[Music] it's the end of class you've just wrapped up a really good day of instruction and learning now it's time to put a bow on that class to help students to really lock in that learning for the next day in the future but also to gather some data to find out how that learning went what you need is an exit ticket this is going to help you gather that data and to see what students have learned for the day and there are lots and lots of options for doing that I'm Matt Miller from ditch that textbook and in this video we're going to talk about for digital exit ticket ideas that you can use in class tomorrow [Music] so the first one is socrata v' you can find it by going to soccer tip comm socrata vis a super simple super easy to use site that lets you gather information from your students so you can ask them a quick short answer question you can ask them some multiple-choice questions or soccer ative even has an exit ticket option built into it it'll ask the same three questions how well did you understand what did you learn and it'll give an option for the teacher to give one more question and so by just clicking that exit ticket button socrata makes it really easy to gather some of that data real quickly students will get into the soccer t'v exit ticket by punching your class code into the soccer ative website it's super fast and easy and it allows you to gather all of that data really really quick another tool that makes gathering data at the end of class really really great is pear deck so you can find pear deck at pear deck calm that's PE AR Dec K calm and what pear deck will let you do is create a set of interactive slides where you're able to show the slides in the front of class but students are also able to see those slides on their own devices and as you flip through the slides students are able to interact with those slides so they're able to write a little bit of text pick a number drag a dot into the right spot on a map make a little drawing or to connect the dots so there are all of these options and pear deck even has some pre-designed slides that you can use so you don't have to create them so all the ones on the screen are some of those pre-designed ones that will make you look really good and of course at the end you're able to look through all of that data and see what students have learned another one is formative and you can find formative at goformative comm what's neat about formative is that it has all these different question types and you're able to stack those questions one by one by one into your...
