After getting my ass kicked by a drunk driver, what is a really bad ass e-commerce question that I should spend the next day or
What are fashion brands' biggest pain points today? I leave this wide open. Take whatever angle you want and feel free to break it down by functional area. To what degree is 'a good edit' enough in ecommerce? Nastygal and ModCloth are two examples that have done well because they have developed a clear point of view and curated a specific style for a specific demographic. This is what has driven their success . While they have some simple, nuanced additions to their online stores, it's pretty much just the curation that drives people to the store. Yet, with all of the new models emerging, it seems consumers are expecting more than just curation and looking for 'curation plus discount', 'curation plus content plus discount' , 'curation plus subscription', 'curation plus N factors'. What are interesting new ways to blend commerce and content? Business of Fashion just wrote this article on rap video meets ecommerce. There is a HUGE untapped territory leveraging content including video , text, imagery, etc... where it's a blended experience. What are some potential interesting permutations of this? What are trends in manufacturing ? With increasing costs in China, desires for Just-In-Time manufacturing to an extreme, campaigns around increasing US manufacturing , 3D manufacturing , etc... how will manufacturing evolve and what are the challenges associated with these shifts both on a macro and micro level. There seems to be a shift from people going to department stores when they want to find something specifically, similar to Amazon in the online context. However, people tend to frequent vertically integrated stores like J. Crew, Banana Republic, Zara/H&M/Forever 21, etc... when they want to browse and discover. Also, people go to J. Crew because they have trust with the brand but also enough to discover. Though, a lot of the ones I mention also have a lot of physical stores and thus could be successful due to convenience as one factor. Yet, the latter does not seem to have an online-only comparison that's really taken off. To what degree do you think this offline behavioral shift will translate online? Or in another way of saying, will we see more online-only vertically integrated models (e.g. J. Crew) become successful and commonplace online? What are the challenges or differences with this shift online? How can one effectively build a brand online? (follow up to previous) I know you wrote something previously on Brand Psychology, so as a following, how can a brand be build online (e.g. Bonobos, Warby Parker, Everlane, etc...) How large and sustainable is subscription ecommerce? Obviously, you have a connection to Manpacks , and then JustFab today said they will be doing $100M in revenues by end of 2012. However, how sustainable is this given it is extremely challenging to maintain share of the consumer's wallet consistently and delight a customer every month. Which categories will be able to scale and achieve these levels better than others? Also, Shoedazzle's refocus might be a telling data point, so what do you think of that shift? If you want to start manufacturing a good, what is the best way to get started? I've had this conversation with a lot of people, and it is a cagey world with limited resources . I've been helping some folk but have limited actual experience in different component from concept to sample to batch production onward. So, what are different recipes and resources for early stage brand manufacturers : how to do production, how/where to qualify a manufacturer , quality control, etc... I can ask more questions if you like... I have an endless list , and with every answer brings up new questions. If you don't like any or need clarification, please lmk! If you want to answer one of them, I'll go ahead and ask it.Oh, and I have opinions on all of them, so curious to hear your perspectives. Thus, if you write something on one of the aforementioned, it'll hopefully incite me to actually do some more writing (or rap/jam --as you like to call it--with you one of these topics)...

When I quit my job, should I sign the exit paperwork they present to me? One of them states I cannot help anyone at the company
That is a non-compete agreement, and it is up to you to sign it. Often, non-compete agreements are signed in lieu of a compensation, so I would doubt they would ask you to sign it without paying you something. Now, even when they put a token of appreciation along with the request to sign that NCA, it’s totally up to you, and there is no way they will be able to force you to sign it**. I didn’t sign anything like that upon quitting my first job in the US. I didn’t want to sign that paper, even where signing it came with that token of appreciation.** some companies are nowadays caught in that over and over, and as a result they modify the language of the contract (that you have to sign when you start your job) to include the NCA language. Check your contract carefully, and you might want to talk to a lawyer before signing it, since also signing an NCA should be separate from commencing a job.

What is the most important thing in life that everyone must do?
