hey guys it's kay today i'm going to be showing you how to sell invitation templates on etsy so if you haven't done that before stick around until the end i'm going to be showing you how to share your templates with canva pro and the free of canva although i highly highly highly recommend canva pro if you want a free trial the link for that is down below in my description um and if you don't know who i am my name is kay zane i talk about passive income on this channel growing and starting a etsy principal shop and talk about entrepreneurial mindset because i think that is also super important but anyway enough of that let's dive in all right guys so obviously the first step in selling a invitation template is to design the actual invitation so i went ahead and i pulled up an invite that i've already made these are evites like the electronic invitations not the actual ones that you will print out i like the text invitations better because it's just less headache like you know you won't have any customers come to you with like printing issues or anything i always try to make my life as simple as possible so i prefer to make evites and so to make a digital invitation the size you're going to need is 1080 by 1920 pixels so yeah just open canva up create a custom size of 1080 by 1920 pixels and you will get this size that is like good for most smartphones and so yeah go ahead and create your design this is mine i made a gender reveal invite um so after you're done with that the first thing i want you to do is download the picture as a png that will be your first step the second thing we're going to need to create a file to actually share the canva template link with the customer because the customer is going to click on the link and then come to canva and edit them there like edit it themselves so next if you have canva pro which like i said i highly recommend i will never stop telling people how much i love canva um you're gonna come to share if you have canva pro and then share a link to use as a template and copy that link next up we're going to go back we're going to open up a new design so create a new design we need an 8.5 by 11 so printer paper size open that up all right so now we're going to have our nice blank white template and so when you're doing canva templates you're going to need to send the customer the actual link and then you also need to give the customer some instructions because people might have never used canva before and so they're going to need some help and so try to avoid getting...
