hello i hope you're well my name is vincent and today i'll be doing a walkthrough of inheritee safe haven's decentralized solution to digital inheritance before you can set up your first inheritance plan what you'll need to do is create a safe id account by going to id.safetec to log into your safe id account you'll be greeted by four potential inheritance plan options the one of which we'll focus on in this video is the family circle on the left side of the screen you'll notice your dashboard new plan plans already created beneficiaries and trust alliance network if you're choosing to work with a legal entity for the purpose of this video we're going to focus on the family circle inheritance plan and what that might look like when you're ready to create a plan for your future heirs before creating an inheritance plan it's important to know that each one of your benefactors will need to have a safe key as well as you'll need to have a thousand safe haven tokens in your comment wallet to initiate the plan the plan details screen allows you to create a plan name add a description for the plan as well as any other notes that can only be seen by the plan creator the next screen you'll be taken to is the beneficiary screen where you'll be able to select up to 10 benefactors who will be able to inherit your shares for this particular plan i'm going to choose three benefactors and i'm going to make it so that all three benefactors need to be present with their safe keys in order to unlock my shares i can also choose to add backup shares in case i think one of them may lose their safe keys however it's recommended that you use less backup shares because the more backup shares you have the less decentralized the plan becomes this screen also allows you to select the merge authority the person who is most integral in the inheritance plan as they are in charge of collecting and merging the shares to unlock the inheritable data in this example one of my benefactors is the merge authority but in a real inheritance plan you may consider using a legal entity as the merge authority as a non-biased third party the next screen is the activation method screen by which you can choose your preferred method of activating your inheritance plan after your passing upon activation beneficiaries will be able to merge shares and unlock your inheritable data there are two selections for activating your inheritance plan that's login activation by which you can log into your safe id or inheritee account to prove that you are still alive or email activation by which you can click a link to prove that you are still alive by a certain number of days if you fail to log in or click the link in the specified amount of time the deadman switch will then activate and it will unlock your shares the next screen you'll be taken to is the inheritable data screen where you'll be able to put in whatever data you wish for your benefactors to inherit such as private keys passwords etc after the inheritable data screen you'll be taken to a summary where you'll be able to see the name of the plan you've created the benefactors of that plan the number of shares needed to unlock that plan as well as the number of backup shares present and you'll also be able to check and verify that the data you've input into the inheritable data screen was correct after you verified that the data in your summary is accurate and you're happy with your plan the fun part begins you can use inheritee smart contracts as well as comment to encrypt your data and store it on each safe key the plan will tell you how much sha is necessary and how many safe keys that you need to save your plan and then it's just a matter of plugging the safe key in pressing the button while it blinks and waiting for the data to be written to each safe key after you've loaded the data onto each safe key plan will be successfully saved to the blockchain and you'll be able to go to my plans where you'll be able to see the contract address of the plan that you just created in this case number 21 is my most recently created plan you'll also be able to verify additional information at this screen such as your activation methods the share information that was hashed and the benefactors and which shares that they own as well as what backup shares will be present in the plan now i'll take you through an example of what it looks like after you log out and somebody tries to merge the shares while you're still alive this is what it might look like if one of my benefactors tried to initiate the inheritance plan while i was still alive they would insert their safe key into inheritee it would read the data off of the safe key and initiate the dead man validation switch which would then notify me that i either need to log into my account or click an email to ensure that the shares are not distributed and that i can prove that i'm still alive lucky for me i'm still alive this is what it would look like if i had actually passed away and was not able to validate my dead man switch in time my three benefactors would be able to come together and insert their safe keys into the platform to read the data and merge all of their shares together as a means of unlocking their inheritable data after each of the three safe keys are inserted into the computer and their shares are read by the platform they may merge the shares and retrieve the original data which you'll notice is the same exact information that i put into the inheritable data section a little earlier either way i hope you guys enjoyed this demonstration of inheritee and i hope that you will use it very well in the future i would also like to thank the safe haven foundation for allowing me to be the first beta tester to test the community edition of inheritee i love the ui i think that it's very smooth and easy to understand and overall this is a product that i recommend for every single person in the crypto space um not only for its ease of use but just the the design of the platform the genius of the idea behind all of it and um i just really am grateful to be a part of this community and this team who is working so hard to make the world a better place either way shout out to the moon guys thank you for listening and have a great day oh
