so guys today i wanted to talk to you about exclusive contract versus non-exclusive contract let's go hi guys my name is ahmad if you are new here welcome if you are returning subscribers thank you for being here thank you for joining me once again if you watched this video already i talked about the four different types of contracts just a quick recap we have mother agency exclusive non-exclusive and one time only contracts okay in today's video i wanted to break down exclusive and non-exclusive so obviously once you get signed the ideal situation would be to be signed and get booked every week if possible okay that is the ideal situation but in most cases that isn't the situation for everyone okay so i don't want you guys to see an exclusive contract and run away from it no because you have to remember everything is based on your own situation and what you are currently you know what space you are currently in so to be quite frank an exclusive contract might actually be perfect for you and i'm gonna break that down a bit more as i go along so like i said everything depends on case by ck situation but i do want to talk about the pros and cons of having both these contracts so that you guys can make an informed decision whether or not you want to sign first pro about having an exclusive contract is that in most cases notice i said most not all in most cases when you are exclusive with an agency they are more likely to push you forward they know that no one else has got your attention they will push you more a con about signing an exclusive contract what if you don't get jobs what if you're assigned to an agency and you're not getting jobs because you guys remember i said in this video that it does take time but you've been with them for a while now and you're not you know brought you're not getting any jobs literally dry dead what happens then the things that you have to put into consideration when you are making your decision but to be quite honest with you you won't know this until you probably signed the contract oh no you don't know how busy you're going to be i remember they can't guarantee you anything so it's almost like what do i do what do i do so let's talk about non-exclusive contracts right having multiple agencies obviously can be great one agency that markets you to a specific type of shoot so maybe you're more commercial shoots and then you can have another agency that you know pushes you towards more fashion shoots that's great that's amazing but even that has its cons so i'm going to talk about that with you right now so the first con is that there will be at some point when you have multiple agencies you're going to get conflicts your jobs will eventually clash the days that they want you to be on set will eventually clash right and this leads me to my experience one agency messaged me oh i'm skinny no no i'm i'm with that he please pencil in the first and the second of october couple of days later they messaged me saying i got booked for the first and second two different brands by the way first and second the other agency messages me oh that you've got a booking first and second guys i was so mad oh i i wasn't even mad at anyone i was just pissed if it wasn't that the days you know clashed that could have been four bookings that i would have done which means more more money and i think i was even more mad because the book came from you know this agency it was a high fashion brother i can't say the name since i didn't get the book in but it was a huge huge huge huge huge brand so you can imagine how pissed i was and for that whole week i was just really really upset at myself even though it wasn't my fault you know i just happened to get booked on both days by both agencies but it wasn't my fault and this is what i talk about making sure you plan out your shoots and just make sure that you let your agency know when you're available or unavailable because you know this this sucks at times it is the case that you can't do it because you've been booked or you've been pencilled in by this you know agency i know a model we worked together sometime last year and we were just talking she told me she's a full-time model and she told me that she has about six to seven agencies that she works with and i'm just like how how how that is one of the biggest cons of having multiple agencies it leaves you in a weird position because you're like oh but what do i do you know i mean yes to one agency saying no to another agency and vice versa you know eventually so yeah so put these things in consideration when you are signing a contract whether it's exclusive non-exclusive just think about all these things that i'm saying because there are pros and cons to both of it you know your situation will really determine whether or not you stand on an exclusive or uh you know non-exclusive contracts here to bring you guys the facts whatever decision you decide to make that's on you at the end of the day but if you do sign a non-exclusive contract do you have the capacity to you know have this agency pulling you from one side this agency pulling you from the other side are you in school you do multiple agencies are you in a full-time job can you do multiple agencies so think about these things before you get you know super excited and start signing like six seven agencies and obviously i'm not here to tell you what contract to sign and what contract not to sign i personally wouldn't even give like a definitive answer to that i was speaking to someone on ig about this you know who you are hello everyone is different so it depends on you know your situation i feel like i've said that like three times now in this video but i think you guys get the point of the video okay so whichever one you do sign just make sure that you read it okay read your contracts you can get someone to look at it get someone to look at it especially now agencies are you know sending contracts um electronically so get a lawyer to read they get you someone that is you know good with that kind of situation get them to read it as well and make sure that you are putting
