I am I'm so excited about presenting this lesson because this is the golden ticket of prospecting if you can get this right if the church will follow the process this will produce like nothing else you do so go ahead if you will and um take a seat and get out a piece of paper some notes um so let me tell you this story about compassion cards so my wife is a card writer my wife is the type of lady that when she receives a card she sends a card thanking you for the card that's my wife all right so we can we get married we get cards sheets and cards back and sometimes you she would send to a card writer they just keep sending cards back and forth she's always loved cards now my daughter was raised with a mother who sent cards and our children were taught from their the youngest of Ages you write cards so they're always sending thank you cards they're those are two my kids are two kids that will always send a thank you card if something kind a gift is given they're going to hand write the card so we noticed that during our our ministry we let sending cards became a very effective tool in uh prospecting contacts we were still learning how to put it together but we noticed that it produced Sharon Fisher was our first conversion from cards she came because of the cards and uh but we also noticed something else when we bought cards we were throwing about a fourth of them away because they were unscriptural they had messages that we just could not use they had messages that were just false and then it was hard to find cards that were based on a version of the Bible that it was trustworthy and so uh we noticed that a lot of the cards were being produced by a company called Day Spring which is very closely associated with the Baptist Church and so we were going to Hobby Lobby Christian bookstores buying cars throwing about a fourth of them away and filtering filtering them through and um so Hannah came up with that idea she said dad why don't we produce our own cards and so she went to Shutterfly she went to various other uh sources trying to find a way economically to produce cards well it was it's cost prohibitive all right then we went to the big printers the big printers like producing house to house heart to heart and we said what can you produce cards for and what we found out is the card companies have been hosing us okay in other words they are you can get them very cheaply that when you spend a dollar at the dollar store for a card they're taking advantage of you all right those cards cost nowhere near that so we began compassion cards I have...
