[Music] we're gonna continue making some customizations to our emails more specifically to our reply messages using the mail page in the backstage view let's get that opened up now that we have our mail page opened up we'll need to scroll down a little ways to find the replies and forwards section here it is let's take a look at some of our options we can open replies and forwards in a new window you can also choose to close the original message window and reply in our 480 this option requires a great memory I for one like to have the original message to reference as I respond you could also choose to preface comments with your name I want to narrow down and focus on what to do when replying and forwarding messages here let's take a look at the types of options we have the default here is to include original message text the next option is do not include original message this way you save space because there is less text but if the person you're responding to can't remember what he or she emailed you about in the first place this option could in turn create a problem we have the option to attach original message this option like the last cuts back on the text in the message but does require the attachment be opened in order to view the original message we can also choose to include an indent original message text many find indenting makes it easier to differentiate where the original message ends and the reply starts so this may be a nice option lastly we can add a prefix line to the side of the reply this also makes seen where their reply starts easy to spot because it adds a line to the side of the message I'm going to go ahead and add an indent to the reply messages the options for forwarding a message include the options we just discussed I will also choose to add an indent when 40 messages and then click OK to show you what this looks like I will respond to an email i received from sally this morning thanks Ally see you tomorrow Kim before I send this notice down here that there's the indent we just set up I'll click send [Music]
