hey they're ashamed up here and in this video I'm gonna talk about my link building process the same process I used across all of my blogs in my blogging business and I'm just gonna give it to you okay and specifically I'm gonna use this blog right here bow ties wood suits as my case study example to show you exactly how I would promote this piece of content and get links to it right at the end of the day this is the same process I used to get links from partment therapy malaria comm many many big sites big publications that are really hard to get links from so I'm gonna show you all the details scripts map my outreach process my prospecting process all the little details stick with me but straightaway I just want to get into the four key pillars of this process right the first is linkable content second is prospects or prospecting and third is actually reaching out to that prospect and the fourth is closing and getting the links right so the first step in my process is creating a linkable content right now when you're when you're creating linkable content you have to understand that you're not when you're doing link building you're not people just give links for no reason right and a big thing I want to mention really quick too is I don't pay for links I generally do natural-organic whitehat outreach I'm trying to just promote content I've created that people might be interested in linking to if there's a scenario where I think that the link I would be getting is really strong and really relevant for my article right if I was to promote this say like like cuffs calm or like a hint like hank pym cuffs calm right are it like suits calm I was like yeah we'll post it but me an editorial fee of like 50 bucks you know to pay for the guy to post it right then that's okay right I'm not so against paying for links that I wouldn't do that but it's really important to understand that when I'm promoting I want to benefit the webmaster the people are emailing and promoting this content too so that they will link to me because they want to not because I'm forcing them to write and it's really important and it's really where everything begins is creating linkable content that people would want to link to right so for example bow ties with suits I created when I had this site right boat be the bow tie guy calm was my old bow tie site I've sold it since this is the new owner has this site but I created this piece of content this is actually me sitting here in a bow tie the suit actually recorded this video and all these things so this was a really greatly great piece of content because it was very actionable it was very specific to a need right there's not a lot of content or guides out there on bowtie suit style so I was filling a void in the niche right in men's fashion so is it created a good angle a good pitch for me to reach out to on behalf of the site right so like when I'm thinking about scripts right you got to think about okay what am I actually gonna say to other webmasters that would make them want to link to me right you got to think about scripts before you actually create the content because that scripts is where the script let you use do outreach is where your cut your your link building campaign is gonna live and die right so it's like why am i linking to you well I'm linking to you because I really like this guy on on bowtie suit style right I have an audience on bowtie suit style therefore I think they'll benefit therefore I'm linking to it that's why webmaster will link to this piece of content and that's why I created it right so you can see I went to a very very good detail about all the various styles so I knew this would do well if I just got eyeballs on it right so all I need to do now is link get links to it right so okay so now that I've have linkable content which is inside this article what can I do to get prospects right so a tool that I use is called scrape box right scrape box is how I prospect and create links for my site right so basically the tool I use is called scrape box and scrape box is really great for prospecting right finding lots and lots of people who might give you a link you don't know for sure but they might and now let me actually open this up so you can see the process I have here within this process this step is Virginie keywords to load up into scrape box then you need to scrape those keywords which I'll show you that need to cool the prospects so we're gonna get a whole bunch of prospects that are gonna be kind of like some are good some are bad so you need to really dial in what the best ones are then we need to add them to our outreach batch and then we have to have a URL reviewer or some kind of software add emails from those prospects and then we gotta reach out to them and that's when you the next step so let me dive into this real quick so the first thing right if I'm trying to promote this content I need to think okay how do I find people to reach out to right that would be interested in linking to me so there's a couple ways one very popular way that was kind of pioneered by back by brian dean at backlinko is the skyscraper right basically finding other people who have created content on bowties with suits and have links pointing to that site and then you just reach out to those people right I'm not gonna do that because generally you'll hit a wall very fast with that type of approach I do that a little bit but I do a better version of that I think it's a little bit more scalable let me show you so in this case a tool I'm going to use is called keyword share and you know it's funny name if you've never heard of it before basically what I'm gonna do is I'm going to take um this main phrase bow ties with suits and I'm just gonna put it in here and I'm gonna hit a few keywords so what's gonna do is it's gonna come up with all these