this class and I won't actually I'll just pass around the sign-in sheet since we're recording that way we don't have to go through all of that and I think we all probably pretty much know each other so um but we'll introduce ourselves just in case you're not familiar with us I am Casio Valero the sponsored programs trainer and Whitney is a Lisa bun so no microphone at least a poem proposal team she's so quiet certainly it's certainly okay so we're talking about the proposal budget development right and really focusing on using this wonderful template that that Alisa has prepared for all of us and we'll show you there are several templates but they're all based on the one we're going to work on with today is the single a single budget template template a yes and so we're gonna dive into that but the expectation so one I do want to point out that this class does not count for any staff development credit I know their husbands and questions about that in the past and most of our training sessions do not the only ones that do are the Cayuse related ones because they're very tight end to to the actual requirements for the certificate however and these are meant these proposal ones are really meant to be a supplement right they kind of dive deeper in to what we're doing we have a proposal budgeting basics and then we have this one as well and we're gonna work on one for cost proposal budgets as well which I'll need help with because I've never done that okay yeah be exciting so so I just want to point that out these are not for stuff on my credit but they're really meant to just kind of dive in deeper so in this class we do assume that you have some of the basics underway cuz we really just dive into the template so we don't cover a whole lot of basics what you should have for your handouts you should have a copy of today's presentation the I'm sorry the slides are a little small but there's really not a whole lot of content on them it's just if you want to take notes and then you should have the proposal budget entry exercise that's what we'll actually use the computers for a little bit later at least it's gonna walk you through completing a budget then you should also have these little budget formula cards that we've put together and are handing out in our classes now our budget classes and they're really these are the common formulas that you'll often need when you are preparing a proposal budget so it includes how to calculate indirect costs based on the different phases that you use as well as split rates which that's you know if you have to use multiple rates within one project year or project period one budget period and also...
