I sure you don't want to put this in the bedroom anyway so we're getting ready to do the drywall in the new building so we're gonna go get some drywall and I'm gonna get to go do all that and fun drywalling don't you look so happy about drywalling yeah yeah no but the other thing is we're in the garage and we get to hang today I'm hoping to Hanks I've had this for a little while a new thing for the decor it's gonna go up there I've had that hook up there for 20 years so I never took it down and lo and behold I found a reason not to take it down and it is in this box as you may see some of you may already recognize this is a giant Dungeons & Dragons beholder that I got and it's down in there deep down there yeah so it's somewhat complicated to hang it's got two eyelets on the top of them one two thirds down the side and I'm probably one at the bottom but we're not on the bottom we're just getting to the top two and hang it kind of at an angle so that points at the door when you walk in it'll be pretty sweet and so yeah mom's gonna be freaked out in the middle of the night when she doesn't get used to this so it's gonna go let me show you it's gonna look it's gonna here's the door you're gonna come in and it's gonna be like right there looking at you so you're gonna go what and it's gonna be like right there and it's really big it's like really big this is big in that box so it's gonna be like before so remember this bra and that's where it's gonna be so we have to get some cables because it's they recommend 50 75 pound cables to hang it so it doesn't fall it can be quite big or I'm sorry it's quite heavy and awkward as you would expect to be holder to be actually a quite light anyway that's nerd talk so this room so we're gonna measure the eyelets because nobody online seems to talk about this on how you actually hang these things at least I couldn't find a video or anything so we're gonna take it out of the box we're gonna measure the eyelet then we go to Home Depot and get the metal hooks and the metal cables and all that let some drywall and measure it hang it cut it go so let's look at that so you gotta take this guide box thing out which is really quite peculiar I looked at this before it's really strange packing material it's like a it's like they reversed the two towers or it's a walker beast of some kind it's oh sweet think of that that's good yeah mom's not a nerd you know you're not even close that is not a transformer no no but more importantly what's in the box is a guy I stock and then that I stock down there is the gold in this so I'm gonna reach in there I'm gonna have this over your mom I would want it to be too easy [Music] we're gonna look at that like an unboxing video and a hanging video all-in-one golden that's right there so here's the eyelet eyelet it's specifically designed to have it hold wait so there's number one here is you have to be at the bottom oh oh yes okay so around this this eye coming out and then there's one behind it's not a 2/3 away down one there and one here now in there okay okay so we're gonna hang from both those and this one will be a little torque a little shorter place down at you but this is the golden see your new buddy my buddy my buddy I think that's all the the amount of seconds we can sing in that side of that church with your beholder okay so we're gonna measure this we're gonna start with ten guys we're gonna do the inches here I'm trying to measure the diameter of the eyelet which is incredibly difficult that looks like yeah there we go right there and I would guess that's probably a little bit more than four inch the hole is a little bit more than courage but the plastic around it is probably that's an eighth of an inch an inch the diameter that's probably even if I had to guess that what would you say that it's probably quarter-inch too so it's quarter inch hole quarter inch thickness of the plastic and an eighth of the inch wide well we're back that was an awful trip it was like hell's and it was like going too deep in the bowels of water deep it was awful it was so awful but we got all these parts and the reason we got all these parts is because we don't know exactly what's going to work so the end will point out which one of these parts has been the chosen ones we've got a big spool of galvanized galvanized coated one-sixteenth cable can hold 96 pounds on this guy's not 96 pounds so but we're going to start hanging out up there we'll see how it goes but like I said once we get done we'll take some pictures as we're doing it but once we get done we'll show you all the parts that we use again the goal is to hang a hook off this front I and there's another one behind this I stock and we're gonna hang those too but the short back one will be shorter so he'll be kind of at an angle like that so when you walk in the door he can shoot you with your anti magic beam and then just I have death because she's got black magic you don't want any of that so we're gonna try this up and then we'll show you how it worked okay so what we got here is I got that little black carabiner that's really neat to be designed for these cables and then I got a hoop then we got one of these things which is what he's called they're really cool because you