various types of keywords and actually what I'm gonna do is make this a little bit more broad because I because you gotta think about the target audience that this piece of content would would work with is anybody who's talking about bow ties right so if any other website is talking about bow ties there would be an opportunity for me to reach out to them and be like hey I created hiccup content you're talking about bow ties over here I created a piece of content about bow ties with suits your audience might be interested so that's the angle I'm going to go with so in this case bow ties it's all I'm gonna do and I might do bow tie style cuz I don't want the word pasta and I don't want like stuff like that let's just see what this gives me back so this is okay yeah so this is working and I used the word style because I wanted this tool to pull in a suit related comp where I not words like related to pie bow ties there's actually a theater chain that is like a bow tie here Jake and there's also a bow tie pasta right so we don't want that that's unreal it's a relevant so this is gonna work I already have the list so let me show you this list looks like so if you come in here you'll see scrapebox and you'll see keywords and you'll see bowties it would suit text file so I've already created a a text file of all the keywords that came out of that tool right so what I'm gonna do is use this tool this this is list of keyword all this is is just that tool I'm not gonna wait for this to be finished so I'm Anna stop job but I would if I was doing this from scratch I would let it go as long as possible 125 keywords is fine you know it might go up to like 500 for some depending on how popular the keyword is but I have that list right here I'm gonna do is I'm gonna take all these right so ctrl a ctrl C and I'm gonna go into a scrape box and I'm just going to drop it and ctrl V into here you see there's 1,800 words and that's a good start I'm not gonna do all the words demonstration here it would take a long time but I'm just gonna do maybe the first let's do the first and we don't want dogs cats so we'll end up getting rid of a lot of these things babies is not good either so anyway actually you know what I'm just gonna go back to this list cuz the list I originally pulled you can see yeah this is always organic it's a little bit irrelevant for my tastes I think this was a better list because I didn't I used bowtie style so what I'm gonna do is grab this and I'm gonna drop it in here so now we're gonna 125 so they're easier to look good keywords so we got bowtie style styles trusts 1920 1920 1923 keywords that are related yes this is all fine bowtie club and Jellystone Park crossword evening wear styles outfit for guys so yeah I'm just gonna get rid of I'm just gonna keep everything right keep everything and we'll just go from here so I'm gonna do is I'm gonna start harvesting and you can see in here there's proxies in here I have 55 proxies loaded up this is not scrapebox tutorial video I can create in the future I'll do a a scrape box tutorial for link building but just for you know for knowledge right now what this is doing it basically creates more computers because Google doesn't want you to scrape them this is what's about to happen is I'm about to scrape Google for every single one of these keywords and returned URLs that are related to them right so and here this is like making sure that every time I ping Google it's from a different computer and this is important because Google doesn't want doesn't want to be scraped so we need to use different computers in order to not get banned and also you have seen here I'm returning first 200 results for these keywords anything over 200 your name really irrelevant results you don't want that if anything you probably reduce this is like 50 you'd still have a really solid list so we're gonna go do that so let's hit start harvesting and I'm gonna have Google and I'm just gonna do a couple keywords here I don't let this go through and I'll edit this out all right so that's good enough you can see how this is all working so again it's the the tool was scraping bowtie style styles trust 20 and then I would just keep going until finished so I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna close this seam all the words right here now you see there's a lot of stuff in here and we have 718 URLs already in this list that was only like three scrapes right so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go back to my link building process and kind of show you so we did the keywords you didn't scrape now we got a cold prospect so let's open this up first thing we do is d dupe because what's gonna happen is every time you scrape a keyword it's going to like bowtie style and bowtie styles are gonna usually result in the same Google search results right but the reason we target both keywords is because they're in my Beach there might be some people who are creating content where it would rank for this keyword but not that keyword but we want to try to get both right so we're gonna do is just D dupe this file so we already lost 200 URLs 200 prospects but this is important because we're really dialing in on the best keywords the best of URLs that could be give us links right at the end a day so now I'm going to remove flagged keywords so what this is I'm gonna remove URLs that contain inch and I'm gonna use I'm gonna go to your Ruby rows that contain entries from and I'm gonna hit remove URLs containing v1 so I'm gonna click this and now it's gonna bring all the way down to 213 just so you know what just happened there I'm gonna go out here and see don't open this up so you can see that I what I just did is remove all the words all the URLs that any of these words in them right so obviously there's some like you know black like flagged keywords and any