it's Thursday December 29th 2022. markets closed a few hours ago Dow Jones up 345 points today NASDAQ up 265 a miraculous turnaround from yesterday what caused it was it quite possibly the jobless claim numbers that we got today which came in 9 000 uh higher than the week prior and is this uh now um the re the results that the FED wanted getting the unemployment numbers up slowing the economy down these results this is what the FED wanted is this good for the markets is this what the market wants is this the bad news the slowing economy and now more jobless claims the bad news is always seems to be good for these markets so is that what caused the markets to go up today more bad news I don't know comment down below let me know your thoughts on that but whatever caused it whatever the reasoning behind it one thing is for sure things in this country are completely broken if you look at the medicine shelves at your local Walgreens or Rite Aids your pharmacies completely wiped out we cannot get medicine flu medicine for our children it's completely wiped out if you can get it you can only get a limited amount much much of the ingredients made in other countries so we are so dependent continuing to be dependent on other countries even for simple flu medicine when your kid's sick you need it it's very very important but we don't have the ingredients we don't we don't make this stuff here we depend on other countries again another example of how broken we are over the over the holidays we had over 12 000 flights canceled today Southwest Airlines canceled an additional 2300 flights didn't we give these these Airlines multiple bailouts for tens of billions of dollars and yet we cannot even get airplanes to take off the ground in our country we cannot even get medicine for our children we can't get flu medicine on the shelves uh it's incredible how broken things are in this country in such disarray it's shocking how in the world are we ever gonna get things fixed here I really don't know let's talk about the second largest Investment Bank Goldman Sachs layoffs coming in January now if you remember back in September Goldman Sachs laid off around 500 employees they're talking about 4 000 job cuts in January CEO David Solomon says he was considering cutting bonuses by 40 for 3 000 investment bankers mark it up today markets up today with 4 000 layoffs coming no medicine on the shelves thousands of flights canceled markets up today how about this one Amazon lost half of its value this year as tech stocks got crushed and recession fears grew uh Amazon stock has punched 51 this year losing billions of dollars in market cap Tesla even though it was up today down 69 year-to-date matted down 64 year today mortgage...