Since there is no particular age limit mentioned, I think following should be the bucket list for a life span of 70 years or for any age.Learn to ride a bicycle before the age of 10. You can comfortably ride a two-wheeler in later stages of life. It will avoid being dependent on someone else.Develop a hobby to keep your brain and body healthy before the age of 20. For a fit body learning any sort of sport would do. It might be swimming, running, badminton etc. Not only this will help your body stay fit it will also develop the spirit of winning and acceptance of failures. To keep your brain healthy learn something to meditate upon. It might include yoga, musical instruments etc. This will be important to give you peace so as to deal with the tremendous pressure you are going to face.Live in hostel, away from home for atleast an year before 25.This will teach you a lot from cooking to managing money to laundry to observation skills too. This will help you discovering your true self. You will know who are the right kind of people.Read. Now this does not necessarily mean to read novels or books. It's just reading anything from fiction to non fiction to articles to essays to debates. This will help your mind expand. Make yourself a learned person. The best part is that it is not age associated . Do it now and always.Love. Experience true love once in your life, without worrying for return. The other person need not reciprocate, which is gonna hurt. love is something worth experiencing in this world. If the other person loves you, consider yourself lucky. And if not you will cherish the feeling for a long time to come.Start earning before 30. However small the amount may be. However tough the job may be. You will start respecting money and understand material values. Also this is gonna boost your confidence.Spend time with your family everyday whatever age you might be in. I would also like to add that the above point is not a to-do thing. But we get so busy with everything else that we forget why are we doing that everything else in the first place. Family means parents, partner and children. Give them time even if it takes to own a small flat smaller bed smaller car. Coz they aren't going to be with you for all the time when you are roaming on this planet.Travel. Even this is irrespective of age. In earlier stages travel alone. Then in later stages travel with family. You will explore cultures, human values, beauty of nature. Trust me ,you will be thankful to life. And also it will help in the much needed break you will be looking for.Experience joy of giving. Now this does not necessarily Mean to be connected to a NGO. It can include from owning a pet to adopting a child to spending a weekend at the nearby old age home to helping the needy anonymously. Giving does not mean giving money. It can also be about your time, about your love, about your respect. This will make you smile a little more. Then at last die. Yes death is inevitable. So please do die peacefully and Live a life of no regrets. Don't turn out to be a zombie or a Dracula.I would like to end this answer withSource :Google.Thankyou. :)

As a doctor, what is the most unusual way a patient has thanked you for taking care of them?
I treated a young physician who had a very severe cancer that had been misdiagnosed and delayed for more than a year. She’d been told —and she wanted to believe — that a mass she’d found was infection and later inflammation but it grew by the month. I was initially asked to see her in the emergency room when it had gotten very large and painful. It was obvious to me that she had cancer. It took a week for the tests to be completed before we knew the severity of her cancer. I didn’t think it would be curable and neither did she.She was a very determined mother of 3 young kids and she went through the chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. This was in the days that chemotherapy was much more difficult because we lacked the supporting medications we have now that minimize vomiting and infection. She spent several very tough days in the hospital with each cycle of treatment. She got through it all and achieved a remission. At the time of surgery, there were only dead cancer cells under the microscope. She then saw me every 3 months for 5 years and then every 4 months for another 5 years. Every time I saw her name on my schedule, I thought that this would be the visit I’d be giving her the bad news. I’d kind of steel myself as I looked at her labs and scan reports. But after 10 years, nothing. So we switched to yearly visits with the understanding that she’d see me earlier for new symptoms or problems. Each visit we’d spend time catching up with each other’s lives. About 15-plus years after diagnosis, it was pretty apparent that she’d beaten some very long odds and was fine. Her kids were either in college or graduated and launched.About then, on one of our yearly catch-ups, I’d just authored a book on breast cancer written for patients. She contacted the publisher and bought 10,000 books and donated them to breast cancer support groups throughout the country. That was an incredible thank-you and far from expected.Which scholarly publications (articles/book chapters/monographs) of yours are you most proud of, and why?