kind of and anything that looks weird like yahoo.com we don't gonna get a link from them etc so I just removed them all right so we're gonna do that I'm gonna save this get out of here but that's what I just did right and that's why it removed so many URLs so fast so we just get rid of all those URLs and now we're down at 213 right so we're getting really close to being to having a really solid list of URLs now there's still a bunch of URLs in here that I don't think we get a link from and there's some there's root domains in here that we don't really want in our outreach batch so I'm going to show you how I go through all these I'm actually an add a step in here blacklisted so we're gonna be blacklisted next and I'm just gonna put roots just so we do this and let's do this thing so the next thing I'm gonna do is remove blacklisted so the next thing I would do is come in here you know apply the users of local blacklist now the black list is up here so scripts they're really the great thing about scrapebox is every time you do a scrape you can add those URLs to a black list so what happens is you don't reach out the same people twice right and that's why black lists are really powerful really important so in here you can see these are all of the if I go here you can see you got a black list this is the btg blue it's just a word file and it's really big it's 52,000 lines because I've been using it a lot but every time I did a scrape I would just add to it right keep adding to it so that I don't reach out to any of these people twice right and that's really important you know it's safe so now what's gonna happen is I'm fairly certain that already all of these words all these URLs are in my old black lists but I'll show you just what happens in case so I'm gonna export all this copies clipboard cuz I might just repay Stafford son so I'm gonna remove the filter apply users local black box and now actually we got a 72 so technically these are the 72 that were left after I apply my black list which is good because if I was to do a restream of all of the all of the those keywords and on the right hand on the left hand side here and I found new URLs that had created content or a bowtie style then I could reach out to it would be right here right so anyway these are all now 72 people we've never reached out to never seen before we've never even heard of them before now again you'll still see that there's some irrelevant stuff in here stuff stuff that will never you know will never you know will never use or want to reach out to like Indonesia that's that's a real and cool men's style that might be good so so this is actually a good example cool men's style would be probably a good prospect right but we wouldn't have found them had you not done this anyway so let's keep going now the next thing is going to be removed the roots right so I'm known to export this URL list as a text file let's see let's do this yep so we're gonna go libraries we can just put in the desktop and we'll call it bowties with suits now this is not my most perfect way of doing this I'm just trying to demonstrate the process I have a little bit more of a streamlined way of doing this that's organized but again just showing you the process here so I'm hit that and I wanted to do is one open a tool called remove let's see it's great box helper tools I'm gonna include link to this tool it's a free tool from loop line which is a scrapebox tutorial expert he's actually really great for scrapebox tutorial and i'll link to his stuff so I'm gonna hit browse add files and I'm gonna go to the desktop which I just left and we're gonna bow ties with suits routes and I'm gonna go to remove root domains and I'm gonna hit start and now it's gonna do is going to pull out those root domains and hit OK and it will just do this without roots and now we have that so just to show you there's probably some roots in here let's skip there's at least one city maybe not there might be no room domains in here but if there was this would remove it so we'll see so there's 72 processed records which makes sense there was 72 in there so I'm gonna grab go to desktop and then we're gonna go to without roots and under grab all these go back here clear import from from the peaceful clipboard yeah 72 so there would no root domains if there had been it would remove them right that's the key there because the list is so small but it's really important that we do that step because we're gonna reach out to reach old mates right anyway so now we're now with that keyword test right so next thing I wanna do is actually test these keywords these URLs to make sure they actually say bowtie somewhere on the page right because what happens is Google again it'll rank stuff that doesn't actually mean bowties so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna come into add-ons or actually I'm gonna go to you know add-ons I'm gonna go straight box page scan or 64-bit and we do load URLs from scrapebox harvester we had all these URLs next thing we do is edit and I'm gonna come down here and I have a keyword test already ready and then what I'm gonna do is and replace this with bowtie and bowtie so I just wanna make sure the word bowtie is somewhere on the page either with a space or that space and this is really important because again I want this page to actually say bowtie somewhere on it now if I reach out these people saying hey I saw it said bowties on your page and it doesn't actually say that they're gonna hit spam we don't want that so now if you're doing straight box and this isn't available - because I actually added this what you do is it add a new entry and then you just call it you know keyword test footprint whatever you want to call it and then you just come in here bowtie goes right and that would be another footprint so great yeah so you can