(upbeat music) - [Narrator] Setting up Spectrum TV is easy. In just a few simple steps, you'll be connected and enjoying your new service. Let's start by unpacking the kit, and make sure you have instructions, a Spectrum receiver, a power cord, a remote, two batteries, coax cables, an HDMI cable, and a coax splitter. First you'll need to connect the receiver. Choose the coax cable included in your kit that is the best length based on the location of the receiver. Connect the coax cable to a cable outlet, then connect the other end to the receiver. If you're using the same cable outlet for your modem and Spectrum TV receiver, you will need to use the coax splitter and extra coax cables provided in your kit. For more information, visit spectrum.net/splitter. Next, take the HDMI cable and connect one end to the receiver and the other end to your TV. Then take the power cord and connect it to the receiver and plug the other end into an electrical outlet. The receiver will turn on automatically. For optimum performance, it's best to avoid placing anything on top of the receiver. Lastly, remove the battery cover from the remote and insert the batteries. If you have additional receivers, repeat these steps for each one before moving forward. Next, the receiver will need to be updated. Turn on your TV and select the HDMI connection for the receiver using input or source on your TV or TV remote. A firmware upgrade screen will be displayed on your TV. This will let you know that your receiver is properly connected to your TV. If you see NO SIGNAL on your TV, make sure the receiver is on using the power/all button on the remote or the power button on the receiver. The receiver will automatically start downloading a firmware upgrade, which will only take about six minutes to complete. You'll wanna be sure the upgrade completes before moving forward to avoid any activation issues. If you have additional receivers, update each one at this time as well. After the upgrade is complete, the receiver will turn off automatically. Turn it back on. After about six minutes, your TV screen will display a new message. Once it does, you'll be ready to activate. To activate your service, go to spectrum.net/selfinstall from your smartphone, tablet, or computer, and follow the on-screen instructions. When you see a welcome screen on your TV, your activation is complete. Follow the on-screen prompts to learn about your guide. Now you can start watching TV, though it may take up to 20 minutes for the guide to load all of your channel info. You can also visit spectrum.net/channels for your local channel lineup, or check out channel 2400 to learn more about your TV service. Spectrum guide will attempt to identify your TV's brand and automatically program the remote to control your TV. Or you can manually program your remote using these easy steps. Press and hold the...
