hi everyone today we've got a quick hack to show you how you can add more than one owner to any hubspot record welcome to hubspot hacks where we help you get more out of hubspot [Music] having multiple owners on a hubspot record is perfect if you have multiple people involved in the sales process so let's say you've got an account executive and a sales engineer that are collaborating on an account or you have an sdr that wants to make a smooth handoff for a contact from them to the account executive this is a critical step if you have your permission set up in a way that people can only access the account records that they have ownership on and it's as simple as adding a new property to those records so let's dive in all right now we are in our hubspot portal taking a look at our contact record for mr bob belcher here so bob already has his contact owner set to myself but let's say i need to collaborate with ali on my team as part of the sales process but we have our permissions set up in a way that everybody on our team can only view or edit the contacts that they own so right now i want to be able to continue to own the record for bob but i want to add ali to be able to own it as well so to do that we're going to hop over to our settings by clicking this gear icon and click on properties and you can do this for any type of record or object inside of hubspot so contact company deal any custom objects you have added but today we're just going to do it on the contact level so i'm going to click create property and for group we're going to say contact information you can call this whatever you'd like we'll just keep it simple for today honor 2 hit next and for field type you're going to want to select hubspot user at the bottom here now we're going to click create so now the property is created for us but we want to be able to see it in that sidebar the same way we see the other owner property so i'm going to go to contact settings click on the record customization tab and click on the link for choose properties for default sidebar then we'll click on edit on a little sidebar that comes up and find the property that we just created so owner two clicking that little check box there added it to our list at the bottom of the list here but let's say we want to nestle that up under the other contact owner properties we'll just drag and drop it there hit save and let's go take a look at bob belcher's contact record again all right so now we've got this owner two property and if...
