hi there hirestaff.com here in this video i want to show you how to schedule shift-based staff weekly in excel this is free template that we have created to give you a very simple customizable schedule that will help you out with your day-to-day tasks to start scheduling go to the infosheet tab where you can enter employee names in column e just to give you an example i will enter two names and um positions in column f um so let's say for the restaurant that could be wait staff and chef assist okay um and as soon as you're done you can go back to the weekly schedule tab to start scheduling your stuff um you can enter the range of dates in the cell c3 so in this case that would be 31st august and september 6. you can choose your preferred start of the week in the cell c six that could be wednesday for example as you can see um the days of the week are changing automatically um in the cell d8 you could choose another start date that could be for example let's do september 3 and as you can see the dates changed automatically too you can already see your employee names the same names that you've entered before they will be reflected in the employee column and um let me enlarge the sheet for you if you go to the role cells you will see the roles that you've entered before so you can choose you can choose them here like so now you can start scheduling and the first thing you want to do is you want to set shift start and end time from the drop down in each cell let me show you um how it looks so let's say this employee can start at 7 a.m and i don't know till 3 30 and on friday you can also choose whatever time you prefer and shift hours will be displayed on top every time when you enter your start and end time so you will be completing the same process for each day for each employee and column r shows you the total hours everyone has done in a week and um you can also see that row 55 has total labor hours um so you can get that type of information here and i guess that's it very easy very simple and to make a copy of your weekly schedule to start afresh you just go and right click on the weekly schedule tab choose move or copy create a copy you can do move to the end okay and now you have the same copy of your schedule um you can prepare multiple copies of an empty um template in advance if you want and i guess that's about it the template is available to download for free the details are in the description box down below and in the comments i would appreciate if...
