[Music] what's up YouTube Andy here and today I'm going to show you three awesome tips and tricks for iMessage that most people don't know about so first of all let's hop over to messages this is just the text and grab that I have with Chipotle that I've used to mess with stuff on this channel so the first one I'll show you how to add a subject line or a title line to your text messages so this is similar to like an email to as a subject line basically the same thing what you want to do is go to settings and then scroll down to messages then scroll down a little bit and turn on show subject field now I'm going to go back to I message and you can see that it's added a subject line so you can type in subject honesty this is an example text message and hit Send and you can see there's a subject line on your text message just like a bold air line on top so I don't even know like the practical use for this but maybe in some cases this could be helpful for you or you could use it to mess with people whatever you want to do tip number two um you can actually see like the specific time that a text was setting each text so right here if I scroll up you can see like some are sent at 11:33 a.m. today so that's like a time block for a group of text but you can hold down the screen and then swipe to the left and you can see the exact time the each text was sent so that's pretty cool if you want to double check when you set something or if someone else is telling you they sent something that's at a certain time you can actually check and see the specific times that each text was sent the third tip I want to show is text replacement so you could use this to change Pacific things that you're texting like shortcuts like OMG - oh my god or you could use it to mess with your friend like if you have access to your their phone you could change No - yes or yes - no or some other ridiculous phrase so I'm going to show you how to do that I'm going to go back to settings and you want to go to general then you want to scroll down to keyboard and tap on text replacement you can see I have okay changed okay in all caps and OMW changed on my way I'll show you how to add another one so tap the plus sign in the top right and then the shortcut is what they will be typing or what you will be typing so I'm just going to type yeah in the shortcut and the phrase is what it will output when they have send if they don't correct it so no and then I'm going to hit save and let's go back to text here and in the text message field I'm just going to type yes and you'll see that auto corrects didn't know right there um but usually people are typing fast when they're using phrases like this when they just hit Send and it's going to send as Mel C you can see how that could be funny to mess with people you could change it to any number of funny or crazy things to mess with your friend yeah that's all I wanted to show for this one I hope you're enjoying these videos don't forget new videos every single day thanks for watching I'll see you next time [Music] you
