[Music] in this video for the soundcraft signature 10 desk we will be looking at how to set up for speech singing music and plugging in a guitar or keyboard move the master fader to zero plug the xlr into your microphone then take the other end of the xlr and put it into channel one on the mixing desk at the bottom of that channel lift the fader up to zero then slowly increase the gain test test on the channel test test test test test one two three you'll see that lights will show on the meters to the right hand side you commute the channel by pressing the red mute button if you're a singer looking to add reverb or effects to your vocal then put the master effects fader to zero then locate the blue knob above the vocal channel and slowly increase one two three one two three hey hey one two hey you can also mute the effects in between songs by pressing the red mute button above the fader two two if you have a stage monitor then take the supplied jack cable and plug it into auxiliary one out locate the green auxiliary knob on channel one the more you increase the more will go to your stage monitor hey hey hey hey to play music through the mixing desk take the supplied mini jack to phono's cable plug the mini jack into a laptop a phone or a tablet then plug the phonos into channels 9 and 10 on the mixing desk play music from your device making sure that your volume is up press the pfl button on channel 9 and 10 increase again on channels 9 and 10 until it hits 0 on the leds once happy deselect pfl and lift up the fader for 9 and 10. you can now increase the volume on the backing track and start singing to balance the vocals and the backing track vocal vocal vocal backing track getting added back attack getting added if you want to send a backing track to the stage monitor then simply locate auxiliary one on that channel and slowly increase until you're happy in your monitor if you want to plug in a guitar or keyboard then simply plug in the jack into channels three or four and press down the high zed button select the pfl button then slowly increase the the level will show once happy deselect the pfl and increase the fader you can also add reverb to the instrument by increasing the blue knob and also sent to the stage monitor by increasing auxiliary one [Music] if you are using a microphone that requires phantom power or a di box then press the 48 volt button at the top right corner of the mixing desk you