see I just added it right so it doesn't really matter so we'll use this one and it's updated so we got those two versions and also something worth calling out is bowtie with space and bowtie without a space it's gonna check both and if it finds one or the other because it's on a different space if it was just this it would obviously just test just that and if it's just the other one it'll just test that but basically what you know is this is like or this or that or that or that or that right I'm not gonna get too much more technical than this cuz it can you know the regex is in here but I don't need to get I'm just looking for this keyword so I'm gonna close and I wanted to do is I start let's see right there so it's gonna start the scrape there was actually doing is it's crawling back crawling these pages and anywhere it sees both the word bowtie somewhere on the page it's gonna result in this right keyword test book print past right basically it's a pass anywhere where it doesn't it's gonna blank right now there are some situations where the server will block the crawler scrapebox won't be able to crawl and it'll come up as a failure like sometimes this business that's okay usually I just kind of weed those out anyway most of these are gonna pass so right now you can automatically see this went from like 72 it's gonna go down a lot faster but let's go export export results put this on this we could put it in the desktop as well okay and we can exit right the next thing we're gonna do is go back to the desktop and you see what we just did so we have a couple of different things that come to come here so these three things were added to this list keyword test footprint dot txt not found error so not found an error basically basically all the ones were failed could be the not found error is it couldn't even scrape it right so we're gonna do keyword test footprint right here these a hole of one these are the only ones where it found bowtie somewhere on the page right and this is really important because now we have a really duck we're starting it really dialed in list right so let's do import I already do replace current list don't want that ready to import for clipboard import from the board burn that 23 right so now we went from 700 to 23 more dialed in pieces of content right but you can still see there's some in here that don't really make any sense right we got trust press pricing I don't even know what this is like if I let's see what this even looks like right so to come up here we're gonna go to the page which I don't recommend just leave me to do that we're gonna go in here I just want this copy selected URLs and I just want to go here so you see this is not a page we expecting it on link from right so we're gonna quickly it you see the word bowtie is on the page right so that's important understand this were made it through those initial hoops because of that but we're gonna get rid of these really soon so another test I like to run is the byline test right and what this test is is a specific way to scrape only blog articles that basic articles that are on look likely to be on blog so let me show you how this works so let's go to add-ons page scanner then we're gonna do is load URLs scrapebox harvester edit and then we're gonna do the byline test which actually have to add it so let me add it but I'm also gonna pause this real quick and do that alright and I'm back and I have the byline so we're gonna do is I'm going to add a new footprint at least one footprint let's go in here and yes do that call it by line there's called by line test filing test paste so unclick that we only want this one a test now what's going on here is it's it's literally scraping it's looking into the code of the page the first test it was looking just for the words and now we're actually looking into the code of those 23 pieces though those 23 are else and we're going to find anywhere we're at a rel equals author or content equal article or a name equal author or itemprop people author if that four pieces of code are somewhere on the page one of them just one of them then it'll return a positive it'll be good so that's good because what's gonna do is gonna read out like e-commerce site it's gonna tweak out like just sites that are irrelevant for outreach so they're gonna close and then we have these 23 in here and we're gonna start this should take just a second so boom boom boom you can already see it weeded out a bunch of like the weed scientists let's see if it weed out that weird yeah so you see the armor metal one that would be just like this one right here clearly not a blog article right and it's got it's gone with that test so we're gonna export this export results put it on the back on the home put back on the desktop okay okay and then back to the desktop you can see so we're looking for is that byline test right here this is the results everything else you can ignore this the only thing I care about and now we're down to only a couple left in our example here exit this go back to this import from the clipboard again and now we're down to 16 what we're not crazy you know coincidence we got so far anyway we're almost done now we go back to the mind Meister map we can see if you did the keyword test with the byline test now we do the number word test right so this is where actually screaming frog and load up that too to see how many words are on the page right and I do this because I want to know if there's a lot of content on this page or not right if there isn't chances are low that I'm gonna get it I'm gonna get a link from this right so I'm gonna do export URL list copy all URLs to clipboard and I'm gonna go into here and we're gonna bulk mode list and then I'm going to upload paste so it's gonna add those 16 URLs and it's gonna go and now we're in a scrape it's gonna take just a