Add esign Christmas Gift Certificate

hi it's gail the plane and girl welcome back to my channel it's 50 days till christmas i'm super excited about that and today i want to share not only updating my planner with you but also a little gift card idea so let's go to cards and gifts for 2020 and i've decided to get gift cards for my teenaged nephews and niece i've actually already gotten a gas card for my nephew and it's already wrapped and i think for my younger nephew it'll be an itunes card and for my niece she likes old navy so i think we'll get her whoops well it's the same thing they're all gift cards old navy card so that's all set i haven't made any other purchases yet so i'm going to scooch this off to the side and let me show you this gift card so i got this idea from angie at chickenscratch.com and i've actually already made a few of them and i'm going to put another one together for you today and i'll just show you if you have a gift card it just slips right in there and this can be mailed in a regular sized invitation envelope so what you need is a sheet of cardstock card stock of course is eight and a half by eleven you cut it at four and a quarter and then you want to score it at two and a half inches and five and a half inches the two and a half inch score is going to give you the pocket and the five and a half inch score is going to help make the card so now it's five and a half by four and a quarter which is the standard card size you'll also need some decorative paper so i found this presence paper and it matches really well last time i did candy canes on red and this is on like a pink so you need a decorative paper that will fit here nicely and this piece of paper is four by two and three quarters so and when you cut it if your design goes a specific way which actually um i think this design could go either way and look nice because the presents go either way but i prefer it to be this way and we're just gonna attach this here with a little tombow i just want to center it so it looks nice you can see i need a new blade because my paper starting to get little bits on it okay so that'll be the front you also need a piece of 3x3 and a piece that is four inches by one and a quarter you need some white paper this particular piece is five and a quarter by four and then you need a two and a quarter by two and a quarter square excuse me three and a quarter by three and a quarter square and that way this can layer now what i did with my first card is i made the decorative paper the three by three square three sorry three and a quarter by three and a quarter square and i made my white paper the three by three square so i could add a note on the front for this particular card i thought i'd switch it up a little bit so i'm gonna attach these just centering there we go and i'm gonna attach this now for this particular card i am not going to stamp the greeting on the interior this little slim one and a quarter by four goes here and you want to line it up on your white so it matches because when you close your card that's how it's going to look and they're a little fuzzy all right so as i said you would stamp your greeting here towards the left so that it's hidden although this piece is going to go here so if you go a little bit into the white just kind of eyeball and see but how do you make this pocket you would run a narrow bead of liquid glue here if you wish you could use your tombow and run it along the edge and flick the tape back up but i prefer a stronger tape and at my joanne i can buy this narrow tape that some people call it red line tape because it has a red plastic backing and you just want to run it right along the edge here there's also a white backed tape that is able to tear you don't have to cut it and i use that sometimes too but i grabbed this today and i came upstairs so i'm just going to add a little bit of the adhesive here it doesn't have to go the full length here but most of the length and then you just want to peel the backing off these little red plastic bits are not my favorite which is why i've moved to the paper tape but i still have this last little bit left and i'm using it up on some projects so just fold this over and smooth it down and now you have a spot for your gift card isn't that fun now if you wanted to you could decorate this side again you need a greeting here if you desire you're going to close this up and you're going to add this piece here just to kind of finish off the gift card holder but you only want glue on this side you don't want to glue this down or the person would have to tear the card apart so keeping that in mind i'm just going to add some adhesive on the left center it and there we go a gift card i'm actually going to use this gift card holder uh for my daughter for her birthday and mail her off um a gift card so i'm going to add a little happy birthday here and a greeting in here but there is the other gift card that i made here i flip-flopped the colorful paper and the white and i already added my greeting and that's what's nice about the paper being double-sided you can see a pretty pattern on both sides this side will just
