welcome to charm health your medical records management and practice management application on the cloud in this video we will go over how to add import and export patients in charm health topics covered include how to add a new patient how to import patients how to export patients and how to deactivate or activate a patient adding a new patient to add a new patient to the ehr from the home screen click on add patient icon next to the search bar or go to patients and click add patient fill out the mandatory fields such as first name last name date of birth and birth sex while adding a patient you can choose to send a patient portal invitation to the patients or caregivers email choose the appropriate option then enter the email address you wish to send the invitation to in the contact details section enter other information as needed then click add to add the patient importing patients if you have a list of patients to be added in bulk go to patients click on the three dots next to the add patient button and select import patients create a csv file with your patient's data arranged in the specified format your file should have all the columns listed here in the order they are listed first name last name gender and data birth fields should not be empty if you do not have this data enter placeholders and edit later make sure date of birth is in the format of month day year also note that you can only import a maximum of 500 patients at a time when you have arranged your data in the required format delete the row with the column names make sure your file is saved in csv format return to your charm health portal choose file and click import make any minor corrections needed then click add all the patients and the csv file have now been added to your charm ehr exporting patients note that only members with practice admin role can export patients to export the list of patients go to patients click on the three dots next to the add patient button and select export patients as csv or export patients as hl7 ccda for the hl7 ccd format you can choose to export a subset of patients and can also schedule the export for a later time click export and download the file onto your computer deactivating or activating a patient once a patient has been added to the ehr they cannot be deleted if needed the practice can deactivate a patient so that they do not appear in search results to deactivate a patient go to patients and select the patient you want to deactivate click on the three dots on the top right hand side and select deactivate patient click ok to confirm to activate an inactive patient click on the three dots next to the add patient button and select show inactive...
