hello and welcome to the video tutorial presenting open payments applicable manufacturers and applicable GPOs 2014 program year registration data submission and attestation the agenda for this session is as follows first we'll discuss the target audience and learning objectives for this tutorial then we'll provide a brief program and system overview next we'll discuss registration for applicable manufacturers and applicable GPOs hereafter referred to as reporting entities and how reporting entities complete the recertification process in the open payment system then we'll discuss how to submit data to the open payment system correct validation errors through data resubmissions and complete final submission and attestation we'll conclude by discussing available resources and the next steps you can take the target audience for this session is individuals and reporting entities who must submit data to the open payment system to comply with regulatory and reporting requirements the learning objective of the session is to provide high-level instructions on how to register submit and attest to data for the 2014 program year this is considered the 2014 program year because data that is being reported was collected from January 1st 2014 through December 31st 2014 we'll begin with a brief overview of the open payments program and system here is a high-level diagram of the general process flow for open payments the specific timeline for program year 2014 will be discussed in a later slide the process begins with data collection where reporting entities collect payment data for a program year which runs from January 1st to December 31st next comes the data submission period where the reporting entities submit their data for the program year to the open payment system after submission comes the review dispute and correction period when physicians and teaching hospitals review and if necessary dispute submitted data reporting entities then can correct the data to resolve any disputes during this time as well finally the data for that program year is published for public viewing in accordance with the publication guidelines here are the timelines for the 2013 and 2014 program years data collection for program year 2013 took place between August 1st and December 31st 2013 data submission for this program year took place between June 1st and July 7th 2014 the review and dispute period took place between July 14th and September 11th 2014 at it's made to payment records during this time were published in the September 30th public posting edits made to records by October 31st 2014 as a result of additional review and dispute activities were published in a refresh of the data in December 2014 data collection for program year 2014 took place between January 1st and December 31st 2014 data submission for this program year begins in February 2015 and runs through the end of March 2015 the review and dispute period will begin after the submission period ends and will extend for at least 45 days 2014 program year data will be published on June 30th 2015 now we'll...
