I shall pour a glass it is probably unlikely when you go out  looking more mates that you're going to   find anything that was bottled  under Cask 386 but no worries   because there's another bottling from a single  Cask from the signatory range of edrador Along   on a regular basis so if you miss one you'll  certainly get the other and the reason I am   considering this an official modeling is because  signatory owns edrador are to be exact the owner   of signatory owns edrador now they may well  be registered as separate businesses but   for all intents and purposes they are under  one umbrella and that umbrella is that an   independent bottler owns a Distillery this is not  an unusual situation because you have Sig Spring   Bank Distillery owning Kayden heads independent  bottles you have Gordon and mcphill owning benromic Distillery and just shortly you will  have North Star owning a Distillery down in   Campbelltown as well so you have this sort of  meeting in the middle between official bottlers   and independent bottlers but when the Whiskey's  coming from the same warehouse and is getting   mottled in the same modeling plant well it  becomes a gray area and I think for convenience   and for points of reference and certainly from  my perspective one should consider independent   bottlings of an official bottling Distillery as  one in the same so if signatory bottle and edrador   essentially it's a Distillery bottling  and if Gordon mcphail bottle of benrumah   under their range or one of their ranges  essentially that's an official bottling   it's only a really an independent bottling  if the bottlers do not own or have commercial   interests in a Distillery and are there therefore  buying on the secondary Market either direct from   The Distillery from out of the distilleries  warehouses or from intermediaries in other   words wholesalers who buy thousands of casks from  lots of distilleries and hold them in a central   bonding warehouse and keep them for a number  of years or just sell them straight on to thug   party customers also known as private investors  or independent modelers there you go nobody said   it was going to be simple mates Scotch whiskey is  only simple...
