what's up internet josh here with another edition of some dogs tech tip bits and bytes web video series where we're going to give you a bit of information and at the end we'll give you the whole bite in this episode we're going to be looking at outlook signatures and how to add social media to the bottom of your signature to generate clicks to those sites let's get started all right guys let's do this so we're going to go into an untitled message here in outlook and you're going to go ahead and see my pretty basic to signature um we're gonna go to signatures here and you can see my different kinds but these these little images here what you want to pay attention to so these link to all of sundog's respective social media accounts now this is effective in in many ways it's going to drive traffic to you all of your sites um so people have the option to click click these little links at the bottom and the more people that interact with your brand the more marketing opportunities that you're going to have in the future so it's a really really great idea to add these uh to the bottom of your signature and make sure that they're this specific signature is in new messages and replies and forwards so that you're getting the maximum amount of exposure so i'm going to go ahead and show you how to do that really quick so i'm going to go back to my sample one and this is the one without any um any links at the bottom here so i'm going to go into social media icons you can see i just googled it at the top left here and these icons are too big so i just want to give you guys an example too big we're going to go to these here a lot smaller and if you are familiar with the snipping tool you will be able to go ahead and just snip these bad boys straight out uh and you can see that there's circles and there's squares so i guess it just depends on what kind of person you are so i'm not going to save that i've already i already have plenty of of those images saved but you would want to snip each individual one of these and then save them into your documents or wherever you want to save them to so i'm going to go ahead and exit out of that and we're straight back into the outlook message signatures here and i'm in my sample one and i'm gonna go ahead and click this little picture icon all the way on the right boom i'm gonna select um the one that i want uh we can we can do instagram i'm sorry linkedin and i added it in the wrong spot um so you don't want to add it at the top because that looks ugly so we're going to go back in here and we have a nice little circle image of linkedin but first we need to add the hyperlink to it because if you don't add any hyperlink then people are just going to click an image and there's nothing nothing happens you know so we're gonna go in here and you're gonna i'm sorry you're gonna click this little web link thing at the bottom here make sure that you have your desired address link copied to your clipboard i'm going to go ahead and paste the link here now if you notice that i didn't click the linkedin image at the bottom so what this is going to do is add the link just really ugly yeah you don't want that um i purposefully did this so you really want to make sure that you click on this first so you don't get confused and then you add it in and so now this is linked to sun dogs i'm gonna click okay to show you guys this is now linked to sundog's linkedin um page and i'm gonna go ahead and right click it and open the link and so this is what just popped up here and we're viewing this as a member because it was a members link um and so when you send this they won't have to right click it to open the link they will just be able to click it but since i'm in since i'm sending the message the link doesn't work that way you're gonna have to i mean i could control click it but they won't have to control click either they could just click it um it's really really useful that way um so you're gonna go ahead and just repeat that process for every single social media um image that you want in there and then you have to make sure that you link them don't do too many though you don't want to clutter your signature with like nine or ten uh images with links because then they don't know which one to click it's just yeah it's too much um guys thank you guys so much for watching if you guys really enjoyed this video uh we do have our monthly webinar posted in the link below um this webinar is on microsoft onenote our uh ceo and president cohen barnes goes over how onenote can bring your company a lot of value in cementing your daily processes uh so again thank you for watching and have a great rest of your day [Music] you
