[Music] uh [Music] um [Music] my [Music] hmm [Music] so foreign [Music] oh [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] we were the first people in the city to be able to do in-house testing our amazing lab can do in-house testing for our own patients our own employees and that has made all the difference since covet 19 started we've had to be really creative in sourcing ppe our team is working around the clock to try to ensure we have those supplies i've been blown away with how well our team has responded to the challenge of this event goal is uh save life i should like seeing all these people rally around today [Music] excitement [Music] [Music] you definitely have to be passionate about working here all the babies in the nicu respiratory therapy touches every single one for them to be able to watch their child that they did not know that was gonna take their next breath to be walking across the room it's a pretty big accomplishment and to say that we've been part of it is [Music] amazing [Music] so [Music] is [Music] greetings nationwide children's hospital staff families and friends welcome and thank you for joining us as we recognize and celebrate our 2020 honorees my name is angela mingo your mistress of ceremonies is we go on the journey together during this special program and now please welcome our chief executive officer tim robinson we have all experienced a year like none we've seen before and even though we can't be together for our annual celebration of the nationwide children's team it seems more important than ever that we take this opportunity to appreciate what you do every day we are celebrating 787 staff members for milestone anniversaries representing more than thirteen thousand years of total service amazingly the longest tenured people we will be recognizing began here 45 years ago before central ohio could imagine anything like the place nationwide children's has become really before anyone in the country could have envisioned a place like this if this is your first time being celebrated at this annual recognition it means you began here 10 years ago and have helped nationwide children's through the most transformative decade in our history it takes just a glance at our campus to see what we have become since you first arrived here there are certain individuals we are honoring as well each has gone above and beyond distinguishing themselves with their service to our patients and their support of their colleagues you'll hear more about each of them coming up in this video every person we are celebrating all 787 of you has built a place so strong that even a global pandemic couldn't stop us from thriving you have all faced challenges that you couldn't have imagined 12 months ago nationwide children's has been through a period that has tested us in unexpected ways still you have put children and families first...
