have you ever wanted to add a signature line to your power app well in this video we're gonna show you how to do just that and save the results so stay tuned in this quick video we're going to add a signature line to an application inside of power apps this particular application is for an inspection app but the same thing it applied to things like an order entry to potentially is an interview app or a number of other applications also so we're going to add a signature line and then save the results to a database now that that results could go anywhere it could be gone gone to an attachment an email to go to a blob store in our case for to keep it very very simple and add it to a database as attached to the row in our database so let's take a look at the use case first of our application so first of all what you're seeing here is that our our inspection application we're going to continue an existing inspection where we were inspecting a vehicle for example now in this example we're going to hit the preview button and I'll preview the application and we're about to submit then hit complete Aldens add a signature line right here and when I click agree we're going to save this into a database now as database we're going to save this into will be right here we want to come out of the signature line to the signature column to the database and that column is a var var binary max it can also be an image column but that also is going to be deprecated in the future release a sequel server so go var var binary max and again you can store this inside of SharePoint into an email attachment on to the file system using a blob store or into the database right here typically speaking for large data sets you don't want to store that large distance my state largely I mean millions and millions of rows into a database it's not going to perform quite as well in this case we're expecting maybe tens of thousands of rows or hundreds of thousands of rows so we should be fine in this case so let's go back and as you look at our application see how we can actually integrate this in so back in our application I am going to go over to insert and go into text him put and you'll see this new input here called pin input when I slap that down and drag it right where I want it it's got some pretty neat controls that you can do for this now we're expecting people to use our fingers to to sign these documents in our case let's first give us a better name here I'll call this just ten signature there we go and a number of things you can...