don't do the hammering or squeezing they just screw on actually quite slick I'm hoping they come through in the camera they look like they are but those are pretty cool and then you got like I said little black carabiners so if we put the thumb back here yeah let's put that on a on the eyelet okay and there's no about the other cable and then we said he made the back one shorter does it haven't made that loop up here so that he tilts down and looks at you as you come in right you didn't go up there and they're both gonna hook on that things I'm hoping this works because the back one will be shorter once we hook this like this and therefore you'll be looking down that's the intent and you have to clear the eyeball so we had to plan for clearing the eye stalks they didn't want these big metal clamps as cool as they are I did not want them to be like right in front of that eyeball so I think this is good we can get here alright so I put this other clamp on on this end I'm gonna hang it up there so that was difficult because once you get these nice cable things like this that we were that I'm really excited about getting them in the right height for the both cables so that he leaning down which you are looking down I chose really tricky mom is very frustrated by nobody yeah but it it worked and then I wrapped him in electrical tape so it's all black the two bonus is there it's all black and then it won't skew the the cable even though it's coated I didn't want it to scratch anything or brush up against anything so you get 2 bonuses of electrical tape it's black so it's harder to see and to no scratches so we're about ready to hang it so we're gonna take the eyeball covers off and then hang it up and then we'll see it in all its glory mamas can barely contain ourselves right you're just barely hanging on I know yeah you're barely you're barely hanging on show you the one who put this in the bedroom anyway so but we're gonna hang this thing up and then you will see the magic I hope this video helped people what we used was the these things right here on your string we use these things here so we use the coated spring link with eyelet quarter-inch 100 pounds which this thing in a hundred pounds now the other thing we used to basically make the loops in the cable was the 3/16 inch flesh type cable clamp which those were pretty select by coming to peck at the Depot of hell so we're gonna hang it but I hope these tips help you it was actually pretty easy once we did a lot of walking through the aisles and figuring out how it worked and the hardest part is try to get these cables to even up so that the backbone pushes his head down that was actually I think the hardest part aside from going to hell Depot but it was pretty would you agree was that the hardest part no no no getting the cables right Jesus uncovering his eyestalks you know that the biggest thing if you don't feel comfortable commenting which I don't blame you YouTube is that way send me a tweet or comment what do you want to name it because I don't have any names I haven't got any thought and don't tell me Fred can I ain't gonna happen but give me some ideas for some names for the beholder galore and do you have any ideas what no already you're out no you don't get to choose now no all right no we're gonna hang it now stop talking stop talking stop all right well that looks pretty good I gotta say that looks pretty scary coming in the game room now is a serious serious thing man that's some serious action don't you think you're afraid I know right it's it's it's my it's my it's my familiar it's my familiar oh she may have just taken everyone's name call him a grudge Guardian but he needs us like a real name no one knows except the internet like something better than Bob you look so good you look so good it was a good beholder yeah you are mmm I'm gonna dress schmuck for Christmas now I'm gonna dress for Halloween and Easter yeah no he doesn't is that a pirate beholder oh it's really hard for you guys to get the full perspective because we're down here and he starts the bottom of his starts at my top of my head it's like there's my eye level this is eye level for us right high level so right now we're underneath him see what happens that's what happens so it's like you can still game underneath it's like hey man you suck at space for us yeah you suck but then you look up and you're like okay you don't suck you know you're a good you're good yeah yeah I'm totally nerding out right now I'm totally nerding out I should probably stop the frame because it's full of myself the garage Guardium so good he's got a lot to guard a lot to guard no paints are New York's it's too bloody cold all right well thank you for help yeah and so for those of you that got one of these at Christmas and you're like what the heck how do I hang this thing hope that helps I couldn't find a single person to talk about how to hang it or show at least I'd hang it there's nice instructions but really doesn't say much this is mounted on a bookshelf No so hope this is helpful shoot me a question if you have any but it was actually kind of useful just getting those cables right like that was the hard part so good luck with the Yerba holder you can't have mine [Music] you
