if you don't have the starter site installed head to step by step WP comm first thing I'll do is I'll add a spot in the footer so let's go to appearance customize and we'll go to layout footer footer bar alright this section too I set to none but if I use custom text I'm going to copy some of this stuff here from the first section because I'm going to use this link tag as a template so this link HTML tag starts with a I'm going to call this terms terms and conditions and now I just need to set the location to the terms and conditions page now I'm going to copy this put a comma space paste it again and this one will be the link to the privacy page I just need to change the location and in between the quotes to the privacy page publish that now when you go down you'll see we have a placeholder for both now when you make your terms and conditions you should go make sure you check it out with your lawyer as far as the content is concerned so here we have Google and terms and conditions template and there's this site here terms and conditions template com we're going to generate terms select your site this is a business site I understand okay fill out form so it can autofill the template okay for these sections of the form I just unchecked hyperlinking but you can add and remove stuff manually once you get the form as much or as little as you want so that's up to you okay now you can add a custom section and then enter in the code and then get your template select the entire template by highlighting it and then we're just going to copy the entire form onto the clipboard login to your site and now I'm going to go to pages new terms and conditions go to here the two tabs in the regular editor just go to the text this allows you to paste HTML and so now we've pasted the entire form into your new page click the visual tab you'll see how it will look so now we'll publish that this is the link where it'll be view the page so now that we have this page we can connect that link copy that go back to the dashboard appearance customize layout footer footer bar and the location for your terms and conditions goes in between the quotes and you'll see that it's now pointing to that page and now I'm going to go back to terms and conditions up at the top get privacy understand put in your information put in your address check any of these options put in your term okay get template once again copy the entire form copy go back to your site I'm going to add a new page privacy and again I need to be on the right tab let's go to the text tab and right click paste and we'll go to the visual tab go over this and then we will publish it now let's view the page okay and then you go through that with your lawyer and now we have a link to our privacy page here's the location of the privacy page copy that and go to the customizer a layout footer footer bar the second link is the privacy link paste it in there publish let's visit the site and see if it works terms and conditions check privacy check thanks for watching this video is part of a free program at step-by-step WP comm where I show you how to make an amazing small business site in record time using starter sites so you don't have to do everything yourself
