[Music] this video will explain how to create a rights deal on pub match first thing you'll need to do is log in to your personal dashboard click on title management click on my book titles select the title you'd like to create the rights deal for click on the Edit icon button click on number 3 rights available you'll want to select the country or language that you would like to create the rights deal for we're going to select Spanish or Spain as the language as an example click on add rights this is where you will indicate all the terms of the rights deal which will automatically be embedded in the contract if the right is sold the first thing you will see is world exclusive and world non-exclusive if you choose world exclusive that means the buyer will be able to settle the Spanish language rights globally which would include all of Latin America Spain Mexico and wherever the Spanish language is spoken world non-exclusive means that you are selling the Spanish rights to a particular country like Spain or Peru the benefit of doing a non-exclusive deal is that you would be able to sell the Spanish rights to any number of countries individually let's choose world non-exclusive as an example and indicate Spain as the country were selling to payment type flat fee or advanced royalty flat fee is exclusive to pub match here you would offer a flat fee or advanced with a print run no royalty and most importantly no negotiation it is a click and buy these types of deal would be used for lower pricepoint countries like China India Bulgaria the Middle East etc using flat feed right sales would also be good for backless titles that are no longer being actively sold for rights advance royalty is normally for negotiated right sales which means a buyer would come back with a counteroffer let's choose advance and royalty for this example we're going to include 8 percent as the royalty and the copy sold is the initial print run that is being entered into the contract royalty rate 2 & 3 are for subsequent contracts and for the most part you can keep those blank amount to be paid this is the advance based on the print run that you are indicating let's say the the advance on the print run is going to be a thousand dollars if you have a rights contact an agent that is exclusive to this title you can include that person here if not leave it blank you'll want to include the format's yourself for this example we're going to use ball print and ebook the duration of the contract normally writes contracts can be between 1 and 10 years but most are between 2 & 5 years let's select the duration as 3 years select the country of origin if we are from the US we're going to say the US any additional information you could put here you want to save and close you've just created the sale for Spanish language rights for this particular title to see this on the front end click the book we just created the right steel for and you can see that if somebody wanted to buy the rights you would select the language Spanish Spanish language and you would buy the rights you would accept the terms and conditions and you would either buy now or make an offer I cannot buy or make an offer on my own title so I can't go any further than this but we will have a video on how to buy rights on pub match so be sure to watch that video after this [Music]