second here to go through them all and now we can very quickly find where how many words on the page so we scroll all the way I believe it's some right here some breakdown so you see word count right here right so anything this is actually all these all look pretty good actually I usually anything under 300 I ignore and anything over like $10,000 more cuz usually those pages are not good now the text ratio could also be used here that we could see if there is any so yeah especially Kingston you had a formal wear ties there's bow ties this actually might be a good a good link seems like yeah this is exactly what we're looking for this looks like a blog article right I could see getting a link here although it's not English but I can see this could work out for a blogger article right so yeah so word count is what I would look anything above so these are all passed my test right cuz I'm really looking for anything below 300 or 400 words it's probably not a blog article or something we want to linked on everything above 10,000 could be just something you know just like gibberish right so usually that's what I look for and in this case it looks like everything's fine so I'm actually and the 0 down here I'm gonna give this one a pass although looking at it usually zeros I'll give it pass because what's gonna happen is if it can't scrape it it'll just say zero right and those are two companies sometimes coming as false positives right so if I look at this let's check it out let's actually go to it just to see you know what this looks like it's actually good to just see do this yeah this is actually you know it looks like a pretty good article right padding cool I would say keep this just look at an article that we can get a bowtie or um yeah they're even linking and yeah I would definitely keep that I would definitely keep that so that's good and then all right cool so that's all good now the only other thing I need to do is dee doop the root domains right so it's gonna happen is sometimes they'll be root domains that are multiples let me show you what that looks like so you come back in here now we got fancy Clemente South Corridor Clemente cell so you see how Coleman Stiles near twice we don't want to times right the only one once now normally I'm not gonna be able to see this right they'll be hidden in the many many thousands that are in here so you would actually see them there's a for one there's a one two three four versions of equipment style here and the only reason they're all in here is because they they all the only reason that they're all in here is because they all have different URLs right we only removed the same URL so we're gonna do is we're gonna remove duplicate to a mains right and the assumption is that all of these URLs have passed all the tests therefore they're all good right so oops we're gonna go back here and we're domains and there you go we're down to thirteen so now we're depth there are thirteen best right so we've come a long way from 700 yeah these are 13 really solid articles that are very close but even we still even need to go another step further and really dial in this list but this list is ultimately going to be the final thing in scrapebox or baby basically don't straight box now scraped box has served its purpose so I'll go back to mind Meister we can see that we need to add it to the bash so we're gonna do now is I'm actually going to go into bow ties with suits and I'm gonna go to outreach badge this is kind of what I will use as a template so if we go into outreach badge empty you can see what my batch looks like this is usually the sheet that I use the stage you can see here we have batch ones just they can identify our article type so we have the article that's being promoted the topic that the article is on you'll see how that plays into the scripts in the merge fields in the future minutes of this video and then the process material domain okay so what we need to do here is just paste in the prospects URLs there and that's all we need to do and have this formula is just gonna pull in the root domain because we need the root domain to use for outreach purposes you'll see in a second now the email address for stilling email we still need first name and date maybe we'll need that these two are gonna be filled in by the VA right usually I have a virtual assistant that will review these URLs to find the email the best email they could find on the page as well as the first name of that person right and what also I'll do here is I'll just screech or pull this down so we have a nice even thing cuz these again these are gonna be inserted into a a into milkshake or hunter or whatever you decide to use for your outreach and we'll do this and there we go now the step after this is we need to have a VA again review these so what I would do if we go back to our mind Meister map we're going to add to bat from did and URL reviewer is going to review them all so what they're gonna do is they're literally going to come in here take all of these and then there's a couple ways you can do this up alright here it is so if we type in link prospecting tool you'll come to a site called the upper ranks what you want to do is click this link prospecting tool right here the link prospector and then we're gonna paste in oops about that and then we're gonna paste in the URLs from our outreach batch and this is what the VA would do right so this is not necessarily something I would do the first thing they're gonna do is make sure that actually relevant for bowties right so we need to import these so once those are imported we can very quickly reject accept reject accept this is this tool is going to basically pull up a screenshot of all these pages and then we can quickly save this is good or bad right and the VA will just hit reject or accept or whatever so all these