What was the craziest thing a mechanic said about your car?
When I first moved to Pullman, Washington for my postdoctoral position in 1992, I needed a car. I bought a 1981 two-door Chevy Chevette. I didn't know it at first, but according to my mechanic it had “Frankenstein’s Monster’s Revenge” under the hood instead of the stock motor. What’s ironic (in a good way) was that the engine ran remarkably well the entire time I owned the Chevette (3 years—gave it to someone while it was still running perfectly when I got a new car).I was referred by a relative to a mechanic who lived in the tiny town of Albion, WA, and brought in the car to have its radiator repaired due to a leak.He opened the hood and stared with this dumbfounded look on his face.Mechanic: “What the heck is this?”I went over and saw he was staring at the engine with a definite astonished and confused look on his face. His eyes looked like they were almost bugging out of his head.“I’ve never seen anything like it in my entire career.”Me “What’s the problem with the car? It seems to run perfectly fine except for the radiator leak.”Mechanic: “That's just it, you shouldn't have been able start it much less drive it. Somebody's managed to do the impossible.” He was really fascinated and examined some resin-like material between the head and block of the engine.“It runs very nicely. Why should it be impossible for it to work?” I was wondering if he was pulling my leg, but he was quite fascinated and couldn't stop staring at the engine. I have to admit I was suddenly quite worried about it myself because it all of a sudden looked ‘wrong’ to me as it sunk in that the head didn’t seem aligned with the block correctly due to displaced bolt holes, etc.“Who’d you buy this from? Dr. Frankenstein?” His eyebrows were knit in confusion. “Could you start the car? I want to see this so I can believe what I'm seeing here.”I got in the car, put in the clutch and started it.“Damn! It's really running, and sounds perfectly normal. I'm amazed, and now I've seen it all.” He actually slapped his forehead, knocking his hat off onto the floor behind him and didn't even try to pick it up. I got it for him later.I got out of the idling car and joined him. “What's so amazing about the car?”“Here's the thing. You have only the bottom half of the engine of a 1981 Chevette, the block. See all of these empty bolt holes and overlapping and underlapping metal where the head is attached? How there's supposed to be a lot more bolts holding the head to the block and a gasket between them, but only two have any bolts? And how this resin you see instead of a head gasket, that has to be some sort of high temperature polymer adhesive?” He pointed to each item as he mentioned it, sticking his pencil into an unoccupied bolt hole with nothing but air below it to emphasize how peculiar the configuration was. I was getting more nervous by the second, wondering if I were driving a ticking timebomb with a motor that could explosively fly apart any time.“I still don't see the problem?” I could see how the head and block didn't quite match, but the engine seemed perfectly fine to me, not even oily from any leaks—at least not yet.“Somebody actually glued the head from either a 1979 or 1980 (some totally different kind of car) to the block of your ’81 Chevette. Aside from being 4-cylinder with what must have been the same bore size, this head is from a different type of engine, with different bolt patterns and overall shape. Managed to perfectly align the cylinders somehow. Definitely Dr. Frankenstein’s work here.”*********************************************************************************************EDIT: I was informed that the engines were virtually the same between 1979 through 1981 for Chevettes . The head was obviously quite different, and the 1979 or 1980 head he was talking about could have been for another model or even make such as Pontiac, or something way out there like a small Ford. All I know is the mechanic was astonished the engine ran and the head was so different than the block the only way to secure it was with the glue because the bolt holes were so differently positioned and trying to fit a normal head gasket would have been impossible. I thought about it and corrected what he said as I remembered a little bit moreMy memory is 24 years old here, so a few details might be off. The Dr. Frankenstein comments were as I remembered them—as was the nickname he gave the vivisectioned engine.