so I just wanted to create a quick video today on where you can find the serial code in some of the most popular Louis Vuitton bags around so I just wanted to say before we start and go through some of the most popular Louis Vuitton bags and where they're serial codes are located a few questions that are asked quite a lot so if your Louis Vuitton bag doesn't have a serial code it could be a sign that it is a fake but what can happen is so especially vintage Louboutin bags is codes can rub off or become really really hard to see or if your bag was made before 1980 your Louis Vuitton bag won't have a serial code if you drop me a comment below if you're worrying about the authenticity of a bag that you purchased I can point you in the direction of somewhere to go get your bag authenticated that I completely trust and get all my bags authenticated there as well so this is a Louis Vuitton never full bag it's probably one of the most popular it is the most popular Louis Vuitton bag going these are faked a lot so you have to be really careful when buying second hand always make sure you purchase from a reputable retailer such as hand buy calico UK where we get authentication certificates for all our bags if we haven't directly purchased them by ourselves from the boutique so we know that there a serial code doesn't mean the bag is real they are often faked so you have to be really careful so just because your bag has a serial code in it it's not unique to the bag all it is is two letters generally and that tells you where the bag was made in the world so if it was made in France if it was made in Spain if it's made in the US then it has four letters sorry four numbers after the two letters so this is all broken down on our website click the link below and it explains it all but basically the first and third numbers are the week so if it said one zero one it would be the 11th week and then the second and fourth numbers relate to the year so if that was 0 4 so 1 0 1 for the year would be 2004 are made on the 11th week of 2004 so with no further ado this is how you find the serial code in your never full bag so this is a limited edition louboutin never for this has been authenticated and comes with a receipt so the code in these bags are actually under this plan so this one has a black leather tab it can be quite tricky to show there so I'm not going to show the full code but you can see the tag under there so you just have to pull this back on if you're facing this way the right hand side of the bag and the date codes under there on the louis vuitton never for this is a louis vuitton speedy this is a speedy 30 bandha law which means it has the detachable strap but the same for all speedy bags the serial code is generally in the same place so you have these two leather tabs inside on one side which don't have anything on but if your speedy comes with a pocket so this one has a zipped pouch here you have to lift this up and then you can see the date code of this bag embossed in there and that is under the zipper pouch and if you're looking at the bag with the zipper sign it's on the right hand side of the bag facing forward next I've got the Louboutin Bichette Matisse this bag is so popular and it is copied quite a lot and in terms of where the serial code is it's not actually in the main part of the bag it's actually in the back of the bag in the zipper compartment so these can be quite hard to see but if you open your zipper pouch out just yeah these are really these are really hard to get hold off and you can't really pull them out of the bag I'm gonna try my best to show you this is you might be able to see a leather tab in there and that features the code so there can be an absolute pain it's a kind of see you won't be able to read this but you might be able to see it but there's a little lever tab in there and the serial code on the properties is located in the back on the if you were looking at it straight on the right hand side so the zipper closes to the left opens to the right and your tag should be on the right hand side just that this is a Louis Vuitton neo Noi bucket back it doesn't have any compartments on the outside so the serial code is located on the inside of the bag the back has three compartments and it has a zipper compartment in the middle and this is where your serial code is located or date code sorry and it's not sure you'll be able to see again these are an absolute nightmare to show but it's basically stitched in on a leather tab inside the zipper compartment just there so if you were facing the bag the code is on the left-hand side of the zipper pouch inside the bag this is a Louboutin toiletry pouch 26 in monogram and the serial code is located inside the bag nearest to the zipper and they are often embossed and they can be hard to see on the leather lining of the bag so you can see it just there we should hopefully be able to this is a Louis Vuitton on-the-go tote bag and again this has no pockets on the outside so the serial code is on the inside of the bag and it is inside the zipped compartment and it is off to one side and a date code is featured on a leather tab inside the pockets lining so if you are facing the bag it's featured inside the zipped pocket on the left hand side on a leather tab this is a louis vuitton oxy bag this is a vintage bag and the serial code is now actually quite hard to see so on one side you have the louis vuitton stamp and the date code is featured inside one of the pockets off the bag so it's actually on so there's three pockets they're trying to show you the best I can and it's actually embossed onto the lining of the pocket so this is not not on the zipper side it's on the other side with the leather tab and it's in the pocket on the left-hand side if you're looking at the leather tab this way sorry right hand side emboss'd fur this one to the right this is a louis vuitton keep all 45 and the serial code of these are quite easy to find so the bag features little leather tabs on either side if it has a zipper pocket lift the zipper pocket up this is a vintage loo vuitton bag and you can see the date code is embossed into the leather there on the bag this is a louis vuitton cap yusin's p.m. size in black there are no pockets on the outside therefore the serial code is on the inside of the bag the bag has various compartment but the serial code is located in the zipper compartment in the back of the bag and it's embossed into the leather of the bag generally in a different color so this one is gold and that is in the zipper compartment of the bag I really hope this video has helped if you were struggling to find the date code inside your Louis Vuitton bag remember a date code does not mean your bag is authentic and now often faked but if your bag was made after 1980 and it doesn't feature a date code it's quite safe to say that the bag is most likely a fake or the date