are starting to load and I'm just going to pause the video until they're done loading alright and we're back so you can see here that all these pages were loaded we can very very quickly see if the ones that are good and bad so I'm just gonna scroll through this one I already looked at it I liked it patek will that one's good men stylists good even have outbound links table of contents is exactly what I'm looking for if anything they have bow ties in here believer just make sure they have bow ties neck ties they have bow ties they have yep there you go so we're good there this one perfect this one looks like an art blog article perfect we have the oblique life the world of bow ties good this looks good - GQ Middle East could be good I don't see any outbound links on this page it's not terrible GQ Middle East might be a specific subset of GQ and probably I'm gonna reject this one and then how to stop tiles that looks perfect although it's not loading let's go to the page and see what's going on oh yeah this is good this is great and I always I put the tool but it works I mean a Gomer this looks really good it's not gonna be a it's not technically about bowties but you know we'll see it's probably fine top bowties for men 2017 review it's a little bit old I might go to cool men's side this is where I might like massage just a little bit and I would look for I might look for another PO even though I would remove the old posts I might look for another post on their site about bow ties that was more recent like this one right here but this one actually my pair listen right here might be good it's the newest one I did did it last year in fact let me see this blog is actually active also Ultraman hmm doesn't really look too active huh so it's not looking too good but they actually would respond but I think if I'm gonna get any link it's probably gonna be from this one because it's the newest one they're all fine though so I'm gonna go back to the outreach batch and I'm just going to replace that link with the more relevant link make sure to get rid of link there you go next go back to the upper ranks just finished that bit of prospecting this does not look relevant machine screws so this is one that he has gotten through and doesn't look like it's working yeah you're gonna have to let c-word bowtie yeah I don't know how this one got through it might have been just like an ad or something that's a bow tie on it when it was crawled so I'm gonna get rid of this one good example of one that did not make the cut so get rid of that some simple steps to tie perfect bow tie for someone else this actually looks like a good piece yep this one's perfect keep that this was established connection let's see - 101 yeah keep that even though this is again some of the tools don't always work and they got recorder this one looks like it's not relevant but let's see yeah I mean it's not bad I don't see any how about links we're gonna get a link to it maybe not time to say it looks like we're yeah it's hard to say I mean we might be able to get a link to it so we'll keep it so those are the those are the final lists oh really can't we kept all of them except one and what you can do is obviously have a bigger list it gets a little more thing so you're gonna export copy to clipboard and what you can do is to go back to your outreach batch and then just go ahead and paste and they could see we remove - there you go movies and that's the better list so there you go and that's pretty much a slightly better list I don't know why this is P equals let's see I think there's an actually I think it's gonna redirect yeah now we're done with the preliminary prospect and the VA would do the next thing the VA would do is grab emails right so I'll just do a couple quick demonstration on a couple here so if I was an email say from me Padrino I have a tool wall on here hundred I was gonna look for an email address on this page you want the best email address generally the person who wrote the article is the best person let's see what email hunters got so we've got Lauren Shane which is me I got Sports for support so Lauren and Shane might be the best for press yeah so I might use Lauren and let's see Anton its name let's go to about faith about page I don't see about let's go to that sources page let's see press that's gonna be in Spanish yeah connect yeah okay Lauren seems to be the best person to reach out to so we'll we'll use her and we'll grab her email address beam them and we grab that and drop it in the and this again this would be the job of the VA so we come over here what I wanted in first morning is her name next is catechol same thing and we'll do is we'll check hunter real quick and see what they got Stephen appears to be the right one they only wrote the post Stephen looks like maybe the writer the editor I mean your P's and Q's info say hello Stephen might be the best um I would prefer to reach out to Naomi if I could find her it let's see about I don't see any mr. Brian and Carrie so that's who owns the site Brian and carry on the site let's see sometimes to get a good email address sometimes you could punch in an email so I could you know use my email address and just join their list and then when they email me I can respond and they'll have their email address right so that could be something you can do let's see customer service just ago the Facebook group of course always if it's a Facebook group to see if you can find a good email address but about info info at is probably gonna be your best bet here so we'll use info at and then pad and quill that's their name so we already know their their names are really who's Brian Carey so we might do what I would do this is exactly what I would do I would go into outreach here never do Brian Brian Carey because I found them right here and then last one I'll