hi I'm Richard Bern in this video I'm going to show you how you can create an approved senders list in your Gmail or G suite inbox this is also sometimes referred to as creating a whitelist in your inbox let's go ahead and take a look here I'm using my dog Max's account for this demonstration that's matched at Freitag for teachers calm and let's go into settings and here under filters and block addresses I'm going to create a new filter and let's say I want to make sure that I always get emails from GoToWebinar notifying me about the webinar so I've signed up for and when they're starting I want to make sure that those emails don't go to spam so what I'm going to do is put in the from address as app go to webinar comm and then select create filter and I can choose any of these options and the option I want to choose is never send it to spam this way any email that comes from an @ GoToWebinar com email address will automatically land in my inbox instead of getting bounced into my spam inbox accidentally now I can also apply other settings like always mark it as important but really the important thing is to make sure I've selected never send it to spam then I'll create that filter and now any new message I get from @ GoToWebinar comm it's going to land in my inbox and not in my spam and I'll also have it marked as important now you can do this from multiple addresses so if you want to create a new filter and perhaps I want to make sure that any email that comes from let's say at convertkit comm doesn't go into my spam I'll again create that filter say never sent it to spam now you can also do this for specific email addresses and not just for domains so let's say I'm having trouble for some reason emails are ending up in spam or ending up in a social filter as a put or promotions filter instead of in my primary Inbox well let's go and create a new filter let's say I want to make sure that anything that I get from my friend Mason anything I get from him I'm gonna create a filter of never sent to spam always mark it as important and I can also then create labels or I can even go ahead and forward it to another address if I want to so let's create that filter so then anything that comes from Mason you'll see is never sent to spam and is marked as important so that's how you can create an approved senders list in your Gmail orgy suite inbox as always for more tips and tricks like this please check out free Tech for teachers comm or subscribe to my youtube channel
