Add teller email
hi there amy star allen here and in today's video i want to show you guys a quick hack for being able to really really quickly and easily add images to your emails i've been watching some people painfully downloading images from wherever to their computer and then uploading them into their emails and i just want to show you a way that will save you a lot of time and keep you from having to do it that way i'm going to show you a few different examples here of you know things that you can do with images in your emails and why you would do that but let me start off by saying that anytime an image is already living somewhere on the internet you can easily put it into your email without having to download it okay so let me show you what i mean by that so when i email my list at least once a week i like to you know share something personal about what's going on in my life i like that's what i the way that i stay connected with my audience i let them into my life let them get to know me a little bit better so i'll usually write a paragraph in the beginning of my email just sharing about what's been going on with me this week and put a picture just so they have a better idea about who i am and so a lot of times what i do pretty much all the time what i do when i put these pictures into my emails is i just grab an image right off of facebook and that way i don't have to upload anything into my email i can just grab you know the link to the image that's already living on the internet in this case facebook and put it into my email so let me show you how easy this is so what i usually do is i start off my email with just a little paragraph about what's going on in my life this week or whatever so i might say something like the weather's starting to get cold here but i still go to the beach every morning with my dog this morning we had the whole beach to ourself here's a picture of us and i might want to just put this picture right into my email so all i have to do is right click on it click copy image location and any image like i said that lives on the internet is going to have an image location and that's all you need to put it into your email so you right click copy image location and let's say i want to put it into this email i would just slide my image widget over now i'm in aweber your email autoresponder might look a little bit different but it's going to be the same principle and then once i slide my image widget over you'll see where it says image url that's where i put my image location and it just easily puts my image right into my email so it's it's that easy so now let me give you a couple more examples so i am as you guys probably probably know i'm in the home business academy and one of our founders paul hutchings gave everybody an email the other day a lot of times the leaders will you know write an email that's converting really well and share it with the community in case anybody else wants to send out that email so paul wrote this amazing email and sent everybody a link to his email which is hosted on get response which is his autoresponder so that people could easily go over and copy and paste it and send it out to their list if they wanted at the bottom of his email there's an image so let me show you how easy this is so basically all i did was you know i would copy and paste the text into my email obviously when you do this you want to change out your links you know obviously i don't want to send paul's link out to my people i want to make sure all these links are my links so then i just you know pasted the email in here i changed out my links but then as you can see he's got this image at the bottom so this i did the same exact thing with this image right click copy image location and then at the bottom of my email i would just drag my image widget and paste that image location in here and then there is my image now i always like to add an actual link to the images as well because some people will click on images so here the image url is where the image location goes the image link is where people will go if they click on it so aweber by default just puts in my website i always change it to wherever i'm sending people to in that particular email so in this particular email all of these links are taking people to a specific capture page so that's the link that i would want to have in in there but that's how easy it is to put the image in there i didn't have to download it or do any screenshot it or do anything i just right click copy image location and put it in okay so i just want to stress that any image that's already living on the internet somewhere this can be done with super super easily so let's say you just want to use a stock image from like unsplash.com unsplash.com is my go-to site for royalty free images if i just need you know a stock image that i want to use in any of my marketing or in a blog post or whatever unsplash is where i come to find royalty free images right so the nice thing about unsplash is you can actually search for any word so let's say i want a picture of a computer to put in my email so all these pictures of computers come up when i do the search for for a computer so let's say i want to use this one right click copy image location drag an image widget in and paste that in right there and boom now i've got that image in my email and again i could click on it and add you know make this link go to wherever i want it to go if i don't want it to just go to my website i could have it go to a specific place super easy any image that's living on online already so now i just want to real quickly show you what to do if let's say you want to screenshot something and put it in your email which i do all the time there's also a really simple way to do this that doesn't involve saving anything to your computer also okay so here's an example for you so i have a private facebook group for all of my all of my home business academy members and a couple of days ago my friend craig posted in there he said i just got my first commission i'm so pumped up so that got me pumped up because i love it when i see people earn their first commission so i wanted to share this with my audience and so i sent out an email explaining how craig just earned his first commission i wanted to share this image with them so all i did now if you're going to do a some type of screenshot where you're saving it to your computer that's a different scenario what i'm going to show you here is if you're using some type of a screen capture software that saves stuff online then this will work in the same way that i just showed you with the other images so i use techsmith capture so all i would do in this case is open up my my techsmith capture click on capture and then i would just you know get the image the way that i want it and i would click capture and then i would say upload to screencast because again it has to be uploaded somewhere it has to live on the internet to have an image location then i'm going to open it and here it is this is where it lives online so i right click copy image location slide the image widget in paste that in right so here's my email where i was saying five minutes ago this message was posted by craig in my private facebook group and there's the image and again i want to make sure that this is going where i want it to go so in this case i'm talking about how he did this using the freedom launch pad so i want to make sure that this link this is the image location but that the image link is going to my freedom launchpad link so that's how easy that is so i just wanted to share this with you guys because i think this is going to save you a lot of time and using images in your emails can be really helpful for a lot of reasons so let me know if you got some value out of this definitely give me a thumbs up if you did leave me a comment below ask any questions that you like and also if you're curious how craig got his first commission there'll be a link for that below as well if you want to check out the freedom launch pad for yourself it's a pretty awesome system and i always provide a link for that under my videos so anyway hope this has been helpful and i will see you guys in the next video