do one more example men's stylist commands ties before of a generic site Eric is the writer no emails from Hunter so I'm gonna look for Eric let's see what Eric's got Eric loop sarataro let's check their Facebook group about men's stylist info ad is probably your best bet again so do that and we'll go back to it I didn't find I mean I'll let me just check I'll check one more time before I just give up immediately I don't see any other good email addresses to use here about let's see my story Nick Nick not use it uh Nick owner is Nick so the owner is Nick been coming to the contact page let's see that yeah info is the best to get info out to me your best Nick is the owner but the guy who wrote that post his name was Eric so what I might do in the article as I might actually reference Eric be like already script and okay hey Owen or whoever or you know hey men's stylist calm I saw a post written by Eric about men's ties you know my site be the bowtie guy just from just launched an article on the best bowtie suit style would be really interested in writing about it that's kind of the angle you start developing a pitch there yeah so I mean that's kind of how I approach that and if I was gonna update this sheet again come back in here Eric Eric loose Tarot is the awesome I've gotten linked before we're referencing actual writer just makes you stand out again all right anyway Owen I believe is the right just double-checking the owner is only always Nick okay cool so there you go three examples of pulling so the euro rel reviewer responsible to go all through all of them generally I pay about ten cents per URL reviewed that's usually you know fair price and yeah and it usually works and that usually gets me all these all these you're all these emails and the best email to by the way I don't kind of I mean you can we can do to scale us up a bit is hunter do you can scrape all the emails and then pull the best one I have a tool that actually gets the best email address from Hunter and I can I can do a future video on that if you're student let me know in the comments down below and yes those how that's how I do that and and there you go and then the last step in my process is go back to my register we're going to reject them right so what we're gonna do is we're gonna load up into our outreach tool choice and schedule some outreach and we're gonna get the links right now what I do is I trying to negotiate for links first and you'll see in a second how I do that and if it doesn't work out then I try to go GP so you can see here I already kind of have a script developed and the way I I'm using Hunter diode just as an example so how this works basically as you script up what you want to write read so my general approach to scripting and outreach emails is I like to try to be funny unfortunately it's worked for me and I've gotten a lot more success with that and it's it's kind of a subtle touch you got to be kind of you know don't be overly and it's hard to be sarcastic over the internet so you can't be too sarcastic funny it's got to be very like obvious funny so for example here's kind of how I would do it also by the way is I generally email or do outreach on specific days of the week and then I'll reference those days that week in the scripts right so like happy Monday so because that it feels less robotic if you actually refer the day that's going out on and I do that on purpose because this will go out on Tuesday and then six days later if I don't have to reply it'll go out on Monday so I say happy Monday right and that little bit of an of like personalization can be enough to get that open right so then I'm also do is so basically just kind of stepping you through my script hey you know first name I'd be Tuesday and you're busy I'll make this snappy again I'm like I'm addressing the fact that I know they're busy I'm having empathy for their situation I'm emailing you because there was a recent study we're not really recent but there was a study done on Ebel's and people this just this phrase I'm emailing you because just saying that will help address in their mind why is this email happening to me and then this is gonna get to that real quick so I noticed your site this is where prospects for domain domain you can see in my outreach batch here you can see that this right here would just merge with that field and a page that mentioned topic right bow ties right here here and then prosperous URL right there so it's basically saying your site mentioned bow ties here I wanted let you know and this is now getting into why this is exactly why I'm emailing them and this is why they should care right I want to let you know I just finished up a fairly comprehensive guide on how to wear a bow tie would suit myself have been wearing a bow tie for 10 plus years this is giving myself some credentials a reason why why me why why should I listen and why me right my goal is to cover everything about wearing a bow tie and Sue properly from myths to do's and don'ts and a few outfit ideas right I really wanted to do a deep dive on bow tie suit style against something you may appreciate again I'm addressing why they should care and now I'm trying to promote the piece a bit and why I'm doing this again I mean I'm reinserting the question why and why you why and why you and now I'm trying to promote peace a bit and share with folks you might enjoy it again why him or her I help them with their bow ties to tell so I'm framing in a way where I'm helping them right that's important because I don't want to frame this in a way where they're helping me because then they feel like they're losing I want them to feel like they're winning said I think it can make for a great additional links or resource and the page above from potential bowtie wears because the site that I'm reaching out to is about bowties article