hi this is Eric with another Eric's product reviews this time I'm going to be reviewing the VTech DECT 6.0 2 handset system now there are versions of the same system with more than two handsets I think they have only three and with four but it's basically the same system and will work the same just additional handsets but we have two and so that's what I'm going to review just kind of an overview these are of course cordless handsets there are two of them they each have their own power base only one of them has to be plugged into your phone line so for example this is the main base so this plugs into the phone line on the main floor of our townhouse and then this one is in the bit we're keeping the bedroom and it doesn't have to be plugged into a the telephone line so you can put it anywhere I just needs to have a plug to keep it charged but that's it of course once it's charged either one of these you can take them off the base and have them sitting anywhere you want them to set and just make sure you know if the battery gets low you put them back on the base but they don't have to stay on your base which is just another bonus now besides that let's see they they're comfortable they're lightweight but they are comfortable the charge seems to hold really well you can have this off the base for a a pretty long time that having to worry about it the charge running out if you're not using an interest off the base the neck itself the base for several days before the charge wears out obviously if you're using it then you're going to use the bedding a little bit faster but they do seem to hold their charge for a very good while this base does have the fine handset button so if you press that button it will make that both handsets make a noise so that you can find where it is I'm going to move over so that I can show you a better view each handset looks pretty much the same as soon as we focus in there we go then you can see you've got all the standard stuff that you would need on your handset Golf button the talk button a mute button and then menu select to go through the menu you can store a ton of numbers in the phone if you want to you can have your volume control here it's also used when you're inside of the the menu to move around you do have a speaker button and both phones are speaker phones the speaker is on the back here I will say that from my experience the speaker works great plenty loud enough to hear as well as being plenty picking up my voice fine even...
