scoped and the customer is given a chance to sign off. so to summarize, from all of the various feedback mechanisms it all goes down to realistic choices. Email, face to face, phone, using a PPT, design, URLS etc as a central focus seems to work. Time means some aspects cant be done as much as one would like (especially if you need to go to market ASAP) and sometimes too much feedback can leave to analysis paralysis.
