[Music] everybody it is Travis here with another paid memberships Pro guided video and today I want to actually run through one of our add-ons which allows you to set up a mini checkout page if you will basically anywhere on your site so the add-on that I'm working with today is called the p.m. Pro signup shortcut add-on and it basically as I said allows you to create a signup page or a checkout page anywhere on your site and this is great for a multitude of reasons it basically can create a call to action that you can drop in on different posts or pages in the middle of them even if you want and it encourages people to sign up but what we found is very useful for this add-on is when you have a free membership level and you just want people to sign up quickly and if of lee you can use this shortcode to do that so over here I have my local dev environment and I've got a blog post that I've just basically duplicated from our main site so what I want to do with this post is I want to leave a bit of a snippet so people can get an idea whether they are a member or not of what the post is about and then probably from about here downwards I want to actually restrict the posts to be available for only free members and then I'm gonna add the signup shortcode so that people can actually register for it and view the post nice and easily so before I begin let me just show you what I have done so if I go to my dashboard you'll notice under that I've already got paid memberships Pro installed and activated also have my level set up so I'll just show you that really quickly so I've got a free level and a pro level so I want people to sign up to my free level in order to read that blog post now as a PM pro plus or unlimited member what you can do is before you get going you want to go ahead and go to the add-on section of under the membership tab and you actually want to look for the paid memberships Pro let me just go down to it signup shortcode add-on and you can see it's available for plus members and above you can just go ahead and install and activate that and then you're ready to go so if I go let's get going on the post editing so I'm gonna use this one how to name your membership level or subscription options and I'm gonna go edit great and now from here as you can see I already have p.m. Pro installed so I can just go ahead and click whichever level I want but I want a little bit more control of how this post looks and feels so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna add some short codes to it and so this is my introduction I want to leave that alone and over here let's make a extra space I'm gonna enter some square brackets and I'm gonna type in membership level equals one so my number one membership level as I've shown you here already this is for my free members and then what I can do is I can scroll down because I want all of this to be hidden unless they are a free member and I just want to go ahead and close off my shortcode whoops membership great I'm gonna update that post and let's go ahead and view it real quick after it's saved and there you have it as you can see my introduction is available and the post is completely hidden now this is not great if you leave it as is and we want to make it clear that in order to view the rest of the post you must sign up for a free membership level so let's do that now let's go ahead edit the post and while that is learning I'm gonna go back to my sign up shortcode add-on documentation and I'll just scroll down the page a little bit and I'll just copy this example to get us started so let's do that now great now this is loaded so I'm gonna scroll to the bottom of the page and underneath this membership closing shortcode I'm going to enter our p.m. Pro sign up submit button shortcode now it's not ready to go just yet but I'll just show you quickly what it looks like so long so I'll go ahead and update the post and as you can see right here at the bottom of the introduction we have a very quick unlock this post button now the reason why it's showing it to me like this is I'm already logged in as admin so I've already set up an account with an email address etc and if we log out which I'll show you in a moment you'll actually see certain fields that you'll have to input in order to access this post so let's go quickly and just edit this a tad just so we can make it a little bit more clear what that big yellow button is and how to use it so if I scroll down to the bottom of my page and here I've got my shortcode now I'm gonna add in some attributes to the shortcode and if you want any more information you just go back to the add-ons documentation and over here by the shortcode attribute section you can see all of the attributes that you can add or use in order to customize your check out as much as you want so let's go ahead I think I'm gonna add a intro to my shortcode and I'm also going to add a title so let's do that now at the end of this I'm just gonna say your title and I'm gonna say sign up for a free level now and for the intro just to make it a little bit more clear I'm going to say unlock this post by signing up for a so that should make things a little bit more clear let's go ahead and update our post and once that has loaded we can go ahead and view it and there we have it so now you can see we have our post we have the introduction and over here it's quite clear that sign up for a free membership level now unlock this post by signing up for a free membership level quick and easy now if I go ahead and unlock this post I will basically just have immediate access as a free member but what I want to do is I just want to log out and I just want to show you what it would be like as you can see I'm not logged in as as a person so if a visitor visits my site this is exactly what they would see they would view the introduction and then they would see a mini checker page or registration signup form right in the post and if I once I can go ahead and log in there so let's go ahead and sign up right away and see what happens okay and then I'll go ahead and click unlock this post now and I have full access to my post without even having to be redirected anyway so this particular add-on is extremely useful if you have free membership levels and you want people to sign up really quickly and really easily without redirecting them basically anyway great so I have logged out as Ana and I've logged back in into my admin accounts and I just want to show you very quickly how this works so as you can see we have the PM pro underscore sign up and the submit button attribute is attributed and then this is where we can actually write what we want on our button the label that it's targeting is level one and the level one that I have set under my membership levels is the free version and in the redirect you can actually choose where you want this to redirect to and because it's pointing to referrer it basically redirects back to the post once the check out has been completed so it doesn't take you anywhere else and you can change this up again as needed like for example here's the redirect this is optional and you can see exactly where you want them to be pointed to a custom URL your account page or back to the post which is referrer then as you saw I added a title and a data introduction and that's basically it and with it you have the power to craft a membership checkout or registration block and basically add it to anywhere in your site nice and easily and that's about it for me on this quick demo video everyone thank you very much for watching if you have any further questions on this or any other add-on please go ahead to our website and reach out to our support team and we'll be happy to help with that thank you and goodbye
