in today's video i want to talk to you about the accord 25 or better known as the certificate of liability insurance now people get confused about how to read the core 25 form whether you're a policy holder or you're the person requesting the certificate of insurance from a policy holder it's important that you understand how to read in a core 25 and what's listed on the document so in the first document here i'm going to show you this is a blank a core 25 certificate of liability insurance a few things that you want to check for on the top right is going to be the date that the certificate was issued in the middle section is going to have all of your producer and agency contact information the named insured is going to be right underneath the producer box and then to the right is where people start to get confused so if you look here this is going to be where all the insurance companies are listed and their naic number so if a policyholder has multiple insurance companies you can see there's a b c d e and f listed then all the insurance companies will be summarized on this section and that corresponds to the bottom left under coverages on the left-hand toolbar so for example if the commercial general liability carrier is insurer a there will be an a to the left now if the auto liability carrier is the same insurance company then the a will also be there in that section however if the umbrella and the work comp carry let's say are different carriers let's say insurer b writes the umbrella and insurance c writes the work comp then you'll see a b and a c next to those then of course you have the there's a bunch of boxes here that tell you what type of policy it is um you know if it's the symbols listed on the policy or if it's the general liability of this claim made or current uh the effective dates the policy numbers and the limits all the way to the right uh down below you have just your description of operations box this could be this is a place for the producer or the agency to list some additional info pertaining to their certificate so it could be a project location uh could be you know whether there's certain endorsements that apply uh if endorsements follow the certificate it will list that they their their uh they proceed the certificate or uh to continue on to find them and then on the bottom left of course the certificate holder uh which is the person who is being named under certificate now i'm going to show you one here that's actually issued this is one that we issued here in house this is sample and as you can see very top right you have your date uh you have our agency...
