welcome to the oklahoma eastern bankruptcy court electronic learning modules this module will focus on amending the schedules including an amendment to the creditor schedule and the creditor matrix when you amend the schedules to add a creditor that was left out of the bankruptcy you also need to amend the creditor matrix so you'll need to file the amended schedule d e or f and also the amendment to the matrix these documents require signatures by the debtors they require certificates of service notifying the parties that they have been added to the bankruptcy the summary of schedules would need to be amended to include the amount now added on the creditor schedules let's look at filing these documents once you've logged in to ecf click on bankruptcy and click on other enter the case number for your amendments click next processes are continuing in the background click next please note that this module focuses on an amendment to creditor schedules should you need to amend one of the other schedules please see the highlighted event on this page an amendment to schedules does still require signatures by the debtor and certificates of mailing to the appropriate parties if totals have changed on the summary of schedules then you should also file an amended summary of schedules there is not an amendment fee to the other schedules to amend a creditor schedule we would need to select amendment to schedules def there is an amendment fee you will also need to add that creditor to the matrix if you file the amendment to the matrix on the same day that you file the amendment to the schedules d erf then there is not an additional filing fee so we would need the amendment to matrix no fee to show up as a selected event to select amendment to matrix no fee in addition to the amendment to the schedules d e and f fee we must hold down the control key and then select amendment to matrix no fee so that both events show up as a selected event so to repeat when you amend the creditor schedules def there is an amendment fee if you're adding a creditor to the bankruptcy that was left out you also need to do an amendment to the matrix the amendment to the matrix needs to only contain the changes so if it's one creditor being added then you would only have one creditor on the amendment to the matrix these documents do require signatures by the debtors you would need to look at an amendment to the summary of schedules which can be included in the file for the amendment to schedules and you do also need a certificate of service for each of these documents stating that the appropriate parties were mailed notice click next joint filing with other attorneys allows you to add additional attorney information in our example today we will just click next and bypass this option these amendments would be filed by the debtors so we need to select the debtors to select both debtors first select the debtor hold the control key and then select the joint header click next the browse screen here will allow me to select my amendment documents i would have already prepared these documents and saved them here on my computer select your amended documents that have been saved as a pdf file you can have your documents saved in one file or multiple files if you have your document saved in multiple files select one of those files here i will show you how to add attachments in the next few steps select the first file and you should preview the file to make sure that you are selecting the correct file for this bankruptcy case click on the open button to select this file my amendment file is now in the browse field to add an attachment i will click on yes click the next button another browse screen is presented here click the browse button to locate the amendment to the matrix that goes along with your amended schedules select your first file again i would want to right click and preview this document before i select it to make sure that i do not attach the wrong document click the open button to select the file the next step in attaching this additional file is to fill in either the category or the description the drop down arrow here shows my options for the category i'm going to just type in amendment to the matrix as a description click on add to list make sure that your file shows up in the add to list box at this point you can browse and attach an additional file or you can click on next to continue forward the filing fee is presented here click next a reminder concerning the filing fee for this amended document is presented here the filing of this pleating requires a fee the fee is to be paid the same day the pleading is filed you should notify the court immediately if you are having a problem paying the fee online the phone numbers to reach the clerk's office are presented here otherwise if the fee is not received the court will strike the pleading and you will be locked out of the system the event we selected allows us to amend schedules d e and or f so in this free text box you are to type in the schedule or the schedules being amended if i was amending schedules d and e i could enter them like this click next another reminder tells us that you must edit the fields on the next screen related to the schedules being amended you must also attach the summary of assets and liabilities which is the summary of schedules it would be either 106 sum or 206 sum this should be included with your amendment click the next button update the fields on this screen as appropriate based on the amendment to the schedules that you are filing today click the next button to continue the reminder here tells us to file a declaration or verification for this amendment be sure to file the appropriate form also if adding creditors you must file an amended matrix and certificate of mailing if adding new creditors go to creditor maintenance and enter new creditors please see the module on uploading creditors if you need help with this step we have an additional note when adding creditors only the new creditors should be added with this amendment do not list the original creditors so if i'm adding two creditors to this bankruptcy my amended matrix filed for today would only have two creditors on it with their names and addresses only click next the reminder here states to be sure to file the declaration and the certificate of mailing with this amendment click next you're presented with the free text box here to add additional information should this be necessary the attachment that i added as a second file is listed here if any of this information appears incomplete or incorrect you can stop this process by clicking on bankruptcy and starting over click next the text appears as how it will show on the docket report again if any of this information appears incomplete or incorrect nothing has been filed with the court and you can make corrections at this time once you click on the next button no further corrections can be made unless you file an additional amended document be sure to file the redaction rules click next the pay screen appears to make payment for my amendment to schedules payments should be made the same day that this document was filed you can click on pay now to go ahead and take care of that payment or you can click on continue filing to make a payment later in the day as long as you make payment the same day be sure to either click pay now or continue filing and never use the x in the right hand corner to close this screen also make sure that you do not have a pop-up blocker turned on or this screen may not be seen if you have a pop-up blocker you'll want to make sure and add an exception for pay.gov and usquartz.gov for today's filing i'm going to click on continue filing if you need help on how to make payment be sure to see the module on making your payment the notice of electronic filing is presented here for my amendment to the schedule dne and also for the amendment to the matrix my notice of electronic filing shows that this is document number six in this sample bankruptcy case i also see for this at the bottom of the notice of electronic filing you will see the names of those that are set up to receive electronic notice there is also a list of those that will not receive electronic notice make sure that you file all the necessary documents when you file any amendment to the schedule or amendment to the matrix call the court clerk's office if you have any questions
