Digital sign catering proposal
hey everyone so today i'm going to walk you through how to quickly create a new proposal now many of you when you start with curate will have what we call templates these are frameworks or structural proposals that you pre-design with stock imagery or items that you often use over and over again to make it really easy to actually create a new proposal quickly make a few adjustments and then send it out now the way you can create a template is by clicking add new event and then running through the add new event module the most important part here is dropping down the event stage to a template selecting from a previous template or for many of you you'll just create from a blank event and then call it something like catering wedding template now when you save this you'll actually be taken into our work room view of a template where you can actually construct a template for your different event types many caterers choose to produce a wedding template and a sit-down template different menu item templates and packages um so that when they do create a new event all they have to do is select the event stage and then pick and choose the cam uh the template that most suits them the best now for this example i'm just going to take us into a demo proposal here and walk you through some of the main pieces of creating a proposal now when you open a new proposal you have three different tabs the events workroom and preview view the events actually takes you back to the navigation menu where else your workroom view is going to be the actual construction view uh where the user is going in and actually adapting things within the proposal adding menu items and things like that you can always click on the preview view to see what your proposal looks like at any given time for your customer before you actually send it to them now in this case within the workroom view you always want to start at the admin tab these are actually the proposal settings where you can turn on things like expiration dates adding different markup possibilities maybe some private notes and of course change your fonts and colors related to the proposal to give you some more customization now the overview is actually what displays for your client or customer if you elect to put in photos in the different cover pages of our different themes or if you would like to have yours a little bit just more text based depending on the theme of your choice it's not going to show for your customer so you can again toggle between the preview and work review to see what that looks like now in this example you can see here i'm using the brilliance theme i can actually select different images to include uh within my cover page and actually add those in to create a cover page for my customer this is going to be kind of that first page that they see with your event name and date as well as any kind of imagery you'd like to put in there as you move throughout the proposal you'll see different spots such as the header where you can actually add in other stock imagery or imagery related to the event and then you get to the event details now a lot of this will come in automatically depending on what you put in as your first and second customer when creating the proposal or the event a lot of this stuff also will be pre-built if you have those templates already pre-designed during your first onboarding with us and our customer success team now we can definitely help you build templates if you ever need help you do have our chat team at the bottom right we also have a bunch of resources within the main navigation menu in your account uh as well as online and through our youtube channel now on the second page here you'll see the ability to add in event notes this is kind of like the introduction to your proposal this is all just text space so you can actually edit and enter whatever you'd like or copy and paste maybe some narrative that you've already created before the documents section is great for caterers they like to include food food plans or even floor plans as well on any kind of extracurricular documents you can actually click to upload and bring within the document section now as you scroll down you'll hit the inspiration board this is actually really important if you're a caterer that likes to kind of give a creative side element to your proposal you can actually bring in photos here um and actually drag and drop those around to create kind of like a masonry style board once you're finished building a proposal or uh proposal for your event you actually have the ability to preview it as i mentioned at the very beginning make sure that everything's interacting the way you'd like the styles and layout are the way you want it and then when you're finished with the proposal you'll actually go ahead and click the publish button the publish button actually creates the live digital link for your client and allows you to access the hamburger menu here to mail this directly from the system if you do have email templates built within your account it makes it really easy just to grab some of that info maybe adapt some of the uh content information in the email or customize it for your client and then send this off if you'd like to take the proposal link because it is public and use it in your gmail or other email server you can actually click to copy that proposal link if you want to take it outside the system and copy and paste it maybe in a text message or email to your client as well so you have different possibilities there with the option to actually create a pdf or mail it directly from the software when your client actually accesses this information they no need for a login to curate they just actually open up that link and when that link appears they're going to experience that same uh interactive and digital experience that you had within the preview view except they're not going to see any of the back end features or work here and they'll be able to go through your proposal pay sign and even interact with the different elements
