today I wanted to talk to you guys about only [Music] hi guys if some of that okay Enzo come welcome back to my channel it's all about all things mondays yes yes I know that it's a boring topic I know I know I know but it's a very very important topic if you don't want to get yourself in so regardless what you think that is what you want things your auntie your cousin I don't care what any of these people think muddling is a business where there's businesses contracts and regulations is rule that you know laws and legislations that you have to follow so I'm working this video down into four main topics and of course I've got the actual documentation okay I'm gonna show you guys on the screens won't you turn on my opinion these are just research that is already out there and I've just been able to get all this information together for the past three years I have in London so this is directly from UK so muchi or check it out I'm gonna leave the link in the description box as well so in simple terms copyright equals ownership if the photographer is a freelancer they own the image okay so the copyright owner is the person that takes the picture even if they use someone else's device to take the picture so one exception is when the photography actually working under another company for example I don't know if the photographer works for Canon then panin will be the copyright owner so the second thing to note is GFP GFP stands for time for print basically you in exchange for pictures you give the photographer your time pretty much also known as you know test shoots collaboration is creative shoot collaborative shoot all that it's all the same thing if you are shooting with a photographer under a TFP basis the entire creative team would be able to use this for portfolio basis only so they would be able to put it on their website or Instagram or whatever you know portfolio website that they have so let's talk about commission based for issues so I know you're probably thinking as I'm gonna pay the photographer to you know build up a portfolio etc and people thinking surely you must earn the pictures right and you actually don't own anything so you don't own any of the pictures and a common mistake that people make is that when they pay the photographer they think they are paying for the pictures no you are paying for the service you are paying for the photographer's time not the big joke okay you've done all the pictures I'm gonna eat up to these I understand that you don't earn anything of course you can buy the rights to add these picture than to own these pictures well that is an entire package in its own or you can own your rights...
