morning everybody um it's me again and this morning i want to talk about validating your life what do you do to add value to your life last night i had a conversation with somebody regarding art and i've got two pieces of art that on a mandatory level are quite valuable and at this stage i was thinking of getting rid of them one is on my face and the other self-portrait of the artist face and yeah as i was talking to the person i actually started developing uh emotional attachment to it and i i realized that the the significance of the painting far exceeds the monetary value that i can get for it at the same time i was quite flabbergasted at the price she was she mentioned to me and even though i knew the paintings were worth something i didn't think they're worth that much and it just made me question as to how much am i worth how much what am i worth if i have to put a monetary value to my life what would i be worth what would i be worth to myself what would i be worth to other people and i think i think of elon musk the the founder of tesla in america while he was in pak town i wonder if he ever thought that he might be the third richest man in the world was it ever like something that he aspired to be or that it just happened because he followed his passion and he gave what he thought was his best and often in life i think we validate ourselves through possessions through relationships through work through whatever and is that good enough is that is that all there is to it and i don't know for me i think i validate myself when i'm creative um when i when i leave something for the next generation when when there's something a footprint that i leave and very often it's a labor of love as i said before it's it's something that i put a lot of effort into it's something that um over the years i've acquired a certain skill to be able to share it and i just want to say to you this morning that the value you put in yourself ultimately determines how you perceive the world and if you if you think nothing of yourself if you think nothing of of where you are at what you're going through everything is important regardless of where you find yourself um yeah everything is important your your your life is justified by you being you um there's no other reason for you being here and and i i think of of the inaugurational speech of mr mandela is that you do the world no favors by acting small and we act small because we don't believe in ourselves because we don't see the potential and sometimes we've got an over-exaggerated sense of worth like a narcissistic viewpoint of ourselves and that also de-evaluates who you are as a person i think the reality for me um is that i'm just going to reiterate that again and i want to show you that for me you don't have to be somebody that is like famous or that is out there you can be everyday you can be ordinary and for me this is me this is this is where i am as you can see i'm in my workbench all right and my techniques and i've got a message and messages messages about messages that yeah regardless of who and what you are how you see yourself you are you are you are an attribute you are you contribute to the well-being of everybody around you but that can only happen if you start believing in yourself and that's it that's a difficult process because very often we look at our past mistakes or and and we think that i'm not good enough um it can never happen and it's not necessarily a a a real thinking process it's it's more ingrained slow over the time process that takes place and the only person that can change that is you a couple of weeks ago i posted on my facebook page watch the miracle that's about to happen and i do believe that there's a miracle taking place in me sharing my videos with you um it might not be like uh you know tim robbins or the the motivational speakers that you guys are accustomed to but i i connect to a different kind of audience i think i connect to to people that are real um people that aren't caught up in the the superficial stuff of the world and the superficial stuff of the world is is the decorations we have in our life it's the work it's the money not that i i got a problem with money i just don't have enough but um yeah it's everything else it's the it's the cars it's the furniture it's the house it's our kids are doing at school we we judge ourselves according to external things and uh we we put value in our lives based on those things and if you are somebody that is as aged that has gone through life and you ask them what is really important and they'll tell you it's it's relationships it's love and it's it's it's it's finding peace within yourself and maybe for me um that is that is what i'm aspiring to do i want i i want to find peace i want to find contentment in in the fact that i'm here yeah now and there's nowhere else i can be life life has seasons life's life changes and with that the only thing that remains consistent is who you are as a person is regardless of regardless of what it is that's happening in your life your outlook on that determines your peace of mind and the easiest way to change that is to believe that yeah you you're a blessing to others you are a blessing to yourself and i haven't touched on religion as such um i would like to i'm just so scared that uh you know it's gonna offend some people maybe and it's gonna push some people away because people have people i have different perspectives on that but one of the verses in the bible that stands out for me is jeremiah 61 i think okay i know the plans i have for you says the lord plans to prosper you and give you good health and if if if god i'm going to call it universe for now has those sort of plans for you why why are you worrying why is stressing i know it's human but yeah there's a bigger picture at player and the bigger picture at play is you can only ever be the best you and that that is what we should strive for that's what we should uh try and and uh obtain in life is that at the end of it all we can say i lived life and what a great life it's been so yeah have yourself a great day and once again don't be afraid to go out go big go big or go home um go go and be large go go and be somebody that you proud to be when you go lie down tonight in your bed you can say i did it and i know you can because i'm trying so if i'm trying you try have a great day
