all right let's get one thing straight nobody likes writing progress reports but they are important in a healthy organization so in this video i'm going to walk through a simple and powerful way to write progress reports quickly and easily and importantly i'm going to share a free downloadable template that you can use to get up and running super quick you ready let's go [Music] [Applause] right welcome i hope you're safe and well now the method that i'm sharing in this video is heavily inspired by a guy called martin mikos who's the ceo of hacka1 martin has been a friend of mine for many years he's an amazing leader and when i started consulting full-time hacker won one of my very first clients and this is a technique that he was using at the time to share and gather progress reports from his team now the key thing here is that while no one likes writing progress reports i don't think anyone likes reading them and the reason why is that we're super busy we're overflowing with information and what i love about this technique that like i say is heavily inspired by martin mikos is that it's all about simplicity now first of all you're going to send these progress reports by email you're not going to ask somebody to open up a pdf or a word file on their phone awkwardly or click on a link to go to a system and then it turns out they've forgotten their login credentials they're gonna have to go and reset the password or anything like that now they're just gonna open up an email and all the information is gonna be in there as a series of bullet points and the other thing is that you're going to send these progress reports out about once a week or maybe once every two weeks and the goal here is that it's a very simple easy accessible download to your audience of what's going on all right so let's get started and as i mentioned i've created a free downloadable template that you can use to play along at home as i go through this and what i'd recommend you do is watch this video just put together your very first progress report send it out get a bit of feedback on it and then just iterate and grow from there all right the format of this is devilishly simple essentially what we're going to do is we're going to break the email down into five sections and each section is going to have a series of different bullet points and these sections are very specifically designed to deliver the right kind of information to your audience now section number one is about accomplishments and this is where you'll share in bullet point form achievements successes and accomplishments that have happened recently now what's really critical here is that you should try and use data to back up...