*********************************************************************************************“What sort of engine do I have now? Will it work for the long term?” I was terrified I’d have to replace the engine soon, and might possibly not even be able to drive it home.“Sounds great, so it will probably run perfectly fine for years, but as for the kind of motor you now have, I guess I'd have to call it the Frankenstein’s Monster’s Revenge engine.”After this and a bunch of other assurances that the adhesive and configuration were stable, I felt confident enough to drive it home to my place when he finished fixing the radiator and I paid him.He offered to take $25 per hour as long as I kept bringing the car back for him to work on—just so he could see the engine again. He actually thanked me each time I brought the car in from then on.There was one time the engine gave me trouble. When driving home from Seattle to Pullman after a professor interview trip to New Jersey, summer of 1993 on I-90, in the middle of nowhere, the timing belt and several other parts literally fell off the engine while I coasted about a mile after the engine abruptly lost all power. I had it towed to and fixed in Moses Lake. Mechanics at the Chevy dealership seemed blasé about the engine—never asked to speak to me directly—got the timing belt and pulley system replaced, and sent me on my way very quickly. How So quickly? One of my mother’s friends who just happened to live there and recognized me, knew the head shop mechanic and helped me get on my way the next day—otherwise it would have been a three or more days wait. Very few troubles after that.About a year after I moved away first to California (replaced my exhaust system while living there, and after the guys got a good look at my engine {same amazed looks as my Albion mechanic} they gave me a chrome exhaust system for free—I really felt odd at first driving an ordinary Chevette with silvery exhaust system hardware, but I liked it and the car ran really quietly from then on), then southern Idaho for my professor job, I decided to drive 450 miles north from Twin Falls, Idaho to visit some relatives in Clarkeston, WA and a different friend in Albion in addition to the mechanic.I needed an oil change and something else a bit more important repaired (sorry, I forgot what it was) and stopped by the shop. My old mechanic was so happy to see the car again with Frankenstein’s Monster’s Revenge, the vivisectioned hybrid engine, I only had to pay for the oil and oil filter. We also had a good laugh together when he saw all of the new chrome hardware from the exhaust manifold to the tailpipe, especially the absurd mirror-bright polished muffler.I put about 15,000 miles on the Chevette with its bizarre engine before giving it to someone in my church who needed a car. This same man drove it to and from California several times as he moved his stuff out of Twin Falls.EDIT: after reading the other answers to this question and seeing how many mechanics or ‘technicians’ were dishonest slimeballs or totally clueless, I'm pleased to say that my Albion mechanic (I think his name was Dave—maybe) was both competent and honest. Thanks everyone for the upvotes. What my Albion mechanic decided to name my Chevette engine was the craziest thing a mechanic has ever said to me.

What makes you calm down when you are angry?
It is a very natural thing to be angry about something or angry at someone if all hell breaks loose. The anger is also one of the redeeming emotions that we need to express to be calm again. Thus, expressing my anger helps in making me feel calm and composed. As far as I am concerned, there are some ways that lead to anger. Similarly there are ways that nullify anger within few minutes. It depends on the seriousness of the situation which gravitates you towards one of the modes to express your anger.I find writing down my thoughts a therapeutic process which makes me calm down. Especially when I am unable to express it verbally or there is no empathatic person in my surroundings to listen. Though many people don't choose this way as everyone has several options and tendencies according to their will.If the anger has erupted because of an individual I try to avoid the situation when I know there is no sense in uttering a single word. But if a person who is very close to you does something which makes me angry I prefer sorting out the matter by keeping my stand if it is needed. Or if it is something unruly I did then asking for the forgiveness makes me feel calm.

What's an unforgettable statement that your boss told you?