but here's the article that I'm trying to get promoted and then I say what do you think name right and I end it with their name I try to say their name as much as possible because because people may remember their names people love their name right so it's important to say their name as much as possible and then I take the pressure off no worries either way right if they're not interested no worries right I'm not trying to be overly pushy here and then I have a couple of bits of information like hey my name my founder I'm a founder my phone number just to make myself stand out a little bit more I have my tagline I have my email address and my website information and then I have some PS this year hey you know if you don't want me to talk about this topic tell me to go away till understand just reply with the interested that way it triggers the stop of this flow so that because it's looking for a response and if they're saying I'm not interested and people to stop the response it also let me know they're interested right and then PPS if I'm emailing the person about this I apologize I just want the first email I could find right I'm also addressing the fact that I may have really emailed the wrong person right so that's something I'm not trying I'm not trying to be like I think this person is not aware what they're doing right like a sociopath basically I'm aware that I'm emailing somebody randomly about a thing they might have any interest about right so I'm addressing that there and then if they don't respond happy Monday again I'm sure because this is six days later I know it's a Monday I haven't heard from you yet which means they're gonna be three possible stereos and this is where I'm trying to add a bit of funny you don't like my guide you're busy and you haven't gotten a second check it out yet again or you're on a sandy Hawaiian beach again right this is kind of the funny part all you do is choose one of the above numbers you can apply so I know what's going on I'll take you appropriate action if needed Cheers again if not interested dah dah dah and then this is the third time so three days later finally hear from them I send me usually an image of something funny in this case Squidward just looking funny and then this is just to get it they kind of get a response maybe a chuckle like it's just funny is it funny image right and then like in the examples a priori I might have like Cookie Monster like eating cookies like waiting like tapping the table or a giraffe just chewing you know like bored you know basically wonder waiting where there's a response right and then the last if I still haven't earned anything basically let's say hey you know say you females on how to wear bow tie with suit style here it is I'm really big on fob because I know again people are busy men boxes are full really thought it'd make for interesting link resource for you your audience and my joy hadn't heard peep maybe because you're busy or you too nice tell me to like it perhaps instead I can offer you some content the form of a guest post again changing the topic and this actually works way more than you think it would and then boom editorial standards if you're still working together no worries a stop pestering you book and there you go and that's that's my script basically and it's really important we do we script things the way they are now I'm not gonna get into like how to use tools and stuff like that a lot outside the scope of this video just want to show you my link building process next thing I would do looks like I have some merge fields that you fixed alright and then once you're done with the content you hit add recipients and this is where I would go back to my my batch and then say say this is all false and delete everything else because I don't need it and then I'm hit file save as this PC and then make it a CSV which is right there I'm just a hunter test now we're going to go in here and then had people and then up CID CSV and then we're gonna select File and then hundred tests we just did import now this doesn't already exists so that's definitely fix the naming get rid of this this cool and then try again 100 test important all right cool it's just gonna work it in it's gonna ask you which the fields names are and this is gonna be your article your article or their topic right their prospect URL right then prospects rude to me right then we got email address right there first name right there then that's it and then yeah they start deport that should work import leads perfect and now we have everything in here so we have the three in here now we can check review what these looks like so now actually shows you the whole sequence for each so you can men's stylist so here it is this is the first email hey Nick have a Tuesday and you're busy and you see how it everything just merges it and there you go right how easy was that right you can see even here question on bowties that's its chest the it's a title usually just say something related to the topic at hand and that's it right that's it that's how I do my link building and this is it right and it's you know you can very it's very easily scalable and what I would recommend you do is you re scrape these keywords every month or two right cuz there's always new people creating content on topics you have existing linkable assets too so you should always be building links new links to that content you like this video like and subscribe if you didn't let me know in the comments what you need you have questions on happy to go into any more detail if need be again like him subscribe it helps me stay motivated to keep creating videos and you know it helps me figure out what you guys like to learn about anything um Shane here with Shane dead keep calm and I'll see you in the next video to help you build your blogging business soon bye
