how's it going folks welcome back to another video in this one we're talking about how to onboard clients properly within your social media marketing agency or smma now an onboarding process is basically just the process of bringing someone on board your company so once they pay the invoice they are started in the onboarding process and this is really make or break the reason you need a good onboarding process is because if you don't have one people are going to be very unimpressed and it sets the precedence for the entire relationship if you do have one they're going to be impressed they're going to want to continue to work with you and the same is true it sets the precedent for the entire relationship so whether it's good or bad you've got to start out on the right foot and that's why your onboarding process is so important from the client's perspective now from your perspective as an agency owner if you don't have the systematized gonna be a nightmare this is why people say you should be in one niche because when you have one niche you have one set of campaigns you run for that niche you don't have to worry about 50 different things that you're collecting from this client and 50 different things different than those already different things that you're collecting from this client when you have one type of client and you run one type of campaign for that client you'll be much more successful in your onboarding process so let's get into it the first thing you have to understand guys is sales and onboarding are inextricably linked there's no way you can get these two to separate because the expectations you set on the sales call the way the sales process goes sets you up for the onboarding process so a while ago i'll give you an example i was working with np excel which is a marketing agency here in utah's neil patel excel they're an seo agency this was a couple years ago i was signing up for the business i was working for at the time and i said hey i want to get you know i don't even know what i did i think i submitted a form on their website they called me and this guy named noah calls and he's like hey we'd love to get you on board he's kind of like building rapport with me trying to do sales he sends the invoice i end up paying the invoice and he says all right now you've paid the invoice i'm transferring you to your account manager and this is the person that's going to manage everything from this point on i won't really talk to you anymore but it's been great getting to know you that's how most businesses work when it comes most agencies they're going to have a sales department and they're going to have account management department...
