oh there's no that's what she said moment [Music] [Applause] [Music] what's up guys if Li here we're gonna learn some stuff today because of the amount of requests I've had for it today I'm going to show you exactly how I make my custom registration marks in Adobe Illustrator the reason why I came up with and use these registration marks is because I feel like there's a lot more information for my eye to pick up since everything is a straight line so it makes everything a lot easier to tell if there's anything crooked going on if things are lined up properly it makes registration to help a lot faster a lot easier which in the end makes you a better screen printer but yeah this is super easy to do anyone can do this even if you've never opened Adobe Illustrator in your entire life so let's get into it so the first thing we're gonna do obviously is open up Adobe Illustrator and we are gonna go over here to create a new project now we're gonna set this up as a template so that we can just open it up anytime we need to and copy and paste our work into it so in my case my films are 13 by 19 so we're gonna go over here to where it says pixels we're gonna change this over to inches we're gonna change our width to 13 I to 19 we're gonna go down here to the Advanced Options where it says color mode we're gonna change that to CMYK color because that's what your output printer is going to print in and raster effects we want to leave at 300 PPI because that's the highest quality you can get and create next we're gonna need a small amount of tools to build our registration marks our selection tool or V on your keyboard our pen tool or P on your keyboard our rectangle tool or M on your keyboard our align panel Pathfinder panel and our stroke controls which can be found at the top toolbar or on the right side workspace depending on how you're set up and if for some reason you don't see any or some of those panels you just go up here to window and open up any single one of those things and then drag and drop it into your right side workspace now if your Mac user like me and you have one of these beautiful little bastards those are the only tools you're gonna need but if not you need two more tools the hand tool which is H on your keyboard which you just grab and drag and move your little workspace around and the zoom tool which you just click and drag to be able to zoom in and out with if you have the trackpad set up you can just pinch and zoom and swipe around just like you would on your...
