hello in this video I'm going to show you how to publish your digital article online so once you have your article ready and it's been edited and it's ready to be published online you're gonna go to the right to the meta tab you're gonna start at the top and just work your way down gonna start by adding your publication channel or group just by starting you can click on the field and find it in the list or you can start typing the channel name in once you select it you need to close the tab once you have a publication channel or group listed then it'll enable the placement taxonomy you can click on that and do a search for it as well start typing it in select the one you want or and then type more and add as many as you need then you've got the SEO category which just like in any psycho content you're gonna select a category whether it's news sports entertainment for what the story category is then you've got your topic taxonomy you can add as many topic taxonomy x' as you need you're going to start by typing in the taxonomy that you want to select click on it and again you can add as many as you want from there then there's the byline field which will pre-fill for you based on your login credentials so it'll kill for that you can remove it by hitting the X you can add an additional byline as well these are a list of smart by lines so these are ones that are clickable links when it goes online if you don't find the person you want to add in this list then you'll need to add it to the simple byline field on the presentation tab that I'll go over a moment and then just like in content today you've also still have the keywords tags filled and you can add new ones or add one that's already there by simply typing in the one you want and then selecting it the map location field is not working at this time but this will allow you to tag a location for a map and then the news value field is what will be used for planning purposes and will be discussed in a later video after you fill those fields out with what you want then you need to go to the presentation tab on the right click on it you need to select in there the sin 2 NCS digital you need to make that a yes in our current workflow process the retain date this toggle you'll need to select if you're updating an older story that you don't want it to go up to the top of the queue or go back to the top of the list online then you would simply select that if it's an update and then just like in content today if you've got a YouTube video that's on your YouTube channel that you want to have on your online story you put the ID number for the video in this field or if you've got a playlist you want you put the ID for the playlist in the youtube playlist field now the simple byline field this is the one I mentioned a moment ago this one is when there isn't a smart byline on the meta tab and you need to add a byline for online type it in along with their attribution the digital SEO label that is our URL override field so if you've got a story that you want when somebody clicks on it to go to the new one you simply put your own URL override information in this then there's a no Google index it is automatically set to false and this is so that Google finds the article when somebody does a search in Google browsers if you don't want it to be searched you simply change it to true please only use that an extreme caution and in certain situations once you've got those fields filled out then you go up next to the Save button to the little down arrow you click on that if you want it to publish now you can simply click on publish now if you want it to publish at a later day and time fill in the month date and year and the time you want it to publish and then hit scheduled publication and then it'll be online at that day in time once you publish a story it'll tell you that it was successfully updated you simply click on it if you need to you can also if you have any updates you can just simply hit update and it'll automatically republish it or you can go down and select republish again if you want to unpublish the story there's also the option to unpublish or and then you can save as a new saves a new draft which just creates it as a draft mode it doesn't take it offline so that is how you publish your story your digital story online thank you
