thanks for joining me with pool elementary i'm justin and today we're going to be going over the frog at ease sanitizing system a lot of our customers are moving over to this because it's so much easier than having to put in chlorine every time you use the tub so we'll just start out with it by unboxing it and showing you what we got in there and then how it works inside your box you're going to have part of your floater this would be the mineral side of the floater and then in this bag is going to be the chlorine part of the floater it's also going to come with some test strips and a bag of jumpstart which this is going to be the initial chlorine that you're going to add into the hot tub any time you drain and refill it and start up your tub so the first step before we do anything with the actual froggit ease sanitizing system is basically we're going to do a drain and refill on your tub you want to start out with fresh water just so everything's in good order before we start a new system and with that first thing you're gonna do is you're gonna open up your test strips that came with your frog at ease and you're gonna dunk these in about six inches for one to three seconds one thousand two give it a quick shake then you're going to want to compare your test strip to the comparator on the back of the bottle now that we've dunked our test strip on the back of the actual test strip bottle that comes with the frog at ease we can hold it up here and get an idea what our balance is on our water so basically you're going to want to follow all of these ideal spots on the back of this test deals for your alkalinity ph and your calcium and that's it so if your alkalinity is below uh 80 or above 120 you're gonna have to adjust it and if it's low you're gonna have to get some alkalinity increaser from your local spa store or online and add the amount that the instructions say on the back to the gallonage of your hot tub same with the ph you want the ph between 7.2 and 7.8 so you might need to add a little bit of ph up or down since you just refilled your tub total hardness same thing you want that in the ideal range of 150 to 250. so now that our tub is balanced and everything's looking good on it we can move to the next step of the frog at ease so now we're gonna take our jump start package and basically this is gonna get the initial uh amount of chlorine in the actual hot tub so it's got disinfectant going right from the start your uh add uh your...
