hello friends welcome back to my channel i have had a couple of requests for a video on how i keep a pantry and freezer inventory and i would call my system kind of the lazy way of doing it it is very detailed it is complete but i don't um there's not a lot of fuss involved so i'm just going to take you through and show you what i do i have gone grocery shopping for the month and so now it is time to inventory everything and carry over everything that was still in the pantry in the freezer from last month so i have my planner right here to the side and i'm just going to show you what i do here is my planner i use this for budgeting and also for my meal planning and so this little tab right here is for budgeting and then this little tab right here is for meal planning so um i have my menu for august here and then on the next two pages i just keep it really simple this is my pantry inventory with four columns this is my freezer inventory and then the very first step that i do as i go back to last month's freezer and pantry inventory and i just carry over everything that is still in there you can see i've crossed items out as i've used them and so that is going to be my very first step yes she all right this is what it looks like after i uh transferred everything over you could easily do this on the computer and just you know not have to rewrite it but i just really prefer having it in a notebook okay so now here is where the lazy way comes in i'm sitting here in my chair relaxing i saved my grocery receipts so i have aldi this month i did aldi sam's club and walmart those are the places i went to and so i'm just gonna sit here and when i come across food that's in the pantry or the freezer then i am going to write it on this list and then i will go i have digital receipts for the other ones and i will do the same exact thing um so i'm not actually going to the pantry and looking and seeing what's in it i'm just doing it with my receipt oh just take my hand i have been through all of my receipts and i have my completed inventory and so i thought i would just um take a minute to talk about what i actually keep inventory of and why so i sometimes i will keep a freeze or a refrigerator inventory but i'm in and out of the refrigerator so much that i don't really need to do that um but now that i have the refrigerator downstairs in the basement that might be something that i do because...
