hey everyone Morgan here so I'm not going to bore you with like showing the process of how I inventory all my stuff but I did just finish inventory my food now I have a spreadsheet with all of my food on it okay and water and I also have my food menu and for you know my food storage menu but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't look at our food and water every once in a while I only look at it maybe about every six months or so I like to physically open this up and look at it I need to see if anything is damaged I need to see if anything has exploded somehow you know we can take all the precautions that we can to secure our food to make sure that it's in a secure location a cool dark place yadda yadda yadda but I don't know you you still want to make sure that you're physically looking at your food and making sure that everything is okay of course you know in your spreadsheet like as I'm inventory in the food I have my Excel open on my laptop here and and everything has an expiration date but if it's been like two years X after the expiration date or something you know canned foods and stuff I've talked about expiration dates a lot but canned foods and things as long as they're kept in good condition like as long as they're kept in cool dry places they're not moved around a lot that kind of thing um you know they're not abused or not dropped all that kind of stuff not dented etc they can last quite a bit after the expiration date but we just want to make sure that they're lasting well after the expiration date by physically looking at it because you know it could start showing signs that it is not good you know after the expiration date in fact I'm just in my cupboard I had some expired soup it was like two years after the expiration I opened it and it was really bad it was so bad now it could have been just been like a bad production of it whatever but we need to physically look at our food and I'm not saying physically open all your food and stuff like that but I'm just saying you know use your best judgement if you think that this food needs to be moved into your normal food that's really fun now another thing that we can think about is if you do not want to rotate your food into normal production of everyday eating what you can do is try to see if your local food bank might take it some food banks will take expired foods but some of them will not it's really dependent on your local food storage or food bank um you may consider just going and donating it to...
