[Music] hi everyone my name is Gordon I'm from gimme OH and today I'm gonna show you how to add a Google Maps link into your email signature I will just open up my email signature which I've got in here this is the one I'm gonna be using today now a Google Maps link is this one right here if you're using gimme Oh already it's really easy to add the Google Maps link into your mouse eventually simply click on the icon there go to Google Maps which I'll show you in a minute and then paste your Google Maps link right there and then install your signature and that's it but the point of this video is to show you how to do it manually if you're not using video so firstly you'll need your email signature in a HTML file such as this one here and first off just open it up in Google Chrome and then right click on the Google Maps pin here and then go to inspect and what you want to do is have a look at this file name here which is a three map dot gif and you can also see the little preview up here of the pin so what you want to do is remember that in this case we'll just copy in there we go and now just what we'll do is we'll minimize this window and then open this HTML file here with some good text editor like sublime text she is one of my favorites it's decided to go away there we go okay so we've opened it up in sublime and what you want to do is do a ctrl F to find and then paste that oh three mapgive which is found right there okay so now what you want to do is actually put a little hyperlink in here which is a video that I created last week in which explains how you can create a hyperlink but this is slightly a slightly different situation so what we'll do is we'll just put normal hyperlink text in there and then I'll show you what to do okay so what you want to do is do that and then at the end of the image you want to put the ending a so a is the hyperlink indicator so whatever's inside the a which is this image here will be a hyperlink okay so we'll need to put in here the Google Maps link so go back into your Google Chrome and then go to maps.google.com now they actually already got an address here which I can use as an example and simply go in like that you search for your address on top now once you're sure that that's the address and the pin is located at the right location click this share button here okay it'll create you a really small link like that you could actually use this full link...
