in this tutorial we'll be looking at the Google Forms ability to use templates and the reason why we would use templates is to speed up the creation process for making a Google Form so in this example we're going to be creating a course evaluation from a template and the address to get started is forms google.com so when you enter that in the address bar it takes you to this startup screen recent forms appear below and if you're starting a new form then the prompts are at the top here if you wanted to start from scratch you would click this plus to create a blank one and Google Forms also has the ability to do quizzes where the answers are already built in to it so that's another useful feature that we are going to be using this template for course evaluation and while I'm on the topic of templates there are more than these ones that you can see here if you click this down arrow the template gallery expands down and you can see the full range of education personal and work templates from there we also have the ability to create our own at college templates but we're not using that at the moment so I'm going to begin with the course evaluation template this is now created a form for me to use based on that template and I'm going to make a change to the design of it first of all by clicking the color palette and we'll go with a green color now you'll notice that in this form if we walk through it there's a class name and an instructor as well so it's a fairly open-ended form so we're going to be deleting some of the text from there but the other elements of this form are quite well designed and we'll be using them so here we have a level of effort multiple-choice grid and this allows us to kind of grid up lots of statements and lots of descriptors that can match those statements so if I jump out of this this is an example where you've got more than one statement so this is level of skill knowledge at the start at the end of the course and so on and you can see that the script is over here that the students choose now you can set these so that the students must answer these questions by changing this requirement at the bottom of each question and you'll notice that this is the same whether it's a multiple-choice question or if we got to a short answer text question you can see that there's also a required slider there as well so you can adjust that as you go to make sure that the students answer the questions that you need them to answer now in the case of this test sorry this forum I'm going to pull out class name as a question...
