[Music] let's say we want to add your name your signature or even your logo onto one of your electronic images there are several ways that you can do this and we're going to choose a way that's actually quite simple now this is something that I used to do since the early days of electronic imaging I will put our studio logo or sometimes my name on the bottom of the photograph on the smaller prints like five by seven eight by tens and larger images especially if they're on canvas they would be hand-signed but with a click of a mouse you can add your name your signature or your logo so let's take a look so starting with a white piece of paper and a good solid black ink pen whether it's gel some people like using the fine point sharpie so you get a good crisp image sign your name on to that white piece of paper and then take your phone or your camera and make a photograph of your signature and then we're gonna bring it into Adobe Photoshop and any Photoshop program within the last 10 15 years oughta work you don't have to have the newest or the latest version of Photoshop and let's crop it to a reasonably high res file here we're going to crop it into a five by seven and let's just choose 300 PPI so now you want to select your signature so and then we're going to go to the magic wand tool make sure that your tolerance is set enough to pick up all the white background and if your signature has little circles or little areas where the magic wand tool didn't get to you as an example you might have an O or a G so you just have to take your magic wand tool and click on shift and then bring it inside the all or the G or wherever it is that you have to go so you can select that version so once you have all the background selected we're going to inverse that which is control shift I and that inverts your selection to just your signature now and then once you have your signature selected we're going to go into the Edit menu and then when it drops down you're gonna see the fine brush or I think the newer versions might say define brush preset and then you're gonna click on that and then you can give your brush a name and then we click OK and now you have your signature save as a brush and then the thing about using the brush tool to add your signature or your name onto the photograph you can make all different size adjustments and then you can easily change the color and many times I would choose a color that is in the photograph so if I'm putting my signature onto a dark area I'm going to choose...
