welcome to confirmation part of Thomson Reuters this video will illustrate the steps for requesting client authorization electronically using confirmation obtaining client authorization is a critical step in the confirmation process and is required prior to initiating confirmations through the application to obtain client authorization you will need to have completed step 1 adding a new client and step 2 adding client accounts if you're not familiar with these steps refer to the corresponding video tutorials and articles within the Help Center the process for requesting client authorization can be initiated from the main dashboard using the Quick Links option for this demonstration we will perform this action directly from the client information tab for the selected client first select the request button located within the client authorization area a list of available signers will appear if you don't see your signer or the signer cannot be selected this either means the signer has already provided authorization or does not have any accounts currently assigned for more information click on the link in the description of this video select the appropriate client signer from the available list and click request confirmation generates an automated email to the signers email address this email contains a link allowing the signer to electronically sign and return authorization directly to your confirmation account once you receive authorization the signers name will move into the received area you can find more detailed information regarding the authorization request response and usage by selecting the view log button you are now ready to initiate confirmations for this signer for additional information on initiating confirmations refer to the step for initiating confirmations tutorial within our Help Center you [Music]
