paradise there is nothing like that everyone here cares about each other and we're just one big community laurel provides a safe and caring environment for our campers the combination of our extraordinary programming our facility and our remarkably strong staff has allowed us to craft a community that takes exceptional care of each individual child let's go let's go let's move move your legs move your legs let's go great job great job anything that you could imagine they have here and they have it at the highest level it's the best of the best who's ready to get climbing your knees are going to be really bent to your chest okay let's do it whether they're down by the waterfront or they're making lifelong friendships everyone thrives here at camp what we want to do is make sure that the kids not only are having fun but they leave having grown up that's beautiful you're really encouraged to express yourself throughout whatever you do here that's awesome everyone really wants to see you succeed that's such an important part of building a sense of self keep up the good work which has such a positive impact on everything else that they do in life everything that you learned here today it's a building block and at the end of the summer you guys are going to be the best players you can be at laurel everything is done with intention our program our staff our facility are all geared to set each individual child up for success we offer our campers a well-rounded program with six core activity areas there's athletics good job buddy arts tennis an awesome adventure program equestrian in the waterfront yeah in right there perfect you get to go on trips you can climb a mountain you have the lobster from goldsport and it's really cool to explore maine with your best friend we're all one big family the important thing for our campers is to unplug i think we all have to be reminded sometimes to look up everything you could ever imagine is right here our campers are engaged they're having such a great time and they're really able to work on the passions that they've developed throughout their time at camp are you ready to have a lot of fun that's one of the greatest things about camp laurel is the campers are able to find their own voice push them right next to each other and let's melt them relief perfect really a great job the coaches and staff are amazing they're so positive they believe in us so much this is going to keep you safe as you go up four prep five take a nice big step we gotta play as hard as we possibly can the rest of this game they're experts on exactly what they're teaching us they also love to have fun everybody excited helping a child to succeed is about understanding where they are and where you want them to go so give that a couple strongs good staff really make us feel confident in ourselves it feels like i'm supported and i'm always going to get better every time i come here keep your hands back and keep your head on the ball okay nice swing great sportsmanship spirit here is just indescribable every day is non-stop action-packed fun it's insane this place is so amazing that i want to win i think my mom would miss me though at laurel college days is our version of color work this is five days fun madness and true spirit positivity and the energy is so high on a scale from one through ten everybody's so happy and energetic they just have to let it out these are things that have been a part of our history and a part of our culture for over 70 years your time is right now ladies and gentlemen your college days champions good zog [Applause] if i could describe laurel i would describe it as a family think about how you guys can be kinder than necessary everyone looks out for each other everyone immediately fits in i've met all different types of people that have really shaped me into the person that i am today there's such strong memories that you can never forget them it makes it feel like it's our home away from home i was so happy when i heard you guys got to come make smarts looks awesome jem and debbie are the directors they're like the mom and dad of the camp oh yes sir they're just like so nice and they'll be there for you yeah we can always find out a way to work it out you can tell jem and debbie love this place because they pour laurel spirit into everyone what a great shade savvy well done they're kicking around a soccer ball in the fields whether it's debbie tucking kids in at night they just dive in to make sure that every camper is having the best experience they can if you can have fun that's the most important thing the warmth the compassion the love the commitment that they have truly trickles down to everybody here our staff are incredibly invested in every single child they're always there to support us prepare them for life prepare them for life yeah it's really about that sense of ownership this is their home this is their family this is their community it is your story etched in laurel history it will be with you forever the warmth the spirit the values it becomes a part of them laurel becomes a part of the fabric of