In my farewell, my Project Manager cursed me "For your attitude, you can't get a job again".I joined in a Dubai based company where we've to work on Sundays with Fri,Sat week offs. Our team has a Project Manager, a Team leader and 7 fellow mates. I joined on May 2012. Team leader (TL) is from my neighbor district where he was friendly to me whom I called as brother. Then joined my Project Manager (PM) after few months of my joining. With his behavior, all our colleagues including other team heads, find he is insane and people won't mind him much. He used to wave his fingers on air and talk alone sitting in his cabin. We find humor out of him where its his real behavior we assumed by his activities.I strongly say, he has gender discrimination. I'm a Christian where I require holidays for Easter Sundays, alternative Sundays (with Sat,Sun offs) on rotational shift to visit my family. I'll ask him leave. He says "I will think and say" till last minute of last working day of the weekend he makes me to beg for leave. I was very patient. I was to leave my native thru 11 PM train where he called me around 8 PM & compelled me to work next day for Diwali instead of Hindu guys as they went for leave. I nodded patiently & worked on Diwali holidays. I asked for the comp-off. He cheated me, "Its not applicable. When you get leave for Christmas, Hindus will work, they too won't get comp-off for that". I remained silent where my TL insisted me to report MD on his behavior. For Christmas leave, I informed him for leave on 24,25,26 Dec by working the weekends (22&23Dec). He agreed to give. On 23rd evening, he said, due to pending works (though not urgent), I have to work on 24th. I burst out at this point. A cold argument between him & me. He said "You are talking to your PM. Mind it. I can do anything to fire you" & ordered me to come on 24th. I again don't want to create a big issue and came on 24th. Everyday I used to leave office by 7 itself where on that day, he purposely made me to work till 8.30 PM. I was furious and said him, I’ve to catch 11 PM train tonight (From Tambaram which is 1 hr far from my hostel) & after Christmas I'll resume the task as its not urgent task. He giggled stupidly and said okay leave. I signNowed morning by 7.30 to my home on Christmas day where I lost the joy of attending Christmas night mass. I was crying to my mom on his behavior. As my grandpa was in deathbed, my family decided to get me married by Nov 2013. In boy's home, they asked me to resign and stay with him, then find a job in the same place. As a sign of respect towards their words, I nodded and wrote resignation letter to boss (MD) on 02/Aug/2013 (1.5 yrs of tenure).Boss (2nd MD of the company) called me to his room and spoke very harshly saying "We invested on you, we trained you, but you are resigning in very short span. Do you feel your life can be run with single salary of your husband alone? Why can't you stay in this job and visit your family every week?"But then I got a strong feel that "He is nobody to decide my life & plans. Though its not recommendable to leave a company in short span, girls are exception towards their marriage which is unavoidable in a girl's life which he failed to realize". So I delivered a bold "NO, I want to leave". He yelled at me and was dragging me now and then without saying me proper last working day.Somehow struggled and signNowed the last working day. My PM sent a mail to all my team mates to join in conference room for my farewell. All my same peer said my plus and minus in my tenure. I wholeheartedly accepted their views where 90% were the positive feedback. They gifted me Sonata wrist watch and a Silk Saree as my wedding gift, we posed for our last team photo. After the photo session with lots of mixed feelings, when was to leave the room, the cruel PM paused "1 minute Fabiola.."He : I didn't say my views about you.. So........... you are going to stay in your native right?I : Yeah Sir.He : Then what about your job there?I : I'll find another job there. He : Are you sure you get a job there?I : Of-course.He : There in your place, you can only get lecturer jobs.. not into IT.I : There are few companies. He: I don't know if you can fit at least as a lecturer for your attitude, then how could into IT?I : (Was totally shattered, insulted before my colleagues & whispered with crying voice) I know, I can, I will.He : (Giggled scornfully) Lets see!I rushed out with bursting tears. I couldn't digest his words. My teammates convinced me, "You are capable. He is insane dear"What else I can say? In less than 1 month of my marriage, I found a job in my place. Right now, typing this sitting in my cabin holding the position “4 years experienced Quality Associate Engineer”.Success is the best revenge!Fabiola Infanta .

Trump Jr. also sent the email after news broke that former acting Attorney General Sally Yates had alerted the White House that Flynn might have lied about discussing sanctions with then-Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
The White House, which initially said that Trump didn't know any details about Flynn until he learned about it later — then said that the president only found out about them through media reports — has faced questions about why Trump's son was seeking to establish communications with the Russian government in the first place.
In a series of tweets, Trump Jr. denied that he and others had received the emails, and called the Times story "a COMPLETE and TOTAL FABRICATION" of his meeting. He said the Times' "fictional account" was "100% made up."
